“My husband is working here in Texas and we came by 2/17/26 for supper and it was amazing. The steak was great, the brisket was way better than our bbq place back home and the ribs were great. The BBQ sauce was to die for. I had ordered the sausage but then was told it was sold out which was okay because we came around 9pm. We tried all the things that diners drive in and dives tried. Let’s just say if my husband comes back to this part of Texas we will be back ohhh and let’s not forget the armadillo eggs those things was amazing my husband have talked about how good they were all night and day. “What can I say!! This is one of the best restaurants we have eaten at in a while! It is a little hidden gem!! Everything has such great flavor !! The Gumbo is fantastic and the chicken and the pecan praline waffle is out of this world!! You definitely will not be disappointed with anything!! And to top it all off the food is Hot made to order and worth the wait!! Definitely will be going back to try some other things!! Our table also had the shrimp and grits and they were very tasty!! “Had my Moms 70th birthday lunch here this past Sunday, and reserved the private room at the recommendation of a server. Room fee was reasonable and had a great view. Our server was Michaela; she was attentive, knowledgeable, honest and friendly. She served our group well of 8 adults 5 kids; helped us cut and serve an outside cake that we brought, offered to take a pic for us, and provided prompt and attentive service. Food was delish too, and the GM even stopped in a few times to make sure things were going well. Thank you, Marais, for knocking it out of the park, we will be back.“

I ordered the Gulf red snapper along with the fried alligator and kept it simple with a couple of bottled waters. The snapper was fresh and cooked just right flavorful, tender, and definitely the standout of the meal. The fried alligator was a fun addition too, crispy on the outside and nicely seasoned. Service was friendly and attentive, and everything came out in a reasonable time. It felt like a place that cares about both the food and the customer experience. Overall, I would recommend Tookie’s Seafood if you’re looking for fresh, well prepared seafood in a laid back setting. I would definitely come back.“

“This place is a staple among my friends. The atmosphere is fantastic with dim lights, quiet music, and plenty of seating. The food is delicious, there’s not a thing that I’ve tried that I haven’t liked. Their wine menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. Their selection of cake is a must try. My favorite is the Boston Cream Cake. The service is wonderful, and their bar/kitchen staff are attentive and kind.“

We had to wait quite a while for our server, Amy, and they weren't extremely busy. A manager did come to check on us & went out of her way to find my sister a bottle of Coca-Cola :) Gift shop prices are outrageous, but it's a fun place with nice scenic views!“

“OMG! This place is s solid 5! It's small, tucked away off the beaten path, but this is a MUST do for dinner. They close at 7, so go early! You will not be disappointed. The prices are incredibly reasonable considering the amount and quality of food you get! The meat was cooked to perfection... probably the best steaks we have had in a long time! Brisket and turkey were fall-apart tender! The sides were delish... total comfort food!“

“We live in Austin, but every time we visit Bacliff we go to Noah's ark even 3 times a day during our weekend, their breakfast is very good, but what I love the most is their seafood menu. The grill oysters are amazing, the tuna tostada, and fish plates are our favorites. Second floor I believe is the smokers area, so we always eat in the first floor, or outside it's awesome as well. The workers are very nice as well.“

We ordered drinks and at bar and then got a table outside to order food, and the waitress refused to serve us, stating TABC rules, but we weren’t ordering drinks from her, we are really good customers and tip really well. I’ve never had that happen and have always had good service there. Maybe a new inexperienced waitress, worried we weren’t going to tip her? Or maybe I didn’t know you couldn’t a have drink tab at the bar and order food at a table separately? I’ve worked, waitressed , in the food industry so this was new to me.“

“We only had crawfish so can't speak to the full menu since they've modernized. Crawfish were good but overpriced relative to the previous week. About $8 a pound including a potato and corn. Last time I was there a few weeks ago it was $6 a pound. Meanwhile wholesale crawfish prices fell.

“The menu is quite large with so much variety. Their house salad dressing is really delicious and if you choose the pasta Alfredo as your side you won’t believe how big the portion is. My husband got the stuffed red fish and for the first time ever couldn’t eat it all. I recommend sharing an entree so you can save room for dessert which I hear the bread pudding is delicious. I just didn’t have room“

“Pelican is seriously one of those rare breakfast spots that just *nails it*. The food is amazing—crispy bacon, big hearty breakfasts, and that homemade feel you don’t get much anymore. The chicken fried steak? Unreal. Perfectly crispy, super tender, and that gravy on top is just next level. You can tell everything’s made with care, not just thrown together. It’s honestly hard to find places like this these days. If you're into real, solid breakfast food that tastes homemade, you gotta check this place out. Total hidden gem.
