“This place is a staple among my friends. The atmosphere is fantastic with dim lights, quiet music, and plenty of seating. The food is delicious, there’s not a thing that I’ve tried that I haven’t liked. Their wine menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. Their selection of cake is a must try. My favorite is the Boston Cream Cake. The service is wonderful, and their bar/kitchen staff are attentive and kind.“

“do not get the pizza. The crust is so hard it could possibly break your teeth used to have the best crust in town but something happened crust is too dense, not fluffy and crisp. The way it used to be.“

“Dining at Aki Sushi. I had a fantastic experience at Aki Sushi with my wife. We started with steamed dumplings, which were delightful. My wife had the tonkatsu ramen, a dish bursting with fresh flavors, along with the melt-in-your-mouth wagyu sashimi. I tried the smoked brisket ramen, a unique and delicious dish, and unagi with foie gras sushi wow !!! is all I have to say about that one. We also enjoyed a salmon skin roll, one of my favorites. The service was outstanding, with attentive staff ensuring a memorable meal. Aki Sushi stands out with their fresh wasabi ground tableside and fresh, never-frozen bluefin tuna. Highly recommend for anyone who loves sushi and ramen!“

“My husband is working here in Texas and we came by 2/17/26 for supper and it was amazing. The steak was great, the brisket was way better than our bbq place back home and the ribs were great. The BBQ sauce was to die for. I had ordered the sausage but then was told it was sold out which was okay because we came around 9pm. We tried all the things that diners drive in and dives tried. Let’s just say if my husband comes back to this part of Texas we will be back ohhh and let’s not forget the armadillo eggs those things was amazing my husband have talked about how good they were all night and day. The Gumbo is fantastic and the chicken and the pecan praline waffle is out of this world!! You definitely will not be disappointed with anything!! “Had my Moms 70th birthday lunch here this past Sunday, and reserved the private room at the recommendation of a server. Room fee was reasonable and had a great view. Our server was Michaela; she was attentive, knowledgeable, honest and friendly. She served our group well of 8 adults 5 kids; helped us cut and serve an outside cake that we brought, offered to take a pic for us, and provided prompt and attentive service. I ordered the Gulf red snapper along with the fried alligator and kept it simple with a couple of bottled waters. The snapper was fresh and cooked just right flavorful, tender, and definitely the standout of the meal. The fried alligator was a fun addition too, crispy on the outside and nicely seasoned. The spicy tonkotsu ramen was flavorful, the pork was so tender and the crispy brussel sprouts were amazing! Our server Cal was top notch! I have no idea how I’ve never heard of this place, but it will be on repeat for sure!“

“Me and my wife were craving noodles, so we searched on Google Maps and found Pei Wei right next to us. I opened their website to order, and when it asked to use my location, I clicked yes. We placed the order and drove there… only to find out I accidentally ordered from the Houston (Northwest Plaza) location.

I met Zachary, who I think is the assistant manager, and honestly he’s one of the best people I’ve dealt with in any restaurant. He told me to call the other location and request a refund. I called, but the cashier said she didn’t have the privileges to do a refund. So I just made a new order in the store and accepted the loss.

When Zachary asked me again and I told him they refused the refund, he was shocked. He immediately reached out to his manager, and the next day I got a call from the Northwest Plaza location — and they refunded my order. That alone tells you the level of care and professionalism this guy has. I’ve eaten in restaurants all over the world, and I can say this is one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Zachary deserves recognition, and I’m sure he’ll be a great manager in the future.
