We recently hosted a baby shower for our daughter, and approached to owner about catering the event for 35 guests... We enjoyed a feast of humus, chicken kabob, beef tenderloin kabob, grilled fresh vegetables, and rice... The meal was ready to go as scheduled, we were provided with chafing dishes and sterno to keep the meal warm, and enjoyed a great dining experience... Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the meal... “First time here. Good food and service! Only 'ding' is alcoholic drinks were weak and, the vanilla gelato did not taste like it but more likely ice cream. Gelato is creamier than ice cream. And it was not a scoop but more like 2 tablespoons. For $3, would expect a little more 'gelato'. Overall, good experience and would try again.“

“Waited 40 minutes for hush puppies while the restaurant was nearly empty at 3pm. Primary food order came 5 minutes later and my son’s order was wrong. It’s a shame because the food is good. But the service has been so slow both times I’ve been here. They did comp his meal. Just expect to wait a while and enjoy your drinks. Don’t come if you’re in a hurry.“

The food was good but it was the service that truly made the experience memorable. Our bartender Shannon, couldn’t have been more accommodating! She was super friendly, charismatic and her attentiveness was remarkable! From remembering what we had to drink, to bringing us refills without us having to ask, to going above and beyond to make sure our kids were happy and content. Numerous guests acknowledged how great Shannon's service was. Great venue! Great food! Outstanding service! “My boyfriend and I drove from MA to PA in April and we stopped at Ron’s on the first night before continuing our drive to our place to stay in Akron. We walked in and it was busy (Friday night at dinner time to be expected). We waited not long and grabbed two seats at the bar. The bartenders were all attentive, friendly and gave great recommendation. We shared Supersticks and Chicken Parm and a dessert to go. The food was incredible and great size portions. We loved it so much we ended up going back into town Sunday night instead of trying somewhere new because we enjoyed it so much that we wanted to try something else. The second night we shared the Nachos, a Buffalo Chicken Stromboli and French Onion Soup. It was equally as good and enjoyable as the first night and we sat in the dining room this time and the waitress was just as great as the bartenders! Now we say every weekend that we are going to drive to PA and stay the night just so we can go eat at Ron’s(one day we won’t be joking). Thank you for the amazing food, service and memories! “Over 30 year customer! The building needs cpr. So run down. The inside is worse. So sad to see it in such disrepair. Italian special is still great-best hoagie but the pizza,s that used to be the best also are not good. It’s as if they have no idea how to make a decent pie. It was such a great benchmark for awesome food but with age has become an uncared for institution that honestly makes going there a crap shoot each time. Please fix your place and restore it to its past glory.“
