“I swung by Terry Black’s this morning to pick up a big order of barbecue to take to friends in California, because they need to know what the very best barbecue in Texas tastes like. ❤️⁣ ⁣ Chad, Sharon, and Kait were so helpful behind the counter, making sure everything was wrapped perfectly for a travel cooler and ready to survive a flight, complete with reheating instructions for when it arrived.⁣ ⁣ What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. They took the time to visit with me, answered all of my questions, and made the whole experience feel personal instead of rushed. We ended up having some great conversations, and they even let us sample a few things before we decided exactly what to order.⁣ ⁣ The food is phenomenal, but the people are what make you want to come back. Texas barbecue is about more than brisket, it’s about generosity and making people feel welcome, and this team absolutely nailed it. Can’t wait to share a little taste of Texas with my California friends.“

We ordered the whole fried chicken, sizzling chicken, and pancit, and every single dish was absolutely incredible. The fried chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside. The sizzling chicken arrived hot and sizzling with bold, mouthwatering flavors that kept us coming back for more. The pancit was perfectly seasoned, packed with fresh ingredients, and tasted just like home. The food was truly out of this world—authentic Filipino comfort food made with love. The portions were generous, the service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere made us feel like family. “Can't wait to go back! As a first time customer, I had excellent customer service while I was at the Nothing Bundt Cakes Great Hills Trail location in the Arboretum area. I went because I learned they have gluten free options. I was even happier when I learned they could prepare the cake without the (dairy... buttercream) icing. The customer service from the manager went far and above what I expected. I went home with a cake that my daughter, who has gluten and dairy allergies, could not only eat but also really enjoy the cake. We did add a simple lemon sugar icing. It was so simple but very good. The second day it was still excellent. Can't wait to use my buy one get one free coupon within the 14 days. Fourteen days may be too long.“

We have been coming here for years and the tourists that feel it’s a “tourist trap” need to understand what type of restaurant they are walking into- local, great food, service and family owned. Knockout martini is amazing, Bob Armstrong dip is unbeatable. The burritos and beef fajitas are the best by far.
