“We hosted our daughter and son in law's wedding dinner reception. We live in Virginia and planning this event from two states away was daunting, but Eli made planning flawless and easy, answering every nervous mother of the bride question promptly with so much interest and attention to detail. We had some food allergies that were handled with ease. The food was delicious, the private dining area was perfect, the patio cozy. The service was impeccable. This was such a memorable experience from planning to the bride and groom's send off. Perfect in every way!“

I sat in a bar booth and had fun interacting with the very interesting, knowledgeable server, who also was an adventurous cook at home. I sampled new things and compared dishes with other diners as they were leaving. It is my new favorite restaurant in Charleston! The interior is pretty, cheerful and bright. The oyster / bone marrow was elegant. So many good dishes. Their sister restaurant, The James, is also wonderful! It's not as upscale, but delicious, non-the-less! “We like Seewee and go a few times every year. The food is good. My only co.plaint is the fish stew. There was no fish in it except maybe a flec or two. It was canned diced tomatoes in a bowl, no flavor at all. I have never asked to not charge me for a dish at a restaurant but I wish I had.“

A surprise favorite was the hummus, which leaned savory and earthy with warm pita and seasonal garnishes. It was a smart twist on a familiar classic.

The roasted beet salad was generous and visually striking, showcasing the kitchen’s eye for color and texture. For mains, the whole branzino was a showstopper. “The risotto was over flavored with Tarrogon (no warning in menu) and had large hard peppercorns in it. The Faroese island salmon had a lovely crispy skin but a lot of dark fatty and strong flesh under it. The bread is amazing, maple apple salad and the fish soup special with saffron tomato broth were excellent. The short rib and gnocchi was very good but too much food. Our waiter was exceptionally efficient.“

“We wanted to have lunch so we went to Agaves Cantina. The local recommended it, and they greeted us at the door and got us settled at a table. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful.

Fernando was our server, and he brought out the menus. After talking with him, we decided on the Pollo A La Creme, Quesadilla Fajita, and Nachos Fajita.

The server bought out some chips and salsa, which was a great start to our lunch. Both the chips and salsa were delicious, and everyone in our group enjoyed them.

The server brought us out all our dishes, and they were all really well-made, delicious, and perfect lunch options. There was definitely enough food to go around for everyone in our group.

“It still breaks my heart being originally from Houston that Charleston doesn’t have the dim sum options, but this was one of the good ones. We started out with the Dragon sampler which was very good. I especially enjoyed the vegetable spring rolls. Amazingly fresh. I ordered the dim sum sampler which was very good (so much so that I ordered extra shumai and har gow). My roomie ordered the chicken lo mein which he liked a lot. The waitress was perfectly attentive and the atmosphere was well designed. I will recommend and return.“
