“A few places I frequent are partnered with Panaderia Jazmin, and when I was in the vicinity of this bakery, I had to stop. All the pastries are kept in a self-serve display case. You grab a tray and tongs at the door, and then you fill up your tray with the pastries you want to take home. You hand the tray over at the register, and they package them up for you.I loved all of the items I went home with, and I look forward to stopping there again.“
“Fantastic food and the service is incredible! The meal was delicious from the chips, guacamole, cheese and salsa to the main course. Of course if a restaurant serves fried ice cream, you have to get dessert! 100% recommend trying this place I promise you won't be disappointed!“
“My friend and I ate here for lunch because it was a halfway point. Jimmy (the chef) came out and introduced himself. My infant daughter kept smiling at him! The food was delicious and very affordable! Great for a quick bite in the area. Not many other Mexican restaurants around!Kid-friendliness: Informal setting. Brought my daughter in her carseat! Owner was very friendly“
“The Food and Drinks are Spectacular! The Service is Amazing and attentive!I recommend the Taquitos as a Appetizer!WOW! So Amazing! I can't wait to go back and try some more items.Fish Tacos definitely lived up to the Hype I heard! So Good!!!Highly Recommended!Parking is not an issue a Parking Garage is located just a few steps from the Restaurant. Also it's free Parking under an Hour in the Garage so it's not that bad.Well worth it!“
“5 stars all the way. I'm vegetarian and my server recommended the mushroom taco. OMG. It was crispy oyster mushrooms with the precise amount of heat. I also go the baha fish taco and subbed potato for the fish. The potato was so crispy I thought they messed up my order and gave me fish. It was awesome, I can't wait to enjoy it again! I can't remember my servers name, but she was great too!“
“Incredible! Family owned, service is spot on, and the food is delicious! BEST mole ever. The smoked wings fall off the bone. We keep coming back and each time we like to try something new. We keep inviting friends and telling everyone we know of this amazing spot. The margaritas are delectable. Leo, my only positive suggestion, the food hits the table warm not hot. ?? Xoxo“
“It was a great place for dinner. With a decent amount of vegetarian options, the place had a nice selection of appetizers and entrees to choose from. The drinks menu was also quite nice with some unique drinks. The quantity of the food was really niceBetween 2 of us, we ordered 1 nachos, 1 burrito, 1 pair of tacos and 2 drinks. Quite enjoyed and look forward to having their churros once“
“I ordered THC from Uber Eats for dinner tonight and it was excellent. The bowl was BIG and made with fresh ingredient; I particularly loved the flavor of the chicken. Definitely recommend the queso and guac too! Like the other reviews say, skip Chipotle and order from The Hungry Cowgirl!“
“Great experience while dining in at this restaurant. Service was quick to take my order, and they had gotten my food to my table 5 min after ordering. It was lunch time when we ordered, but it was well worth the visit. Friendly atmosphere and really nice designs all around! Will be visiting again!“
“Pretty small area but the food is delicious. The food could have better portion sizes for the price but for what you get, there's not a single thing you will regret. I got the pollo loco and it was divine. Friend got carne asada and she loved it alot too. The drinks were really good too. They had a special on Margarita Day and those drinks were awesome, even gave us samples before we ordered. Then I got a few long islands and it really didn't taste too harsh at all (I did sub the pop for pineapple juice but still).Definitely would go again.“
“There's no shortage of restaurants in the South Hills that make good enchiladas, but the seafood enchiladas here are my hands-down favorite and blow everyone else's out of the water! Not only do they feature multiple types of seafood, but the queso and red sauces on top are incredibly good. My husband enjoyed his steak arepas as well.“
“Always super clean and super fresh! I shop there at least once a week, often twice, now a lot of my dishes and sauces are inspired by healthy Mexican cuisine. People usually buy in bulk at the meat counter but when I asked for just a half pound of chorizo to season my sweet potatoes and greens the gentleman was just as nice as could be about it! In my kitchen I blend cultures, a lot of beautiful things happen. Thanks Las Palmas!“
