It was such a generous and thoughtful gesture that truly made these two little kids day! We look forward to coming again in the spring (during hours your open)“

“We had a great birthday experience aboard the train & plan on returning many times. We chose The Spruce Car, (as opposed to the murder mystery) which is aptly named, as it's filled with rich, warm woods. The cozy lighting & up-scale, but not pretentious, decor created the perfect ambiance for a romantic birthday. Dinner service was nothing short of wonderful. Our server, Maddie, was friendly, beautiful, and attentive. Both of our dinners were delicious and the cocktails were perfect. More locals should enjoy the Bellevue Grand. It's worth every penny.“

“Ava took care of us. Came here for my brother and my birthday dinner. We happened upon live music – which was lovely – and our waitress was each knowledgeable, attentive, and super sweet. The stuffed haddock was INCREDIBLE. Comfort food level fish. Wish I had forgone the triple sec in the Passionfruit Marg, but the oysters, fish and dessert were all stellar. But none shone as bright as Ava. 9.5/10. Will be back as soon as I'm back in the state, and I'm sure my brother will be back with his family consistently.“

“Mostly replying to david & Miguel's review! There are two sides to every story and of course these guys would leave out a majority of the story! My husband and I were also visiting for the second time this Saturday. There usually is two girls so she was short staffed not to mention she was under the counter trying to fix the credit card processing machine when multiple tables walked in so she tried her best to get every table situated as she didn't know who sat first or what. Now a days nobody has patience and it's awful now she has got these guys their coffees and she gets a few other tables drinks and comes back to take their order she says what can I get for you guys and they say the check so she looks confused and could see they were upset so she then tells them they are all set as she pays for their coffees! Then she starts taking the next tables order and they start shit talking her before they get to the door how ignorant and rude it's a family style diner and you can't even be patient or realize kids are presents entitled assholes. Anywho we love Timmy's & Tara & Natasha they are always so kind and prompt and try their best!“

“We enjoyed having breakfast at this wonderful place while in Newport, RI. The people who own it and those who work there are AMAZING, friendly, and take the time to talk to customers while keeping service at the top of their list. They (from the kitchen to the front door) look like they love working there and have created a loving family environment. Of course, the line was out the door and down the street, but that was okay because everyone enjoyed visiting each other. There is just one warning, the portions are enormous. You know when my husband can't finish it, it's a lot. 🤣“

“Today we made a pilgrimage to Basil Yu’s restaurant, Yagi Noodles. My son happened to see that Basil had become a successful restaurateur while he was watching one of Guy Fieri’s shows. We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. Basil, You weren’t there, but your food is delicious. You get the Merit Badge! You weren’t there, but your staff is spectacular! You get the Merit Badge! We wish you continued success! “Iced oat milk latte with chocolate cold foam is perfect for this 93° day! You’ll never get a bad coffee here. It’s always the best around! I own a really nice coffee machine and I’m still driven to go here all the time! They even offer Knead donuts and a pressed juice kiosk and amazing chocolate chip cookies along with light lunch type of snacks, everything about it is fantastic!“

“The Lobster Benny on the brunch menu was really delicious! The rich, creamy, and slightly acidic flavor of the hollandaise sauce combined perfectly with the savory and sweet flavors of the lobster.

The steak and eggs were also excellent. The garlic pan gravy took the dish to the next level.

Our table wasn’t ready until a little over ten minutes after our reservation time, so we hung out at the four-seat bar next to the host station for a bit.“

“We were vacationing in Newport from Wisconsin and stopped in at Cappy’s. Sue the bartender was friendly and a wonderful bartender. The owner Joe, what can I say….what a guy! Joe saw us walking to our Airbnb and yelled at us on the street asking when we were headed back home. Joe is a gem of a bartender. He has a gift of gab and can hand out the bs too. Nice local establishment with friendly customers and bartenders. We had Dan as a bartender too and he was a friendly, great guy! “Had the extreme pleasure of popping in this morning to try NY Fresh Bagel & Bakery and meet Md, oh my goodness these bagel are delicious, soft and chewy and so good! I got the Asiago cheese bagel with the from scratch homemade scallion cream cheese and I can honestly say this was the best bagel I have ever had. We also tried his fresh squeezed orange juice that was pure heaven and his homemade tuna and that was amazing too, it has a bit of a slow heat kick as you eat it, truly worth the trip as you won’t be disappointed! 100 % recommend. Run don’t walk, support local not a chain and I promise this will become your new favorite bagel spot! Def is ours now! “Just finished great meal. Huge lobster roll, high quality kids chicken and big beefy kids burger. I had the fish n chips which was amazing! Old Bay fries and what had to be a whole Cod! The best part was Peter N. He was very informative, quick in serving the kids which lets Mom and Dad relax. Such a great day and great meal.“

“Loved the breakfast sandwich but disappointed in the strawberry cheesecake muffin. There was absolutely no strawberry until the muffin was just about gone and there was a tiny bit of filling at the very bottom and it barely tasted like strawberry. Really hope they can tweak that recipe because it was more so just a regular muffin with a cream cheese filling.. remove strawberry from the name at least.“

“Took my toddler here Monday and my only regret with coming here is that we’ve lived in North Smithfield for several years and this was our first time coming! My son (almost 3) loved seeing the cows and trucks that were set up there. We went inside to get a snack and he started having a mini meltdown because he wanted to go back outside. An employee (wish I got her name) came from behind the register and gave him a couple stickers and told me I was doing a great job, which really means a lot when you feel like you’re doing something wrong as a mom. I appreciate that woman more than she realized! 💕 I ordered a cream puff and 2 chocolate chip cookies. When the employee from behind the counter handed me my box she let me know she gave us an extra cookie! The employees really were amazing. My son loved his cookie, and I’ve been dreaming of that cream puff ever since 🤤 we can’t wait to come back and try the ice cream! Great snacks and even greater employees! Thank you for a great day!“

“We came into town for lunch and it was perfect. The mussels were plump and seasoned very well with the broth. The broth wasn’t gritty at all but like garlicky silk. Tater tots were seasoned and delicious. My husband had the pastrami sandwich and said it’s the best he’s had which is saying a lot because he’s had Katz Deli in NYC. Service was warm and attentive. Definitely recommend.“
