“It is a nice, clean, franchise location, with a very nice owner. I happened to have met the owner on multiple occasions, who had to make subs because this location is infested with unprofessional and rude staff which they had to fire. So for a brief period of time, they had one worker for day shifts with the owner of this location pitching in. Since then they have hired new staff, but you might want to watch them because they have messed up a sandwich or two before on accident. Yummy sandwiches.“
“Okay I’m not a “review” person. I’ve lived in Chattanooga my whole life (30F) and been to River Street Deli multiple times. I always recommend it. Part of the charm is the owner who takes orders. He pretty much tells you what you should order and from my experience you MUST listen to him. Don’t change anything on the sandwich. Trust him with your life. Trust the process. Today he ordered for me a sandwich with fig jam, which I normally would not get a sandwich with that, or ask for it without. But I know to trust this man. Chattanoogans know to trust this man. This was, I kid you not, the best sandwich I’ve had in my whole life. I kept trying to think of a better sandwich - to no avail. Prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, arugula, fig jam on ciabatta bread from Neidlovs (another Chattanooga staple). Every bite was different, with different amounts of ingredients. The fig jam was life changing. All of it together? The best sandwich I’ve ever had. In my entire life.“

“This is the cleanest restaurant and bathroom I think I've ever been in. The bread for the subs is so good! Just lightly crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. I ordered the Turkey Bacon Ranch grilled, and it was really good. The Ranch is more mayonnaise like and not sweet like some. The hand cut fries were also good and arrived at our table hot and fresh. The seasoning reminded me of something, but I couldn't figure out what. We got a large and it was more than enough for 2 people. My husband ordered the classic Italian sub grilled. He thought that the meat combination was good and was glad that the ham wasn't sweet! He also liked the banana peppers on it.“
“I have now gone to Mindy B's Deli twice. It's a great little deli with some great options to choose from on the menu. I was deciding between a couple of different items both times I went, and Mindy made some great recommendations each time.First time I ordered the special of the month for January of 2024. It was a baked falafel burger that came with tahini, tomato, cucumber, onion and I added pickles to it. It had a very good flavor and texture to it that was similar to some of my favorite black bean burgers.The second time, again from a recommendation, I ordered the Pineapple Express. This is a grilled wrap with chicken, barbecue sauce, pineapple, red onion, provolone cheese, cilantro and bacon (which I ordered without and instead added pickles). The grilled wrap was really nice and the whole thing is almost like a bbq chicken pizza in a wrap.Last, the sides I got each time were just as good as the sandwiches. I could order just the grilled vegetables and that would satisfy me. Then the three bean chili I had today was perfect, especially with it being in the single digits outside. The broth had great depth and a lot of vegetables in it.I look forward to trying some additional items off the menu and seeing what specials they have in the future.Vegetarian options: Almost all of the sides are and salads are vegetarian or can be made vegetarian or vegan. There are also a few vegetarian sandwiches.Dietary restrictions: There's a lot of vegetarian and seemingly vegan options here. One of the cookies is gluten free, too, I believe.“
“I work in downtown Chattanooga. This is one of my favorite lunch spots. Best onion rings ever. Steak in a sack is delicious. I have had many different sandwiches on the menu and I am never disappointed and leave full (no dinner required on the days I eat here for lunch).“

“The food is good, but a bit pricey in my opinion. It was over $60 for 4 people to have basic sandwiches, fries and drinks. There is a nice sandwich topping bar to give your sandwhich an individualized flair. It is nice that you can add as much topping as you desire. The veggies on there are very fresh and well presented. This does offer a little reasoning to why it costs a little more. They also offer a basket that includes both fries and onion rings, which is unique.I tried the frings (fries and onion rings) basket and the grilled chicken pita. Both of them were very good.Overall, it was a good experience. We would eat there again if the opportunity presented itself.“
“Enjoyed our stop here for a late evening meal on our road trip. Standard menu for the chain. Restaurant area was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food portions were good.My husband likes the flatbread pizza. He asked to add black olives and was happily surprised by the amount of olives they used.I like the veggie salad, topped with grated cheese. Each ingredient was a generous serving.“
“Every McAlisters that I walk into in Chattanooga has fast and friendly service. I like this particular location because you can order ahead and pick it up at a pick up window. The quality of the food is always amazing. My husband and I get a pick 2 for lunch or light dinner and just split a 3rd one if we are REALLY hungry. Basically we each get a half of a BIG sandwich, a soup and a salad. Or sometimes he gets one of the spuds. Which is a decent sized potato packed with stuff. We eat here at least once a week, and it never gets old because they have such a big variety of items on that pick 2.“

“Hixson Pike location. Folks, this is better than store bought chicken salad. Barbie Q and the Sassy Scotty are my personal favorites. Macaroni and Cheese has the homemade crockpot flavor- a plus. The Grape Salad is divine. It's made from grapes, cream cheese, crushed pecan pieces and it's to die for.“

“Friendly service, just wish a bit more time was spent preparing my salad. I have spoken with several subway artist and the theme is common. We hate making salads. Maybe it's time to fix that though process and make salads an enjoyable experience for staff and customers alike.“
