“We hosted our daughter and son in law's wedding dinner reception. We live in Virginia and planning this event from two states away was daunting, but Eli made planning flawless and easy, answering every nervous mother of the bride question promptly with so much interest and attention to detail. We had some food allergies that were handled with ease. The food was delicious, the private dining area was perfect, the patio cozy. The service was impeccable. This was such a memorable experience from planning to the bride and groom's send off. Perfect in every way!“

I sat in a bar booth and had fun interacting with the very interesting, knowledgeable server, who also was an adventurous cook at home. “My wife and I recently enjoyed a quick staycation at Wild Dunes Resort and made a reservation at the Oyster Catcher. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by James and Georgia, and they were absolutely phenomenal. Their warm welcome, upbeat energy, and amazing personalities truly set the tone for a fantastic night.

We were also fortunate to meet Christina, who I believe is the assistant manager, and she was absolutely wonderful. She checked on us several times throughout the evening and made sure everything was going smoothly. Her kindness and attention to detail really stood out and added so much to our experience.

Our server Kendall was nothing short of incredible. From start to finish, she was spot on. We had such a great conversation and learned that she works there during the summers. The Oyster Catcher is extremely lucky to have someone like her. She was sweet, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

A huge shout out to the chef as well. The food was amazing. We had the skirt steak, potatoes, Caesar salad, and fried oysters. Every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully prepared.

Lastly, hats off to the bartenders who made the old fashioneds spot on. Their skill and care in crafting each cocktail were the perfect finishing touch to an exceptional evening.

Thank you so much to the entire team for making our staycation so memorable. We will absolutely be coming back just for another meal at the Oyster Catcher. Five stars are not enough. Everyone we met was truly outstanding and we are so grateful for the incredible hospitality.“

“The flavors of this place are phenomenal. The Fajitas Texanas for two feeds 3 or 4 people easily. I appreciate that they offered several different sides, including steamed mixed vegetables. The atmosphere was fun and engaging. While we sat inside, there was plenty of outdoor seating. Our waitress wasn't attentive after our dishes were delivered, but seemed in a rush to clear our food away well before we got our check and were ready to go.“

“It still breaks my heart being originally from Houston that Charleston doesn’t have the dim sum options, but this was one of the good ones. We started out with the Dragon sampler which was very good. I especially enjoyed the vegetable spring rolls. Amazingly fresh. I ordered the dim sum sampler which was very good (so much so that I ordered extra shumai and har gow). My roomie ordered the chicken lo mein which he liked a lot. The waitress was perfectly attentive and the atmosphere was well designed. I will recommend and return.“
