McDonald's in Austin

“Been eating here for the past year, almost every day.
The best french fries I’ve had! Always JUST fried, food is fresh as can be, especially for McDonalds restaurants.
Looks like something really change with them and they do have healthier food.
Stuff members are very pleasant and amazingly friendly, thanks for feeding me for the past whole year!

“Love their coffee. This is one of the only places that will give you as many half/half’s as you need. Trust me up to 15 I believe. I only always need less than that. But that makes the difference, I always enjoy my coffee.

“I want to commend the staff at this location. I placed an online order for breakfast and when I showed up the app showed the order had been canceled. I explained the situation and the staff was able to resolve the issue and did it with a smile! Amazing service!! I didn’t get her name, but it was a friendly African-American woman at the front counter who was handling the breakfast rush like a champ. She turned a bad situation into a return customer!“

“The employees were great. However my order was missing am item. Fortunately the drive thru wasn't busy so I drove back thru and let them know. There was no problem getting my missing food. However, if it had been a busy time, I world not have had time to do that and it works have been a problem.“

“For being just a Walmart McDonald’s I will tell you it’s the best McDonald’s I’ve ever been too. The staff is always friendly even though they are always packed. I honestly feel like it’s the busiest McDonald’s in Austin but they always have smiles on their faces and most important I’ve ordered from here more times than I can count since moving to Austin from Uber Eats or just grabbing food after grocery shopping and they have never messed up my order. I appreciate everyone that works there“

“THE BEST run Mcdonalds ever. The staff is bilingual and very friendly. They are constantly cleaning l, working and laughing. It is a great environment, especially for fast food. They bathrooms are always clean as well as tables floors and even the parking lot gets sprayed down.“

“This McDonald’s has been our go-to for years. We’ve lived in the area for 22 years, so that should tell you how often we come here! There is always a Hispanic lady who greets us so kindly and is genuinely happy to see us every time. We absolutely love her!

This evening, we saw that the Grinch meal was sold out due to high demand. I asked if they at least had a packet of the Grinch salt, and she went out of her way to check. She came back with a small bag of the salt for my child, which we truly appreciated. I hope management knows they have a true gem , her customer service skills are AMAZING.

What happened next, however, was disappointing. I believe her manager noticed what she did for us and said something to her about how they were out of the items and shouldn’t be giving any out. While I can’t be 100% sure she was being lectured, her facial expression and the way she looked at me and said “It’s okay” made it very clear she felt uncomfortable and I felt terrible that she risked getting in trouble just to make my child happy.

As someone who also works in hospitality management, I would never discipline or correct a team member in front of guests or customers. It’s unprofessional, uncomfortable for everyone involved, and completely inappropriate. These conversations should always happen privately, not during active guest service.“

“This location is quick on food orders at the counter and drive thru but very slow in pick up orders and app orders. Also they don't participate in free fry Fridays. Staff is nice and bathrooms stay pretty clean. Its super hot at this location and due to high homeless population i wouldn't bring kids here. They will ask you for food or money. I am okay with that but not everyone is and it's super hot right now.“

Food took just a bit too so I pulled off to wait patiently because food takes a time to cook.

When they brought it they had a whole tray of condiments ready.

“Almost always, it's faster/easier to walk in to get an order than using the drive through. Not at this location on this morning, even when using the DIY kiosk to order.

Food was up to standards, but the time to do a simple breakfast order for 1 person seemed excessively long, as there was only 1 other customer inside before me.“

“Ordered a quarter pounder but the patty was really thin , so disappointed. I've been eating a quarter pounder forever & since Covid nothing had been the same anywhere. We are to expect less pay more. I will check my order before driving away from now on“

