“Clean, western style dining. I love the spool tables. The staff were very attentive. They were sadly out of chicken and turkey and the chef came out with his apologies. The brisket sliced and chopped was so tender. The sausage and sides were really good. I love that the plate came with jalapeños. I'm a fan of the green beans and the beans were excellent. My husband loved the baked potato salad. There is a fee for using credit just as a warning. We were prepared with cash.“

“Unique pink house in kind of residential area. Friendly staff, but their soda machine was out of commission, so they couldn't even give us water, had to buy their bottled water. Thai curry place, with good meats. Everything was just a tad spicy (on par with Thai curries). Our party are not fan of this place, but I personally enjoyed the bowls.“

“They came by our apts today, super nice, food was seriously on point.. we caught them as they were gonna get ready to head out and we’re blessed with xtra rice,beans, and Mac.. Customer service goes a long way and they def got that covered.. 3rs Fri of the mnth you can find em at the Wal Mart parking lot off De Zavala and I-10.. Prices are very reasonable and def fair for the quality your getting..Thank you guys for making our Fri night dinner an awesome one“

It was my gf and my first time visiting each last Sunday, 4/7, and we weren’t disappointed!Great customer service from the 2 guys working the truck, friendly & courteous. ☺️ I got the medium nachos with half pulled pork, half brisket, and it came with pico de gallo & queso (skipped the jalapeños)— great portioning and super delicious! I don’t really taste that the queso was “smoked” as they call it, but really good! ? “I stopped in for a quick lunch by myself and decided to sit in instead of takeout. Simple Korean lunch of kalbi ribs, and banchan for 20 bucks?! You simply can’t go wrong with this place. All the banchan dishes were phenomenal and the beef was tender and tasty. Definitely coming back.“

“Had never tried this place even though I've lived within walking distance. Decided to give it a go and it was amazing. The service was awesome, very friendly staff and food was ready so quick! Ordered a few different meats and sides and almost every single item was fantastic. The green beans could've used a little more seasoning but everything else was so good. Jalapeño sausage was absolutely incredible, pulled pork was so good, mac and cheese was great and the fries were amazing. The environment and ambiance was actually very relaxed and comfortable. The price was very good for the amount of food there was on the plate. Would absolutely eat here again!“

“I was born and raised on the west side of San Antonio. The place my father always went to closed down years ago and I have never found a better place until three years ago when I found this amazing little place. I used to live 3 blocks from here and stumbled on it my husband said let see what this little place is about. Like small in size big in flavor and service. These people are so kind welcoming and they have the best Barbacoa in the city hands down! I moved a few months ago out of the city limits but on Sundays I’m driving into town for this good! “29 Dec 2023 This used to be called the St. Joseph's Society Hall or something close. We had our 25th wedding anniversary at this venue. That was 20 years ago. They still do events in the hall area. Now it's touted as Southtown Joe's, a cute little bar with pool tables, darts, electronic games and several TVs to watch sports. Our bartender Sondra was great. Personable, on point. There is karaoke Fridays at 8pm. Got off on a late start today, though. Oh well. It turned out OK. Go there.“

I have to say after not having L&L in so long it was such a treat to eat here again specially this location. The service was full of aloha and Kat was such a great part of our experience. I also loved the vibe and the decor inside made me feel like I was back home, local music playing and the delicious smells in the air. Both my friend and I decided we will be going back to try their BBQ as soon as possible. This is a family owned and operated small business where the entire staff is very friendly, courteous and accommodating. They are located in Adkins, a suburb of San Antonio. It was well worth the trip. “The spot is in a rough looking neighbourhood but the moment we pulled up on the parking on the front a friendly apron wearing man(aka the cook) greeted us, explaining the options we had to order. We ordered the brisket, chicken, ribs and various sides. The brisket was TOP TIER, moist and tender, the chicken juicy and falling off the bone? 10/10, the loaded potatoes were also incredible. Highly recommend the spot but just as a heads up it only has like 2 tables so dining in, although it is an option, is not what the spot is made for. Takeaway, of course, is the way to go (that’s what we did). “I had the 1 meat plate with smoked turkey, spicy creamed corn, and potato salad. The turkey was ok - a little dry. The potato salad was a loaded baked potato in a cup. My husband had the 2 meat plate with sausage and marbled brisket along with okra and potato salad. The sausage was good. The brisket was tender.“

I understand that it's quite busy on Sunday mornings. The service at the window was friendly and fast. I bought some barbacoa and tamales. The barbacoa was good but like most of the barbacoa I found lately, it doesn't quite hit the mark. Most of the barbacoa on the west side of town has an authentic flavor that's becoming increasingly hard to find. Don't get me wrong, this barbacoa is good and tasty, very "clean" and makes a great taco, but it just doesn't have the taste I look for. The tamales... it's getting harder to find good FULL tamales anymore. I tried them here and was disappointed. I would say that if it's not too far of a drive for you, try this place out and see what you think. It's definitely not bad, but it's not that authentic taste that I like.?“
