“Miller was our waiter. We had not dined there previously. There were four of us. We opted for the “ grub experience”. ( I think is what it was called). Miller chose a family style meal for the four of us to share. It was beyond fantastic. This topped Off a week of some fine dining and it surpassed all. We cannot wait to dine in again. My sister and brother-in-law came in from Memphis to celebrate my birthday, and everything—from the food to the service—was outstanding, as always. “Food is good. I wouldn’t recommend ordering take out because they skimp you on sauce and food unfortunately. I always have a good experience with the server. He literally runs that whole place by himself. I’m seriously always impressed by him and hopefully he’s getting all his tips and not sharing it with the nuisance/ eye sore that sits behind the counter stuffing her face while scrolling on her phone constantly in front of customers. She’s so rude and has terrible customer service skills. I come here pretty often and she’s always behind the counter doing the same sh’t. When I have to go to the counter to pay, she never acknowledges or even gets her face out of the phone to speak to me for two seconds. I’m in the food business, so I am all about good customer service and handling the tasks professionally. I’m a good tipper and I expect it to be worth it in all aspects. Again, Food is great. Server is amazing,. just not a good experience with the two behind the counter 🤷🏻‍♀️“

“Ordered. A fish and shrimp combo which is supposed to come with two pieces of fish and six pieces of shrimp. I got one piece of fish and five pieces of shrimp. For my side, I chose corn on the cob that I think had been sitting around for a week. The hush puppies tasted like they were straight up cornmeal that was fried. Not sure what happened with this location. It used to be the testing ground for corporate to try new menu items. Now the food quality has deteriorated so much that I probably will not return.“

From entering & being warmly welcomed, to excellent cocktails & mocktails with Nicholas at the bar... the night started well. The decor & theme were well done in this historic building. All the staff knew the history and proudly shared it. Mason was an outstanding server and we were well pleased with our food and wine at dinner. Our table had Eggplant Parm, Lamb chop and the NYStrip, after wedge salads. We shared roasted mushrooms and creamed spinach sides, ample portion for 4 people to share. The pianist was a nice bonus, and the volume was perfect. We were able to have conversation without the music being overly loud. Julian, the manager, gave us an extra tour after dinner, to answer questions we had. Will hope to come back, when in town.“

“I have been to this restaurant many times and went last night for my birthday with my family. The coffee encrusted filet is phenomenal and this is the only place I have ever seen it. Along with the scalloped potatoes side and the artichoke dip for an appetizer I was so pleased. Everyone enjoyed what they got whether it was the salmon, French onion soup, or other steaks. Our server was so kind and attentive and found out it was my birthday so gave me a free dessert along with champagne and a card signed by the staff. We will be back again before my next birthday for sure!“
