“I went there with a bunch of my college friends and honestly everything was great. Chips and salsa was excellent and the guacamole tasted great. We ordered a few top shelf margaritas pitchers and they were just as strong as he said they would be. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately my friends were being rude and lying about what they ordered once they saw the price of the bill. Felt kind of bad for our server because our experience couldn’t have been any better.“

Between the four of us, we sampled quite a bit of the menu: the salt and pepper shrimp, smashed cucumbers, two orders of the super garlicky noodles, the creamy coconut tom yum noodles, the monthly specials, and all three desserts. I also ordered the **You Can't Tame This Wild Pony** cocktail, and it was absolutely unbelievable—one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time. Every single piece of Sushi was super fresh and just melts in your mouth, it is honestly going to be hard to go anywhere else after having been to Shiro. The prices definitely reflect the quality and freshness difference compared to other places and is 110% worth it.“

When you first walk in, they have their homemade meats hanging in a meat locker. I thought he was going to lose his mind! Pizza and dessert was beyond fantastic! It all is fresh AF. No joke. “This is such a cool place!!! I've loved jazz music since I was a teenager and jazz music venues are in short supply in San Antonio. I've been wanting to check this place out and finally got the opportunity to hear Wyatt Michael in person!! It was a fantastic evening of crooner standards by a voice that sounds uncannily like Frank Sinatra! Unbelievable! The house band was terrific! I love that it's a basement venue too, just like the old NY joints. It's intimate and fun! The staff are excellent and the whole experience was amazing! Highly recommended for jazz lovers of all ages!“
