“Amazing experience and food, one of the best I've ever had. The only drawback is the crazy prices, you will spend $350+ per person if you purchase the drink pairing. However, even though we spent close to $800USD as a couple, I don't regret it, amazing experience.”

“First time customer. Tonight I tried the costilla de puerco (pork ribs). About the sauce: ribs were cooked in a rich verde sauce, mild heat, mildly sour, but pleasant, tangy, not acidic. The fat from the fall-off-the bone ribs and slight caramelization of the meat gave everything just the right consistency and taste. The rice was better than most places (soft but not mushy). The beans and tortillas rounded it all out. Normally I don't fill up on all the tortillas but I used all of it to clean the plate.”

“Okay hear me out: this was THE BEST chicken fried chicken I have ever had. The breading and flavor was the best I have tasted. It brought tears to my eyes because it was so incredible And I’ve had my fair share of chicken fried chicken platters. The green beans are flavored to perfection. THE CORNBREAD!! It was somehow melt-in-your-mouth fluffy but packed the flavor of a dense cornbread muffin. We left satisfied, comforted, and knowing good and well that we’ll be back.”

“Food and service was great. That being said the prices still didn't quiet match. $13 for cup of soup of the day is excessive. Great soup but not $13 soup.Chicken club was nothing special. Brisket tacos were excellent. The pineapple Pico brought a tang that was a pleasant surprise. I worked at the Hyatt over 15yrs ago and I was very happy to know the brisket is still smoked to the same perfection. We got the wings with sauce on the side(great great grandma can't handle the heat) and I found the Buffalo cream sauce was light and tangy with a heat that still allowed you to enjoy the flavor of the sauce. I had the Wagyu burger and added bacon because bacon. It was great. The sauce compliments the beef and was applied with care as not to make a goopy dripping mess. We were celebrating my birthday and we got a piece cheese cake. They beautifully wrote happy birthday on the plate. No candle no singing (thank goodness) but it tasted amazing. Thick with a smooth creaminess without being heavy. The crust flavourful letting the creamy texture shine. Not a crumbling or soggy mess, just right.Overall the food was amazing but the bill was heavy even after having a couple of their great drinks. The one thing that I felt was missing on their menu was loaded nachos. In general there was no shareable food. It's like the made it for only singles. This can be a deal breaker for many people and I feel they may have shot themselves in the foot. Full and half order nachos would be a great addition. A family resort without a family option on their menu. I know they host conferences, but what better way to bring people together and strengthen bonds then to share a meal together.”

“Better than we expected. We've been to all the local Mexican and Tex-Mex, so wanted something different. The desayuno (breakfast) platter that came out looked even better than the picture on the menu. Food was fresh, not oily, except for the fried plantains (but the plantains were really good). The refried beans were really good. The tortilla was more like a fluffy flat bread. We liked the filling in the papusas and the shredded cabbage/radish.”

“Finally, a good Tex-Mex restaurant near Bastrop, TX. This took a year to find. Home made corn tortillas, food is delicious, beans are delicious. Salsa is fantastic, all around great food service is top notch, needless to say. food prices are normal ( not Austin $6 a taco ) and it isn't a food truck, where you are eating in your car. Coffee is a 6/10, for comparison. Starbucks coffee being a 1/10 on my grading scale. Their coffee is tolerable. We will be back every weekend.”