“We wnt to Gordos for my daughters boyfriend birthday dinner Sunday evening, .....Gordos on Shiloh in Mt Washington, we really enjoyed out food, jocee got the Nashville hot chicken tacos and her bf and I got the barbque chicken tacos ????? they were bomb, the street corn ??was fire , i can't remember what kind his aunt got but she tore them up, so obviously they were ??the queso was bomb as well the portion could have been a lil bigger , and the service and atmosphere was great.....also, everything is a la carte so 3 tacos was close to 30 bucks (for each of us) ??♀️, they need to change that, but none the less it was a fun, great time. , I didn't care about the price, overall the experience was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️... Smh the one time I ain't emarazzi taking pics lol, definitely recommend this place“
“They have best tacos I ever had. I went here for first time and believe me, this is my favourite from now.I ordered chicken quesadillas, Hard tacos with rice and beans, with overload veggies. Was so so so delicious.I had another soft tacos by their recommendation. It was also good. And 3 leach is fabulous.Highly Highly Recommended.“
“Was lucky enough to try this truck at the roundabout brewing pop-up. I ordered the chicken tinga quesadilla for $16 and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The quesadilla was massive. It was cut into 4 thick pieces, to fit into the to-go box. Under the quesadilla were fresh tortilla chips and hot sauce. I kept calling the sauce a "salsa" because it was thick and chunky. It was definitely hot! There was so much chicken and chorizo inside of the quesadilla, along with just the right amount of cheese. I really felt like I got my money's worth on this order. The staff were super friendly and my order was up in 10-15 minutes. They were busy though and I'm lucky I caught them early because they did sell out rather quickly, when the place got busy. My friends had the vegetarian soyrizo tacos and said they were flavorful and that the pineapple salsa was delicious. Will be buying from these guys again!“
“The food at this place as absolutely great. We always compare food with the best Mexican restaurant we’ve ever been to (in Arizona) and this is the closest competitor we’ve had so far. The guacamole was great, so were the deserts. The one complaint we had was the music is so loud it’s hard to talk with people at your own table. We wish the music was a little quieter. Other than that, it was great!Parking: We had to park at the bank. It’s pretty difficult to find parking unfortunately.“
“We order chorizo tacos and burritos from California Tacos. The food is consistently good and full of flavor. The chicken would be a better choice for those who are sensitive to heat. They provide fresh lime slices for the tacos, which is great! Pay cash and avoid the service fee. Love this establishment!“
“This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Pittsburgh area! It’s authentic and delicious. I’m from Texas and finding a spot like this is hard to find. Their tacos de tripitas are my favorite! I don’t think you can get tripitas anywhere in this area that I’m aware of. Highly recommend!“
“El Rincón is my favorite place in Pittsburgh! I've been going to the food truck for a while now, and I'm so happy I could finally make it out to Carrick to try out the new restaurant. The tacos are always fresh, and the carnitas melt in my mouth. I had the agua de piña last night as well, and it was perfect! I love these guys so much; best of luck with the new restaurant :)“
“Absolutely overjoyed to have authentic mexican in my neighborhood! As I was born and raised in California, I know the real deal when I taste it and everything we had was truly the best I've had in the 18 years I've lived in Pittsburgh! We look forward to when the dining room opens but in the mean time we will continue to take out and try everything!“
“This place is awesome. The Tacos and Quesadillas are hands down the best I've had in the area. Also, The Staff is incredible. I'm just thankful I live right down the street and can come here often. Thanks guys for offering up delicious food every day.“
“I orderes the platos con pollo, and it was delicious. The flavors meshed well, and the spices did not overpower the natural flavors. With the piquant, vibrant salsa, the food was the perfect blend of spicy, sweet, sour (due to the acidity of the tomatoes), bitter and umami! Regarding the servicd the nice man who was working was incredibly polite and helpful. He made sure our food turnes out fine. And he brought silverware over to us. I went here for my birthday with a close friend. And I was grateful to spend my cumpleaños here. ¡Muchos gracias por una expercion fantasicta!“
“Honestly, one of the best Mexican restaurants around. The staff understood the celiacs concerns we had and made recommendations accordingly. Food was prompt and delicious and GF. Definitely plan to make the trip for another round of grub!!“
“We were there yesterday for Valentine’s Day dinner and the food was excellent. They have so many vegan / vegetarian options which was helpful.I loved everything I ordered but especially their vegan chorizo taco. Love the lime kick in it. It was truly love at first bite. The waitron was very sweet and checked on us only when needed unlike many places where they keep intruding. Loved the atmosphere too!Vegetarian options: They had so many vegetarian and vegan options compared to many other restaurants. They have at least 6-7 in their menu itself and a few others that can be made vegetarian / vegan“
