We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. “Waterdog was one of our stops while bar hopping in Warren this past Saturday night. We only went for cocktails and were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere up on the top floor! Very eclectic but it works! The outdoor space is deceiving compared to the inside. If they were open after 10pm, we would have gone back! The 02878 is the best Reuben sandwich I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Now I will have to find another go-to for other restaurants because they will pale in comparison to Localz 02878.“

Crispy cod sandwich $26 scallion tartar, cheddar cheese in ciabatta, with fries. Deep fried cod was fresh inside, but greasy on the outside. Tartar sauce was bland with no kick. Ciabatta and herb fries were quite good.
Crispy chicken wings $21 Fresno, sweet chili glaze. Nice chili flavor with mild heat, but chicken meat was too tough and rubbery..

Drinks are reasonable and delicious. Our server PATRICK WAS AMAZING. They explain specials and drinks. Most attentive and all foods were perfectly presented. Wanna another drink, ask and within 2 minutes it’s there. We had wild mushrooms and salmon that were incredible as appetizers. Caesar salad was fresh and lettuce crisp. Scallops special had my wife shaking her head. My seafood linguine was overflowing with fresh seafood. The dessert of “Snowball from Hell” can be shared. Our 54th anniversary was unreal.
