“I'm in Beaumont a few times a year. I ALWAYS stop at Floyds when I am there. Honestly, it is the best thing that Beaumont TX. has going for it. My meal always includes their wonderful crab bisque and I usually have a fish steak- Tuna, Sword, etc blackened with the veggie side. They just do this so well. Every meal- and I have had quite a few over the last 12 years of going there, has been awesome! I recommend Floyds to all of my friends that come into TX. via I-10.“

I will say hands-down every time I go in there I’m always graded right away by everybody you know and you can tell when you walk into this place. They really take pride in what they do. They take pride in their food and the way they present it to the customers, and they take pride in their customers and make sure that everything is just the way they asked for it to be. Their food is cooked to perfection. The employees are very nice. They have an excellent management team there as well as owner and I highly recommend the place to anybody. I think by far they are the best in the state of Texas and anywhere around this world you will not find a better place than here. I can guarantee you that. When you walk in here and you order your meal and you eat it, I’m gonna guarantee you. You will walk out completely full and you’ll wanna come back again and again and again so if you have not been here or say you’re just visiting the area I highly recommend walking in because you will not be disappointed“

“I haven't had eggs Benedict in about 12 years so I was scouring the area. I found this gem of a place. We went during brunch. Everyone's food was phenomenal and I only regret not having more stomach to try more. The bartender was very helpful and an all around cool guy. It was a pleasure finding this place and we will be going here many more times in the future....starting tomorrow....I have a date with a large portion of biscuits and gravy!“

“We were in Beaumont for a night and decided on this place for dinner. The map took us to Sweet Basil through some backstreets and for a moment we were concerned about where we were going. But then we emerged into a regular shopping center and we breathed again.

The place, it being a Thursday night, was pretty empty - only about 8 or 10 people in a place for about 50ish seats. We were also a bit early, about 7pm. The waiter hands us the menu, we take out time and then choose a plate of sweet bahn bao (those little fluffy breads filled with meats and veggies) with marinated pork and a plate of hot mess fries. They were both sooooo good. After we were done with the starters we ordered a sweet basil special fried rice to share. The plate was huge and, again, very flavorful.

By the time we finished, more people had started coming in. Later, we told some other local people about the place and they who said that this was one of their favorite restaurants in town.

Our check for the two of us, with tips, totaled just above $50.“

“We went with our friends Kenny & Dena to eat at Charlie’s Bar-B-Que & Catering this afternoon in Beaumont. It is some of the best BBQ around. While eating we seen a picture of Charlie and Aaron Franklin standing together under a tent. Charlie’s wife came over to ask how our food was and I asked her about the picture, she proceeded to tell us how they received an invited to cook at Aaron Franklin’s BBQ cook off in Austin, she was so nice. After we finished our meal Charlie came out to check on something, and we stopped him and started talking with him about how he Smokes his meat, type of wood he uses….etc, he was such a super nice friendly guy to talk and visit with. I would highly recommend if your hungry for some BBQ, or need an event catered, to give them a try. Their BBQ is delicious. Oh, I almost forgot, then we went to DQ in Nederland for some ice cream to complete our evening of festivities……..LOL 😂“

“Went yesterday around 6 PM. Our server was amazing and the food was so so good. I got a steak that was Parmesan crusted with the brussels sprouts and the grilled shrimp. I highly recommend the brussels sprouts and getting your steak Parmesan crusted for the appetizer we got spicy chicken bites and the stuffed mushrooms. I love the chicken bites. They were amazing and the sauce was so good. The stuffed mushrooms were a little bit too much for me. But they were amazing regardless. Wonderful night highly recommend“

“Not only is this one of the few remaining Lubys in Texas it also has a drive-thru.

I ordered the cheese and bacon chopped steak combo meal. It comes with two sides and a roll. I also ordered a slice of the classic chocolate icebox pie. It was less than $18 and everything was absolutely delicious.

The young man who waited on me through the drive-thru was very helpful and they got my order out to me quickly“

We had been swimming all morning so we were hungry, so we got a variety of things to try... I can tell you that everything we tried was amazing! The jumbo fried popcorn shrimp were succulent and had a delicious, crunchy coating that was different from others I've had. The fish was fresh and perfectly fried. The boudain balls were nice-sized and delicious as well. I'm STILL thinking about their gumbo though! The roux was super tasty and had plenty of chicken, sausage and shrimp. It was devine!“

Our server (woman with short blonde hair and black shirt) did a fantastic job of checking in on us and was so nice with any questions we had!
