“Update 2024/01/29. Last time I went the food went down alot. Extra charges for cesar salad now, which was included before. Restaurant was FREEZING. With the old owners, this was my favourite resto for the past 9 years. Always packed and full of life! New owners doubles the prices and lacked the quality. Place was almost empty on a Friday night! Now it's closed for an undetermined period. Sad to lose such a great place.“

I have a gluten sensitivity (consuming gluten makes me ill), and the server as well as the general manager took my comcerns very seriously. Though there isn't much around, this half seafood store and restaurant serves crispy seafood.Captain Meal $44.99Shrimp, calamari, fish fillet, whiting fish (the smaller ones), rice, salad and fries.The batter is light and crispy, just perfect right out of the kitchen. I would suggest eating inside versus takeout. The flavors are just perfect and not salty. You can really appreciate the seafood. The calamari was perfect. But rubbery at all. Normally don't eat it, but the whiting fish was very good. Honestly, nothing tasted bad at all. Even the fried rice with veggies were good and fluffy. The salad was tangy and tart and really compliments the fried food. Fries were crispy. Everything was a crowd pleaser.Great food for a decent price. “I love this location! They were so accommodating, we got a booth in the restaurant on Saturday night right away even though it was very busy. I am doing keto and it was not hard to find a delicious meal without having to settle. The cauliflower mash was so tasty I wasn't even jealous of the mashed potatoes the other person had. The steak was done a perfect medium rare and the shrimp, scallops and bernaise sause were so good. I will probably be back for this exact same meal a few times. “I love my neighbourhood bistro. They have a small, consistent menu with a few specials. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. There is a small patio in the front, and two dining areas inside. But my favourite is the pretty, private terrace in the back, where some of the ingredients are grown. Brunch is very nice too. I only wish they were open for Sunday dinner! Otherwise it’s a relaxed, special little gem in Verdun ❤️“
