“It still breaks my heart being originally from Houston that Charleston doesn’t have the dim sum options, but this was one of the good ones. We started out with the Dragon sampler which was very good. I especially enjoyed the vegetable spring rolls. Amazingly fresh. I ordered the dim sum sampler which was very good (so much so that I ordered extra shumai and har gow). My roomie ordered the chicken lo mein which he liked a lot. The waitress was perfectly attentive and the atmosphere was well designed. I will recommend and return.”

“The family and I enjoyed our trip in today! The pizzas, Caesar salad, and meatball sandwich were delicious. My husband also enjoyed a loaded smoothie. The chai was ok but I wouldn’t get it again. Love the atmosphere though! Very cute space with outdoor dining. We’ll be back!”

“The best place in downtown Charleston to stop for a cocktail!! Adam welcomed our group of 7 with wonderful hospitality. We tried several different cocktails from the menu including the Bourbon and Clyde(this drink is a must if you visit Charleston), Manhattan, Sazerac, Ticket to Paradise, and Running Sraight. We enjoyed our top notch cocktails with the popcorn that was gourmet. Will make Doar Bros a place to stop every time we are in Charleston!! Well done establishment!”

“One of my top 5 restaurants in Charleston. Quality and taste is EPIC and getting to chat with Kazu and Chris just makes the experience so much more intimate. Such a fantastic value for the quality and quantity of food - my main recommendation is to keep a running list of the dishes served because at the end of the meal, you get to order more of whatever you liked a la carte. If you ever get the chance for a hard to get reservation here, TAKE IT!!!!”

“Simply perfection! The oyster selection is otherworldly. The chargrilled oysters the best Ive had in my life. (Florida born an culinary chef.) The peel & eat shrimp so plump and served ice cold I have craved them since I had them. The service was above and beyond. The atmosphere encouraged private chatter but also conversation with next table easily. Friendly and cheerful and above all excellent food served with smiles, suggestions, and ease. I will never visit Charleston again without making sure to dine here. (Do not eat the soup. I actually sent it back to the kitchen. Never have I had to do that. ) Highly recommend again and again for everything else.”

“Edmund’s Original is one of our favorite restaurants in Charleston. It’s the perfect mix of quality and price, with a team that always makes us feel right at home. I can’t speak highly enough of this place. Whenever someone comes to visit from out of town, we bring them to EO so they can get a taste of what we’re fortunate to enjoy regularly. The food is phenomenal - from the fried chicken to the burger to the steak, and everything in between. The beer selection is top notch. In-house developed cocktails are creative, while the classics are on point if that’s more your speed. The chocolate cake and an espresso martini are the perfect touch to finish it all off! Oh, and don’t sleep on the special events they host! When the chef teams up with other chef’s from around the state, they always deliver a unique and delicious experience!”

“Leon's is literally in my dreams! My boyfriend and I went there for the first time three years ago. It blew our minds! Affordable, delicious food, and such a fun atmosphere. We returned a couple of times on the same trip. We live in NJ... and set up a trip last year JUST to go to Leons. I am actually scared to post a review because I selfishly want to keep it a secret for my boyfriend and I. Man, if you like chicken and oysters... you cannot go wrong. “I read a comment my friend posted about Hall’s Chophouse and I was curious. I was on my way to Florida and I told my wife I would take her there for our 26th. Anniversary. Well, I must say I have never, and I went to many restaurants and bars, I have never been so please with everything. The reception, the impeccable and amicable service by Scott, the food was sublime and the owner Billy was so cordial and friendly. From beginning to finish, the experience was exceptional.