“I love it, it is a very familiar place, the food is delicious and the service is very good, friendly and respectful. One of the best places you will find on the waterfront. I recommend itKid-friendliness: The atmosphere is very familiar and comfortable.“
“This is a great Mexican restaurant in the south side. We were there a few weeks ago. The place has a lovely vibe and the staff is very friendly. We ordered table side guacamole, birria taco, tamale and enchiladas and a couple of mezcal cocktail the food and drinks we ordered were spectacular.“
“If you are looking for authentic TexMex, Fajita Pete's is the best spot in Pittsburgh for it. Everything is made from scratch, including their tortillas. We lived in Austin, TX and this was our first TexMex experience that reminded us of the food down there. Highly recommend!“
“Quirky location, but that only makes it better. Definitely worth the visit. Afteryour first, round two will definitely be on your mind. Also, where else can you get tacos, a sixer, scratchers, and a redballs all in the same spot? Do it! Do it! Do it! ?“
“Got the tamale which reminds me of back home in California. Has that traditional homemade taste as they are seasonal back west. The birria quesadillas are amazing and the consome. Don’t twist it cause if you want the cheese. It’s the quesadillas which are essentially tacos. Vs the street style taco they offer there. All and all. The food is very fresh and amazing. It’s definitely has more traditional flavor and more authentic in Pittsburgh. Highly recommend stoneys to any one. Cause Tex mex sucks.“
“This place nailed every part of the experience I seek in a restaurant. The atmosphere was very cool, the service was incredible, the food was great, the price was lower than I ever imagined, and I even met the owner, he was a very nice guy that seemed to appreciate his customers. It was an overly pleasant experience.“
“The food was good, the service was a little delayed could be because of the language barrier or because they were too busy. The atmosphere was not bad, just made me feel like I was an odd ball out for being there. Other than that everything else made the place great!“
“Don't know why this place doesn't have way more reviews and hasn't blown up yet, but it deserves so much more hype!! Las Palmas has the most authentic tacos I've had anywhere in Pittsburgh. It's essentially a taco stand outside of a Mexican grocery store -- you can't get any more authentic than that! You pay upfront by letting the cashier know how many tacos you want to get (3 was a good amount for a filling meal) and then you go up to the guy cooking and specify which meats you want in your tacos. You can see them literally cooking the meat right in front of you and it smells sooo good. I tried 3 different ones because I couldn't decide. There's a self serve toppings bar w all the classic options (salsas, guac, onions, etc) for you to load up your tacos after you get them freshly handed to you. The tacos were fire. There isn't any seating nearby which is probably my only complaint so we just ate them on some random steps nearby, but it's such a good vibe especially in the summer. If you're looking for tasty, cheap, and authentic tacos in Pittsburgh, this is your place!“
“The chips, salsa, and guacamole were all wonderfully fresh. The grill dinner for two is to die for. Delicious flame grilled veggies, chicken, ribeye, shrimp, all with tortillas and sides. The Diablo margaritas are also fantastic. Flan for dessert was subtly sweet and flavorful. 11/10“
“Too good couldn't take a picture until I was done! Got the chicken quesadilla and it was moist and delicious! Only complaint is it didn't come with salsa on the side! After I ordered I noticed you could add some for 25cents but then the line was too long too get any! It was a huge amount and very filling!“
“Chose tacos and was able to try three proteins without it costing extra. Loved the variety of toppings. The roasted vegetables and mango salsa were delightful. The pickled onions are also very tasty, but adding them will potentially overwhelm everything else on the taco.“
“Best tacos that I've had in a long time. For those that do not like it spicy be careful, the orange colored hot sauce is actually hot. Pico is also fantastic. Lastly they offer chard jalapenos as a side to go with the tacos. Every kind that I have tried has been wonderful.Parking: Small lot in front of the building.“
“Very favorite to go again. Food was excellent and great atmosphere for Mexican restaurant. Service was better then fair but waited long at times. Price is better than Taco Bell. Sure is more than that take out but plenty of leftovers and no problem with your order. Chips and salsa on your table while you wait. Will definitely be going again“
