“Been patronizing Angelo's for years (years & years) - it's my 'Go To' place in Providence for Italian. There are plenty of good Italian Restaurants but Angelo's treats you like family . My favorte server is Thera - always smiling - always friendly - and always flying around the resturant making sure everyone is happy. My recommendation - ask for her :-)“

Our party of 6 includes hard of hearing friends, so this was a little bit of a challenge, but there was good energy in the dining room. Service was very attentive and the menu is eclectic. It is mostly Italian, with additional flair from Puerto Rico and Sushi. I am keto and a friend has a gluten allergy — not a problem. The kitchen accommodated us beautifully. My salmon with secret sauce was delish. The portions are very generous (you might have lunch for tomorrow). There were at least two birthday celebrations that night. Fun place to celebrate. “First time in. Monday night special is quite the deal! Food tasted excellent and portions are large. I was able to take home plenty of food and my unfinished bottle of wine. We did feel a bit rushed. Not only to place our order but appetizers and salads were served at the same time to our small table. We were asked multiple times if we were done with courses when we had forks in our hands. Because the food was delicious and very well prepared we’ll give it another try and hope for a better service experience.“

“I’ve been here a few times for lunch, and it never disappoints. Most of the time I order the chicken parm sandwich and fries. It’s always been good, every time I’ve ordered it.
They have a pretty extensive menu of Italian-American style food. A lot of pasta, sandwiches, pizza, etc. I’d never tried the pasta, but we’ve ordered pizza before, and it’s pretty good.
Whatever I’ve ever ordered from here, no matter what, it always comes out piping-hot, which is great.
The chicken parm sandwich was no exception, the super crispy chicken cutlet was crispy on the outside, and tender and flavorful inside. It held up very well to the lava hot marinara sauce it was covered with, and the mozzarella cheese-pull was the best. This place is definitely in my rotation of chicken parm sandwich spots.
The inside of the restaurant has weird decor. I guess it’s supposed to look like somebody’s grandmothers living room. I guess it does sort of. There’s a bunch of random old photos and items on the wall that makes it look dated.
The food is usually really good though, and I will definitely be back for more chicken parms.“

Parking: Parking is good until it gets really busy then it's hard to find a place. I would suggest you would call and make reservations“

Every dish that came to our table looked and tasted like the main ingredient is love. If you are fortunate enough to go when Mama’s stuffed squash flowers are on the specials menu, you better try them. Isabella our waitress was absolutely amazing. “My husband and I went for the first time on Saturday and sat at the bar. We ordered apps and cocktails and of course oysters. Best oysters in RI by far believe it or not. Drinks were ok but food fabulous! Would have given 5 stars if not for the bartender. She focused solely on my husband the entire time even gave him a free drink. It was very obvious and blatant disrespect to me. My husband even commented on feeling uncomfortable. As a former bartender the general rule is to pay more attention to the wife than the husband out of respect but also because most often the wife is writing the tip. We will for sure be going back but will sit at a table and maybe only order sparkling water.“

“This was an excellent amazing incredible dining experience!! We walked in late afternoon on a chilly Saturday afternoon. We were asked if we had a reservation, which we did not. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full. We were seated at the bar which we actually really enjoyed. The menu had many tempting choices. We decided on a glass of wine for him and a Pumkin head for me. As an appetizer we chose the meatball appetizer and the warmed spinach salad! Both really very tasty! We chose a traditional margarita Neapolitan pizza - absolutely delicious!! But what really really stood out to us was Brian!! His clear passion for his craft and his restaurant was so crystal clear and we loved his enthusiasm!! It was clear his staff were all happy to be their best and the repeat customers on either side of us who professed their love for the place made us ask…. How can we get one of these in our town!!??
