“Love going here! Tbh the food is nothing to write home about, but there is no better way to spend a nice evening than outdoor seating, watching the sunset over the lake and (not) feeding the ducks with friends and family! The chips and queso are great and I do recommend! You can also enjoy watching football games inside on tv when it's cooler weather (and I assume other sports).
It's so nice having this gem here out of the way of the busier parts of town! Also my husband is very gluten sensitive and they have never made him sick! Very few places can claim that! If the food tasted better we'd eat here every day!“

“Oh. My. Goodness. I have had several favorite Mexican restaurants in the Chattanooga area, from La Bamba to El Fogon...but there's very little chance that any place would displace my newest and "bestest" favorite, Spanglish (previously Las Morelianas). I went there yesterday with three friends, we all had completely different dishes, and we were all 100% completely satisfied. Although the tastes of each dish (we all had a bite of each other's) were all perfectly appreciated by all, the big kicker for me was that the manager came around, after my other three friends had been served their entrees, and explained that he was sorry that mine was delayed, but that it had come out of the kitchen on time, but he was not pleased with the way it looked, so he sent it back and had it remade. THAT is customer service, and THAT is what makes a restaurant a cut above the rest. I am sorry that I can't remember our lovely waitress's name, but her attention to our need (including refilling our drinks before we even asked) was top notch. I can't say enough good things about this place; everything was not only a cut above the rest, it was all simply perfection, and all four of us agreed on that. Eat Here! You won't ever regret it.“

“We used to go to the one in Ooltewah, it was our go to place when we was out of ideas, or we wanted cheap food quality Mexican food. This was our first time at the one in East Ridge and it didn't disappoint! The food was the same super quality as we know it from Ooltewah and the service was the same great service. “Since moving back to TN I've always found the local Mexican food disappointing. Discovering this place has been a game changer. The food aint fast, cheap, or fancy, but it is killer. The Agua fresca drinks are made with real fruit and taste delightful. The staff has always been very welcoming and it gives off a homey vibe. The only downside is its a fairly small place and not suited for large groups.“

I guess people just prefer the over priced places with fake cactuses. The steak tacos mexicanos may be the best in Chattanooga. Enchiladas were good, not great, and the burrito loco was easily 2 meals. We will be back.“

“First time here. Tried a grilled burrito and a cheese pizza to compare Mexican and Italian offerings. Both were first rate. Burrito ingredients fresh and tasty. “This Amigo's Restaurant in the Brainerd Chattanooga area is becoming our go to because the food is not only great but the service and atmosphere is A+ as well especially around the Christmas holiday. We some amazing soups starting with my wifes chose of Ablondinga Meatball soup which was fantastic and my Chicken Tortilla soup was fabulous. “After seeing huge burritos, I ordered a chimichanga (thinking it’d also be big)… when it was brought out I had to question if I accidentally ordered a “mini chimi”—nope. Although small, it *was* tasty and I enjoyed my meal.

We asked for the “hot” salsa and chose the red one (green was also an option). It was better than the one they normally bring to the table, but it was $2 added to the bill for that small bowl.

The moment we walked in we were immediately treated like family members or regular customers. The staff were friendly, professional and kept smiles on their faces. Normally this never happens or it's temporary and ends once you place your order, but not with these wonderful people. We eventually picked a few dishes to take home and then the food to eat at Taqueria y Fonda la Bonita. I was prepared to pay a pretty penny for good food but that wasn't the case. Our total was way less then we expected and they insisted on making the take home orders when we were about to leave (a 15 minute heads up is all they wanted from us). We loved the food presentation and the attentiveness of the employees, but we quickly became infatuated with how good the food actually was. For the first time in what seems like forever, no one touched their phones or said a word☺️. My kids literally cleaned their plates and begged to come back tomorrow.
