“Amazing renovation results and Parlor is the social gem of it all. Unlike every other hotel bar / lounge I’ve been in.. It’s a great place for locals ( not just out of town guests staying here ).“

“We walked in to pick up a to go order and were warmly greeted. The server was kind to share some of the restaurant history and asked for a review, which as business owners, we like to oblige and want to help other businesses. He threw in a mango lassi with our order, which was not expected and SO delicious. All of our food was AMAZING and enough to have for lunch the next day. We ordered garlic naan, Gobi 65, Malabar with beef and veggies, chicken and lamb biryani.“

“I loved this restaurant when I first ate here 28 years ago. I moved away but was in Dallas last night so I made a reservation and it was even more amazing than I remembered. The service was impeccable. Our waiter Charlie was amazing and recommended the best wine pairings but the food… ah the food…. Let’s just say if I ever have a “last meal” I would want it to be this. I got the champagne Brie soup, the Filet Rossini and flourless chocolate cake. Each bite was perfection. Seriously, one of the best meals of my life. Hope it doesn’t take another 28 years to return. Superb!“

“I always come here since like 2 years ago and the vibes are always chill. I enjoy the prices and the crowd that goes is older which I prefer. You don't really see people sloppy here or starting fights or anything everyone minds their own business and doesn't really cause problems. You see a lot of regulars here and you can shoot some pool with friends. They also have slot machines and darts. I really come here because of the crowd.“

The wings were average. Normal bar wings, not anything special, overpriced a few dollars.
The po'boy however was an absolute delight. Crisp, fresh, well seasoned and slathered.

“I was in town with friends for a weekend. We were in town from St Pete, Florida where we have 60-80+ Kava Bars. We found The Kava Bar - North Dallas & The Kava Bar - Oak Cliff. They both were a really good time, excellent product, really clean, super friendly staff, and cool customers. Hope to make it back soon!“

“Been here a few times now over the last couple months. Mostly around lunch but a couple times in the evenings. Service has always been great and drinks have been good. Dylan and Eric(?) have been our bartenders and they are awesome. The food is damn good for the space and area. It kind of feels like your above average neighborhood bar on weekdays which is amazing for anyone seeking an inclusive and relaxed atmosphere.

We also attended for their thanksgiving meal which was made in house and VERY good. A great offering and as our first year without family nearby, it was a welcoming experience.“

“If you are looking for a very casual neighborhood dive bar that hosts some of the city's most talented electronic music DJ's, look no further! Charlie's is one of the friendliest places in town. Every night is something different, so be sure to check out their schedule. Sunday's are greatness as 2 of my favorite event happen that day. Dont miss Reprecussions for a night of fantastic DNB and Struttin for very dancey house. Drinks are very well priced and always mixed to perfection. They always have something delicious in the frozen drink machine which is bliss on these hot Texas nights. Also good to note that it is a very comfortable place if you are a female flying solo. The patrons are largely from the large rave community anx if you dont know anyone you will before you go home! I would highly reccomend this little hidden gem to anyone looking for a great place to hang and or dance with your friends!“

It still feels like a historic estate but with contemporary comfort. The grounds are well-kept and impressive, and my room was comfortable and stylish. The bar was a highlight, serving great drinks—the margarita was a standout. The restaurant delivered solid food with a good wine selection to match. Service was top-notch, from the valet to the staff, everyone was friendly and attentive. I’d highly recommend this place for a memorable stay in Dallas.“