“Well.... I must say the service is a bit slow when it comes to ordering. However, they will give you your order in a hurry and quickly close the window without a word. Be sure to check your order before leaving the drive thru because half the time there's something missing. When doing mobile ordering, you don't get the exact amount of condiments you ask for specifically either. For example, I asked for 8 ketchups, 2 butters and 2 jellys. What I got was 3 ketchups, 6 butters, 2 jellys and 1 hotcake syrup..... I didn't even have hotcakes. Now I must say also that in their defense, the area doesn't seem very safe to be honest as there are a lot of homeless around who sleep not far from the drive thru window. It is a bit scary because at times they do try to hit you up for money or food as soon as you leave if your window is rolled down (which is becoming more common around fast food places in Austin I've noticed). I have have learned not to go without my dog. Otherwise, the staff there seem like they would be friendly if they would perhaps communicate. :)“

“They always have what I like.. This is the only mcdonalds that is never out of what i want AND I have never been told their ice cream machine is out of order... When has that ever happened in the history of the world?!? *mind blown * plus the employees are always really nice and quick“

“We asked for a number 5 (chicken strips) and the person put chicken nuggets (No.7), we made sure they gave us No.5, they changed the nuggets to strips, and we still got nuggets. They did come back with our extra bag, and in there, there were chicken strips! We just won extra food due to lack of attention.“

“This place is okay, as far as the service goes. The food is great of course because it is McDonald's. The service needs work as far as being nice. Not very helpful with people. Ask questions and get the no or I do not know attitude. Being blind I can not see prices, but asking the lady at the counter, her answers were it is 2 something or 3 something. “Really was unexpected, but the McDonald’s was great man. They had combos that tasted good. The food was cooked good the fries were even very tasteful. “I wish I could have gotten the their names but I stopped by after a 5 mile walk, I know I know…but I wanted to use all of my points before the new year bc I’m cutting out McDonald’s. Anywho, I was kind of annoying bc I ordered with points, every fifteen minutes. The way the staff took care of me, I was so shocked. They went above and beyond for me. I had to make a review. “Excellent place. The staff is very welcoming, friendly, caring, going the extra mile to help. Example is Keyla, always positive and very active (with customers orders and keeping the place clean), or Wimer, very polite and caring. Orders are prompt and accurate. The place is very clean and not crowded.

“Other than the dining area being a bit dirty, food was tasty, and staff was friendly. Please cancel the alarms for fries or other devices in a timely manner! It is very annoying to be sitting in the dining area and having to listen to an alarm not being reset for a long time.“

“I went to McDonald's with my grandson for lunch. It was our oast visit together before he returned home for the start of school. The lunch was at both of our favorite restaurant chain. I went to the women's bathroom and wanted to go somewhere else immediately! There was only one stall working. It smelled like a sewer and the seat of the toilet looked broken and it was dirty! The toilet paper dispenser way too close to the dirty floor, meaning germs transfer. But there was lots of soap and water, but the sink did look a bit grimey. I pointed the situation out to two employees and pointed at children who happen to be in the restaurant at the time and stated that I would never want my kids to have to use such a disgusting toilet and then they would touch their food. It makes me wonder where the employees go to use the facilities and if it's in the same condition. Because of the bathroom situation, I will not sit and eat inside ever again or be returning any time soon.

Kid-friendliness: There is an enclosed playground area that the kids can play in, and no one can enter from outside restaurant. The playground area is visible from any table inside the restaurant.“

“I love this location every time I come here jal Always working hard always have fresh food when I'm here and even if he's having a good day or a bad day, he's always smiling. I would recommend this McDonald’s. They always busy but the line move really fast his team work together and get the job done“

“I’ve been going to this McDonald’s infrequently for many years, always for coffee, but occasionally for a quarter pounder, this time for coffee.

There are two drive-through lanes and 16 parking spots for pickup and delivery services.
This leaves parking for dine-in customers in the back.

The serivice for dine-in customers reflects the parking for dine-in customers. While I stood at the register ready to order, I watched 4 employees, including the manager in social interaction, interrupted by occasional work. Another employee seemed to have been assigned the task of waiting on the dine-in customers.

My order came up pretty quick (how hard is coffee).

The seating in the front faces east and in the dinning room the windows face north. This would be a good place for a quiet start to the day, except for the piped-in music and the TV in the dinning room.

I noticed that there were no homeless in the store.

All of the employees seem to speak Spanish, and most seem equally proficient in English.

There is no beverage bar.“
