The crispy chicken tacos were cooked to perfection! The batter was perfect! The deserts were amazing! The bread pudding was the best I’ve ever had! The banana pudding was fantastic! Tracy, the sweet lady, that waited on us was amazing at her job! We had a fabulous experience. I recommend anyone ,from around here or just traveling through, to not pass up on the opportunity to visit the Bayou Bistro!!!’“

The food at Coop’s is absolutely delicious. Fall off the bone ribs, super tender brisket, great side , and the best banana pudding I have ever tasted. But, it drew a decent crowd of bikers during the rally for being several miles away from the main action.We wanted to ride a little away from the masses, so it filled the bill. Kudos to their parking attendants, they really controlled the lot.There was no food served by Woodys, but there was a food truck there. I think they should've offered a few portapotties the mens room was often overwhelmed. I heard many of the ladies comment upon seeing the long line of men waiting for the restroom. Most said the world is upside down here.“

“A family run place a little away from the touristy parts of Galveston that serves excellent pho.

The house pho was very good. Fresh, piping hot, with good portions of all kinds of meat, in just the right kind of broth. Call it comfort food, or just plain filling, it ticks all the right boxes. We also ordered a plate of fried rice, which too was good, though not exceptional.

Service was fast and friendly in a South East Asian kind of way, which is to say don't expect much of a conversion, but you will get what you need with minimum fuss.

Prices are reasonable. The location is a bit of the grittier side of town, so the place closes at 8 pm with last order at 7.30pm. The inside is clean and bright.“
