“Best sashimi in Charleston. Way better than oku, kanpai tsunami or wasabi. This place had excellent service, the best quality and large portions that beat any other sushi restaurants prices!!!! They even gave my gf and I a free ice cream and brownie dessert for not particular reason!!! I’ll be back!!! My number restaurant is Sushi Taro“

“Wish I could give it 10 stars! I had an amazing dining experience at Wasabi in Mt Pleasant. The restaurant came highly recommended and still managed to exceed my expectations. Everyone was friendly and the decor was chic yet comfortable. Anthony was so friendly, helpful and attentive, he made us feel like family. As a first timer there, he helped us navigate the menu to our personal palates and his recommendations were on point! Don’t miss the Lotus Flower and Eel with Shrimp Tempura rolls. Equally delicious, the Twice Cooked Chicken and Pad Thai came out well prepared and presented. I don’t usually order dessert, but we couldn’t resist the fried cheesecake with green tea ice cream. Big enough to share, but you may not want to. Perfect ending to a perfect meal.“

“I dined at Umi Japanese Restaurant a good few weeks ago and have taken the time to thoroughly think about my experience. I like the atmosphere of the restaurant, it provided me the feeling of an orphan squirrel in the rainforest nibbling on some food. Service was excellent, I interacted with this blonde baddie who was very friendly and provided thorough knowledge of the menu. Manager was chill and fairly nonchalant. Never told me what was playing in his airpod but it sounded like fetty wap. Would dine again.“

“Picked up some pastries and a fresh baguette that are hard to find in North Myrtle Beach. Packed up some ice a Rack of Lamb and some Salmon. The Salad Bar and the Hot Bars are closed due to Covid but you can get some freshly made sandwiches, hot specials and sushi made for you. Good soup too!“

“We had a great experience at Konichiwa. We ordered the Dragon Roll, Godzilla Roll, and Red Rose Roll, and all three were excellent. Everyone in our family ended up having a different favorite.

The Godzilla Roll was my favorite, the deep-fried texture and flavor were outstanding. My wife’s favorite was the Dragon Roll, while my son loved the Red Rose Roll. It had a little bit of spice for him, but he still enjoyed it.

We also ordered the New York Strip Steak Bento. It was decent, but compared to the sushi rolls, it was just okay and didn’t stand out.

For dessert, we tried the mochi ice cream, and my son liked it.

As many other reviewers have mentioned, the staff was attentive, friendly, and checked on us regularly throughout the meal.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable visit with delicious sushi, good service, and a nice atmosphere. We’d definitely come back, especially for the sushi rolls!“

From the moment you step through the hidden entrance, you know you're in for something special. The intimate chef's counter, the interaction with the sushi chefs, and the attention to every detail make the entire evening feel personal.

The 17-course omakase was exceptional. Every course built on the last, showcasing incredible seafood, flawless technique, and creative flavor combinations( we opted out of the caviar and truffles but I can only imagine that took it to the next leve)l without ever feeling overdone. The pacing was perfect, and each dish was explained in a way that made you appreciate the craftsmanship even more.

Charleston has no shortage of great restaurants, but Sushi Bar has created something truly unique. It's the kind of place you book for a celebration, an anniversary, or simply because you appreciate world-class food and hospitality.

I've been fortunate to dine at some outstanding restaurants around the world, and this experience belongs in that conversation. Without question, one of the best dining experiences in Charleston, and one I'll be recommending often.“

We are from New Jersey and had the pleasure of having dined with on the delicacies created by Tim at our local sushi restaurant and are jealous that folks in Charleston have access to this great restaurant. “Best Orange chicken I eat your once a week It’s never different consistency is key orange chicken with great flavor. Fried rice is phenomenal. It’s 10 minutes from my gym. I call and it’s perfectly ready every time I get there. You can’t beat this place everything good though egg rolls too chefs kids“
