“Welcome home. If I could title my review, that would be it. From the moment I stepped through the door, the (cute!) young man behind the counter made me feel like he had been waiting for me all day. I have anxiety, but it melted away with his charm. The mac and cheese wasn’t ready when I got there, so I was given two choices: they’d replace it with any side, or I could wait and they would make it fresh. Who doesn’t like fresh food? I was entertained while I waited, and the time flew by. Food was hot and fresh. Service was above and beyond. It was my first time in Grand Prairie, but I hope to be back ASAP — only partially for the eye candy!“

I have tried the brisket, pulled pork, chicken, turkey, ribs, mac and cheese, other side dishes, and soups. I have never been disappointed. JR is one of the friendliest, generous, and community- oriented individuals you would ever meet. I have had the opportunity to see his operation from the fire pits in the back, kitchen, and have always been highly impressed with the cleanliness of his facility. That speaks volumes to the importance of not just quality taste, flavor blending of smoke wood meats, but to the importance of food safety. “On Tuesday my sister and I made our way through the greater Dallas area and planned to stop and eat at Hurtado’s Arlington location. My brother in law and husband came here earlier in the year and have raved about it ever since. My plan was to bring anything leftover back home for the husband. We get in line, which moved rapidly, and I immediately ask about honey and pineapple usage on any of the food. I was told only the gold sauce had honey and they could just leave it off. Perfect! Without me asking the server immediately told the kitchen switch gloves, switch knives and anything else you can. I greatly appreciated the extra care and concern. We head to check out. The cashier hadn’t even handed me my receipt yet when the server walks up and says “so…there’s a honey glaze on everything except the brisket and burnt ends. And everything is cooked on the same grates.” Bummer! I’m not willing to put my life on the line to eat bbq. Toby and Wendy tried so hard to figure out alternatives or anything else they could possibly do, but in the end they just refunded the order. But I didn’t leave empty handed and the hubby was ecstatic to get some Hurtado’s brought home. I just want to give a huge thanks to everyone at Hurtado’s Arlington location, especially Toby and Wendy, for not only caring but going out of their way to try to fix it. It was very much appreciated, especially when so many other restaurants just shrug their shoulders and say “I don’t think so.” When I ask about my allergens. It meant a lot that you guys cared enough about your customer to not put them in danger. I can’t personally attest to the bbq but I can say that cabbage slaw is AMAZING and the corn is fabulous! My family said the bbq was excellent even reheated the next day. In the words of my 16 yr old, “It’s so good it almost brings a tear to your eye.” And that’s coming from a family of bbq snobs who compete in competitions and do bbq pop ups of their own. “I 100% recommend this restaurant, mainly because of the friendly people who work there. I especially want to recognize Mike Quinney who helped us with a gift card issue. I hope the owner Chris Carol sees this so he can understand what an asset he has in Mike Quinney. He helped me and my mother above and beyond and I want everyone to know what a great store partner he is. The food is delicious also and it’s been a go too since I was very young.“

“Dare I say that this spot rivals LSA Burger in terms of taste, and LSA has some of the best burgers I've ever had.

I ordered 2 sliders for $14, the Main Street and the Rail Sliders. Maria, the chef, cooked the beef to absolute perfection, medium rare, amazingly juicy patties, perfectly complimented with each ingredient. The Main Street used a slight bit of mustard with fried onion strings (basically small strings of onion rings), with cheddar, to create an almost sweet, rich slider. The Rail used cooked onion strings instead, with barbecue sauce and gouda cheese. This made for a much richer, deeply savory slider, one you'll definitely want to eat slowly.

I can't stress enough how well every component was cooked as well as how the all go together to create flavors that are so elegant. I'll definitely be returning. I will say that they are so decadent that you'll probably wish that the slider was a full sized burger instead. Hopefully one day!

“Turning Point is one of our favorite breweries in the DFW area and we make it a point to to stop in anytime we are in the area visiting family. Having visited breweries across the US, one thing that is usually lacking in quality 99% of the time is food. I am not sure how long Godspeed has been serving up their delicious BBQ at Turning Point but the brewery should do everything they can to retain them. Godspeed has some of THE BEST brisket I have ever had in my life. It was melt in your mouth good and the bark was perfection. They have bbq sauce available but this is one of those times you should let the meat speak for itself and savor the flavor of it on its own before you douse it in sauce. I promise you will thank me later for this. Also, the beans were FANTASTIC!!! I can understand if y’all don’t want to share the recipe but they were some of the best beans I have ever had! “I spent a good chunk of time walking the outfield concourse, hoping to find something sweet or savory with a shorter line. Nothing really stood out, until I turned the corner and spotted the Sweet Baby Ray’s sign.

Having to update from my 5 star this food has went down hill fast the good looking picture is from when they first remodeled it. Food has been very inconsistent. Food was great when it first open. Went from great looking food to always dried out and under seasoned food. Mac and cheese is sticky and dry. Meat is completely dried out most of the time also. The good picture is how it looked before now it's just crap food again like it was before. Some day the cornbread is great other days it's hard. Same thing with the potatoes some day they are nice crispy on outside and seasoned well but it just seems like they just mash a potato and serve it to you“

“I was starving when I landed here today so I was already looking up the food places in the airport before we even landed. I almost settled for Subway but instead came to Counsin’s. People always rave about Texas BBQ and every time I’ve had Texas BBQ it was horrible BUTTTTT y’all got the cheat code. Everything was delicious from the pulled pork, to the potatoe salad, and the collard greens. The greens were good and spicy just how I like them 😋“
