“I’ve been coming here at least 1-2 times a week, and I can easily say they have the best, most fresh, and most reasonably-priced sushi in Ottawa! The owners are very nice and welcoming, they always greet every customer with a smile. ?I got the platters for a birthday party, which were a hit with the guests.I’ve never seen salmon and tuna this fresh in Ottawa. I usually go for the specialty rolls or tacos. I love the variety of the menu and how filled the tacos are.Highly recommend using their Google form to order since it’s quick, easy to use, and has all the menu items on there.“

“This review is for Happy Goat's coffee subscription program and their espresso beans. I have been a member of their subscription program for many years and I absolutely love it! I can customize when the beans are sent depending on my usage, and the delivery is always quick (2 business days, but I also live in the country). I subscribe to the decaf espresso beans and they work beautifully in my Breville espresso machine. The taste is wonderful and they make the best lattes and cappuccinos every time. Highly recommend trying the subscription program if you love drinking Happy Goat coffee and want to support local businesses.“

“I love this little cafe. Their cortado and the coffee in general are the best in the region - I've had coffees in Switzerland and I must admit that we have nothing to envy them. “Bridgehead on Wellington West is a reasonably large location with ample people watching opportunities (if that is your thing).The staff here are attentive and welcoming which lends to a good experience when you visit.With plenty of seating, you can almost always be sure to find a spot to sit and enjoy your coffee/tea/whatever.The age old question at this location is: which bathroom key is the most popular? The spoon, or the scoop? (there is a free undergrad sociology paper for someone)“

“Donuts are tasty although $5+ is pretty steep considering they’re pretty simple donuts. (I guess that’s the going rate with inflation and cost of ingredients. They’re good donuts just not that mind blowing). I just wish they had better to go packaging. I got the crème brûlée donut and it stuck to the bag. Before that I got The Christopher and the icing got all stuck to the plastic container. Maybe little individual boxes would be better.“

“A secret coffee shop under a church. Beautiful spot. I was there on a Saturday afternoon and it was very quiet. Nice place to hide, study, read. I loved the furniture and the big open space.

While we were there, a wedding was taking place in the church overhead. So we heard organ music and people walking down the aisle.

They sell a few pastries. We didn't have lunch while there, and I'd be curious to go back and try it. They also sell roseries and other catholic doodads.“

“I’ve been dreaming about visiting Luxe Blooms Flower Cafe since they opened, I finally drove over four hours to this little gem. It has such a unique concept, and I absolutely love the heart behind it. The drinks were fantastic — delicious, just as I’d imagined. The service was warm and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable.

That said, there’s room for improvement in the upkeep of the space. While I love the idea and the vibe of the place, the cafe itself is starting to show some wear and tear. The pink floor could use a redo, as there’s some paint splatter on the laminate, and the pink chairs are worn. It’s clear a lot of love has been put into this place, but it’s starting to look a little tired. I’d love to see some attention given to refreshing the space so that it can match the beauty and charm of the drinks and the concept behind it.

“This is one of the best coffee shops around. their coffee is tasty and fresh. if you dislike sweet coffee avoid getting flavour shots. I recommend getting an iced oat latte. when it comes to treats, I really like the muffins warmed up. One star I’m taking away is from the breakfast wrap, honestly it was a mess. I had a cheese and egg wrap and it was just big chunks of cheese and a bland scrambled egg wrapped up. And my wrap had dried out ketchup so that was gross. I would avoid getting wraps and just go for the coffee. It was really good. The baristas were very kind and helpful.“

“I have been going to this Bridgehead since my first child was an infant - and back then it was my "big thing" for the day and as a new mom it meant I met lovely people and even met other moms there. More than 12 years later - I walked in yesterday and was reminded of what a great location this is. The staff are always friendly and the lattes are always delicious. “Got to this coffee shop by accident, as i looked on GPS for one. Very clean, staff curtious, coffees excellent. If you are near by, it is worth a visit, while you bypass frenchised cookie-cutter shops. Starbucks stands no chance with artisan coffee shop like this.

“Recommended by our B&B Australis House, we had an excellent meal here with our two grandsons. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. The selection is large enough that children and adults can select great meals. Our server was amazing with our grandsons aged 9 and 11, suggesting options that they truly enjoyed.“

“I can't say it's cheap because nothing is cheap in Canada, but the place is worth it for a good breakfast for two people. The quality of the coffee is very good, the sandwiches are very very good and it has many options, you can choose a sauce and 3 garnishes, among which are tomato, lettuce, olives and others. Obviously even if it's in a refrigerator, they heat it up for you.
The place is very nice and the area is super quiet.
The staff is super friendly and considerate even though I don't speak French well. I will be back!“

This may seem like an odd thing to say, but it was really great that they made sure they rented an accessible portable washroom for their large market event. As I was sporting crutches (I recently broke my ankle), it was a total life saver that I didn’t need to take the stairs! Not sure if the port-a-potty is an “always” thing, but just the fact that they had it for their street market when so many folks wouldn’t even think of it made me grateful. Thank you for being the loveliest hosts! I’m not a coffee or tea drinker, but I’ll certainly tell all my friends about how kind the staff were!“

“While the cupcakes were good, I picked up a half dozen of mini-cupcakes to go as they were for a toddler and the box given was large and didn't have any partitions or way to keep the mini-cupcakes from rolling around. When they were brought directly from the shop to my destination, the cupcakes had all kind of fallen over and the icings melded together. They tasted good, but the presentation was lacking - not that a toddler would care - but would recommend looking into at least smaller boxes with some kind of partition or selling the mini-cupcakes as a pre-made set to go so that presentation can be preserved.“

“It's a pleasant spot in a quiet neighbourhood; I imagine most of the patrons are students and faculty of the university. I enjoy spending an hour or so with my coffee and a book. The staff are helpful: one day I had a spill and somebody gave me a towel to clean up my table, very thoughtful.“

“Nice place but they are often out of cups to have coffee in the coffee shop. So you have to use a paper cup even if you are staying inside. It's a coffee shop - they should invest in a few extra cups!“