“Food, drinks and service were amazing. 4 stars because I ended up spending more than intended because of lack of prices on the drink menu and no one is going to sit there and ask how much everything is. This is the first non-high end restaurant I've been to that doesn't list prices.“
“If you like Mexican food and are in downtown Pittsburgh, make it a point to stop at this restaurant. The place itself has a wonderfully cozy ambience. Ordered the black and gold burrito. It may have a hometown name but it is wonderfully authentic all the way down to the mole sauce and queso dip. Just really flavorful delicious! Definitely going to be back.“
“Great food hall right in the lower north side. I went here on a Friday to meet someone, and it turned out it was 50% off all drinks at the bar (everyday from 4:30-6:30 I believe). I didn't have the opportunity to eat, but it appears there are 4 or 5 restaurants here currently. From what I saw there are a pizza shop, a taco place, wings, and I don't recall the others. Go and check the place out. Particularly nice I've the weather breaks. Follow for more...“
“My wife (from Mexico) says the tacos here are the best she's tried in Pittsburgh! That's high praise!Try the Al Pastor tacos, order them with flour tortillas.Kid-friendliness: They provide high chairs, and have a decent kids' menu. The enchiladas are made to not be spicy at all.“
“Stopped at this location for the first time. It wasn’t very busy so we didn’t have to wait long. I had a michelada which was tasty and reasonably priced. I also got a bean, rice, and cheese burrito. It was good but nothing to write home about, and they weren’t very generous with the add-ons.“
“Food was delicious! We had a pupusa with beans and cheese, a chicken burrito (huge) and a torta (also huge), and everything tasted great! The only thing that would have made it better would have been if they served chips and salsa while you wait for your food.“
“The restaurant is in walking distance from the hotel, so it was super easy to get to. The entire staff was friendly from the time I walked in. The restaurant was very clean. The strawberry margarita on the rocks was very good. The food was flavorful and I received it before I could even finish my chips and salsa.“
“This place has very good Mexican food. We're from the Southwest where good Mexican food is easy to find. Finding good Mexican food here has been a challenge. I had the rellenos with chicken, my husband had alambres pollo and both of us were very impressed. The chicken had been marinated & cooked on cast iron before being put inside my relleno which was egg washed and fried! It had amazing layers of flavor. The pico was fresh and crispy. My husband fell in love with the cilantro margarita. We has sopapillas for dessert which were thick, deep fried sopapilla chips with whipped cream, raspberry & chocolate drizzle & a scoop of ice cream. The food had authentic Mexican flavor & the ambiance is warm and welcoming & the use of multiple materials and textures shows the owners pride in his restaurant. We had a table that overlooked Market Square so we people watched & enjoyed Pittsburgh's historic architecture. 10/10“
“Probably one of the best Mad Mex in the city. Definitely the best wait staff around and always a consistently good meal whenever I come. Can't go wrong with any of their sides but the wings and pennsyltucky tofu are the best. The new tortilla soup recipe is bad.“
“We went here with our son and his wife, who live in the area. From the moment we walked in, my stomach was growling from the delicious scent of smoked meats! From the many delectable-sounding choices, I finally chose the pork taco and an apple chicken taco. Wow! The first bite had a kickback of spice that I wasn't expecting, but as I got used to it, I loved it! Oftentimes, spice overrides flavor, but this time, the pork was so tasty that everything blended well! Unfortunately, I didn't get to taste the chicken one I ordered because I was too full. I took it back and ended up forgetting it in my son's fridge. Oh well! My daughter-in-law had recommended it and will enjoy it. We'll just have to go back next time we visit.“
“I love the tacos from this place ? in particular the birria quesadilla comes with a side of “consome”where you can dunk it in the traditional way! ? the rice that accompanies the taco is very tasty too and the price is great! without saying that the service is angelic ❤️“
“I go out of my way for this location for a good reason. My order is always right and the staff is always incredibly kind, even when super busy, which is rare. The food is good and fresh and delicious every time (I go about once a week). I get a crunch wrap and other locations will forget the cheese, or give me the wrong meat, but never this one. It makes me so happy thank you to the workers <3 give them a raise!“
