“We had a great birthday experience aboard the train & plan on returning many times. We chose The Spruce Car, (as opposed to the murder mystery) which is aptly named, as it's filled with rich, warm woods. The cozy lighting & up-scale, but not pretentious, decor created the perfect ambiance for a romantic birthday. Dinner service was nothing short of wonderful. Our server, Maddie, was friendly, beautiful, and attentive. Both of our dinners were delicious and the cocktails were perfect. More locals should enjoy the Bellevue Grand. It's worth every penny.“

“I visited the Portsmouth location for the second time this morning and this is a perfect first date spot imo. The large wraparound deck is so cute & cozy, like a farmhouse porch. & the coffee 🤩 I had a tiramisu latte last time, a cherry Garcia latte this time- I was not disappointed either time, the flavors were accurate without being overwhelming or weakening the espresso, & oh so delicious. The food is even better; the attention to detail & balance of flavor in the dishes is off the charts. I recommend the avocado toast or whipped feta plate, and if you’re not into coffee, their teas and lemonades are just as amazing.“

“First time here. Date night with my man. I made reservations through Open Table…I guess you really don’t need to make reservations for a Tuesday night :-)
I will say that we were there for about 40 minutes when we were called by the restaurant, reminding me of my reservation. I explained that we were seated by Adam and we all had a laugh.
Adam was exceptionally awesome!
They were terribly short staffed last night and he was working very hard to keep every one of the patrons happy. He even had some great suggestions on what to cook with some dressing that we had purchased from New Mexico. Adam knows about Hatch green chile!! Super cool guy and he made our evening special.
The food was ok. I read all of the reviews from both yelp and google before I went. I think that if the stats all align correctly, this spot can be pretty damn good. We ordered General Tso’s calamari for our app, I got the steak sub with sweet potato fries and my man got chicken pesto pasta and added shrimp. The plates did not disappoint and my drinks were poured well.

“Family run atmosphere with the best service I have experienced in a long time. The restaurant gives off “your mommas home kitchen” vibe with the friendliest, kindest, and caring staff. Our server stayed and talked with us about life and my wife and I (From Florida) felt right at home. The food was amazing! Scrambled eggs were super creamy (I had cheese mixed in with mine), pancakes were cooked to perfection, my wife’s French toast was amazing! The star of the show was the homemade corn beef hash, this is my opinion, is a must try! Will definitely come back every time we are in town! Thank you Timmy’s Staff for an amazing breakfast experience!“

“We enjoyed having breakfast at this wonderful place while in Newport, RI. The people who own it and those who work there are AMAZING, friendly, and take the time to talk to customers while keeping service at the top of their list. They (from the kitchen to the front door) look like they love working there and have created a loving family environment. Of course, the line was out the door and down the street, but that was okay because everyone enjoyed visiting each other. There is just one warning, the portions are enormous. You know when my husband can't finish it, it's a lot. 🤣“

“I took my wife there today for lunch for the first time. We made the 30-minute trek and we were not disappointed. I had Bluto's Chicken Sandwich and my wife had the Chickpea Wrap. OUTSTANDING! I would recommend to anyone looking for a good Vegan spot 👍“

“We had another wonderful meal at The Food Shack tonight. My dad and I shared the nachos which were superb and my daughter enjoyed her rice bowl. And don’t forget a side of plantains! Also they serve local beer now which is a bonus. You need to eat here!“

My partner tried the Arriva grain bowl, which was fresh and layered with flavor without being heavy. Both dishes tasted well thought out and clearly made with care. “Today we made a pilgrimage to Basil Yu’s restaurant, Yagi Noodles. My son happened to see that Basil had become a successful restaurateur while he was watching one of Guy Fieri’s shows. We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. Basil, You weren’t there, but your food is delicious. You get the Merit Badge! You weren’t there, but your staff is spectacular! You get the Merit Badge! We wish you continued success! Joe saw us walking to our Airbnb and yelled at us on the street asking when we were headed back home. Joe is a gem of a bartender. He has a gift of gab and can hand out the bs too. Nice local establishment with friendly customers and bartenders. We had Dan as a bartender too and he was a friendly, great guy! “The Lobster Benny on the brunch menu was really delicious! The rich, creamy, and slightly acidic flavor of the hollandaise sauce combined perfectly with the savory and sweet flavors of the lobster.

The steak and eggs were also excellent. The garlic pan gravy took the dish to the next level.

I got the Asiago cheese bagel with the from scratch homemade scallion cream cheese and I can honestly say this was the best bagel I have ever had. We also tried his fresh squeezed orange juice that was pure heaven and his homemade tuna and that was amazing too, it has a bit of a slow heat kick as you eat it, truly worth the trip as you won’t be disappointed! 100 % recommend. I own a really nice coffee machine and I’m still driven to go here all the time! Once you pay, you're forgotten. You'll sit and stare at your order on the counter for 10 minutes before you finally have to just ask for it. We love presto and will keep going, but just highly recommend ordering ahead.“

Last week I had ordered the Short Ribs over rice & brown with brown gravy. What an absolute treat: The Short Ribs melt in your mouth, tender- juicy great flavor. This Entree is a Sleeper- a must! In the past we truly enjoyed the Home town favorite “Fish & Chips” Served with Fries: This entree has a good amount of Haddock with a side of coleslaw & tartar sauce. Besides our weekly treat,we have tried there ClamBoil for a family gathering.Everything came out exactly as ordered. We were so impressed with the personal attention to detail and, of there staff knowing how important this is to get it Right. So I give them a 5- Star for the quality- attention to detail etc & a wonderful meal to share with our family. As you can see the owners Don & Donna have hands on their business & trained staff.
