As it was a lunch deal I also got a vegetable soup as a starter. It was nice and I would have it again.You have options for takeaway as well as frozen options you could cook at home.Overall for the price this is a good lunch option.“

“Went to several great tables recently and this place didn't disappoint. Some risk, would have loved to see more creativity from such a renowned place (that's why 4 stars and not 3). Portions were on the small side (I took 2 appetizers). Service however was on point, taste was excellent and cooking done perfect. Very picky of me to give 4 stars but Vin Mon Lapin the night prior and Monarque on Thursday were a match, with a little extra. I would come back to club Chasse et Pêche. Very close tin mu book to 5 stars (4.5 can't give 1/2).“

“We celebrated a trio of birthdays while we were visiting Montreal. Nolan is super cool vibes and cozy. We let our waiter who I believe is one of the owners curate a menu for our group of 6 at a price point that we set. Felt like we had a great variety of food and good portions and they were able to accommodate some items for my dietary preferences. The food was really good but what was the best was the service. The workers were warm and so friendly and we stayed many hours enjoying the vibes. Highly recommend!“

“First experience at Vin Papillon. First of all, the place is small, the tables are close to each other, that surprised me a little! The service, although immaculate, was however very quick at the start of the meal, perhaps a little too much. Afterwards, it adjusted, it was less rushed and more pleasant!However, the quality of the dishes was up to par. It's excellent. It's creative, delicious! The ham is a must, as is the dessert, carrot cake ice cream sandwich.Excellent choice of wine. All quite affordable! 7 shared dishes, 2 glasses of wine, dessert and coffee for $100.It's wonderfull ! “One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Montreal! Every dish was delicious, and I really recommend the fennel salad and lemon yuzu ganache. “Good service- not great. Had to request more water and another glass of wine after waiting over 30 minutes. We were seated at the bar and it was a fairly busy night but often staff were available and and chatting. Food was very good but not particularly inventive. This may sound picky but the polenta was floury- not creamy or buttery or cheesy . A small detail but noticeable.“

“Went here last night with my wife, and 10 year old daughter. Great location, wonderful and friendly staff. We had raw oysters, lobster fettuccine, risotto, bone marrow, a couple drinks and dessert. Was great food, and experience. We would definitely return next time we are in town.“

“Tucked away at the back of a church this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. We sat at the chefs table and were able to see all the food being prepared and ask the chefs more details about the food. We had the wine pairing menu which was excellent. Our server was very accommodating as one of the wines was not to our taste and they quickly replaced it with an excellent choice. The flavours in each course were delicious and made want to savour every bite. We will definitely be returning to Restaurant Candide again.“

“I had an incredible 3-hour experience with their 7-course tasting menu! My favorites were the beef steak, quail, and two desserts. The beef and quail were exceptionally tender, and the accompanying sauces were bursting with flavor. Both dishes had a divine aroma when they arrived. Even though I’m not usually a fan of sweet dishes, I thoroughly enjoyed their desserts. They struck a perfect balance, not overly sweet, and the sorbet with sponge cake combination was delightful.The meal began with a brown butter mousse amuse-bouche, followed by the sea urchin as the first course. While the brown butter mousse was delicious, the sea urchin lacked a bit of its distinctive flavor for my taste. Unfortunately, the complimentary bread was served cold and didn’t make much of an impression compared to the other outstanding dishes.The service was fantastic. They efficiently cleaned our table, and water and wine refills were prompt. However, I found the ambiance to be a bit noisy compared to Europea, where I had dined previously. Overall, it was a memorable night at this restaurant.“

“I visited this coffee shop four times during a week stay in old Montreal. The coffee (I got flat whites) was consistently very good. The service was always friendly. They serve oat milk as a default (though regular milk is also an option) at no extra charge. I very much appreciate their effort in helping us all shift towards more sustainable choices by making them both affordable and delicious. “This little bistro is a real discovery! We were pleasantly surprised by the diversity and quality of the lunch menu, particularly the variety of tartars offered. Choosing from the different types of tartares was a real pleasure, and each of them was tasty in its own way.
