Looking for a new restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, my wife made a reservation at this gem in Denton and we were not disappointed. Our table was laid out with rose petals to celebrate the occasion and the staff wished us a Happy Anniversary. The menu had a multitude of items that sounded mouth-watering, so the decision making process was tortuous. We settled on bacon wrapped dates and steamed mussels as appetizers. The dates were moist and the bacon crispy, a perfect bite of sweet and salty. The mussels were perfectly steamed with a delicious broth and the perfect crispy, warm French bread to sop it up. A great start. My wife ordered Beef Cheek stuffed Ravioli, remembering how much she loved the beef cheeks we first ate in Spain. Ground meat in the ravioli topped with a perfect ragu of tomatoes, beef cheek, and vegetables. I am drawn to duck whenever I see it on the menu and the Rosemary smoked Duck Breast was cooked to perfection; crispy skin, juicy meat, and a sun dried cherry pico tart enough to complement its maple syrup glaze. The sliced duck breast was served atop a wild rice and vegetable pancake that was unique and perhaps the star of the dish. Come on, who wouldn’t love pancakes for dinner? A couple glasses of wine with dinner, a slice of award winning carrot cake for desert with an espresso, and exquisite service all evening long made for an ideal anniversary celebration. Thank you to the kitchen staff and everyone in the front of the house and remember to save us a table on Saturday nights. See you soon.”

Sophie was very attentive and personable and didn’t mind my 6yo talking too much, which is always a plus when people have patience for the youngest of the younger crowd! Between the atmosphere (even the bathrooms smelled nice and were super clean!), the wonderful staff, and the delicious burgers, we would love to come back! As my youngest said: “I give this place a ten out of ten stars!””

Since COVID, restaurant service has really gone downhill in so many places, but Bryson at the Cracker Barrel in Denton completely changed my outlook. They have a pretty decent offering for drinks(boba tea, milk tea, smoothies for those of us that like fruit in our boba they have the option for freezedried blueberry and dragon fruit) and my food was ready quickly.”

“We have been meaning to try this place for awhile but just weren’t sure. Wow! I’m so glad we did! Everything was sooooooo good. And I do mean everything, from the wings to the whole chicken to the sides (we tried four sides and four sauces) right down to the picked radishes. The wings are thick and juicy and the crispy coating on the honey garlic wings is amazing…literally the best wings I’ve ever had. Even my brother (who hates everything) ate a whole plate and said how good it was. The staff/owners were so friendly when we went to pick up. We will definitely be returning! If you haven’t tried it yet, that is your loss! I wish I would have taken pics but we ate it all so fast, we only would have pics of empty boxes.”

“Love this place! My partner and I stop by almost every week because it's so good! The food is on point every time, and I would argue it's better than Layalina. Their wraps are simple but delectable. Quality is always consistent too--the falafel is never dry (always nice and crisp on the outside and the perfect consistency on the inside). They also make great baklava! We really like the staff and have met the owner--all very friendly and kind people.”
