While there may be a lot of options in the area, there are incredibly few as good as this spot. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for food, drank, or vibe - THIS is the spot you looking for!
I’m not from New Orleans, but I visit several times a year and it is my favorite place to go!
I would say that SCDF is quite authentic. They have karaoke nights, live music, and other events. They even had Eggnog daiquiri flavor during the most recent holiday season.

“We were in Ft Worth for my daughter’s bachelorette party Saturday July 13th 2024. We had an email sent to us about large party requirements when we added one xtra person to our reservation we had had for month. The large party requirements were not possible for us we had 12 in our party. We then cancelled our reservation. Decided to stop in to get one of their famous espresso martini. I decided to go to the hostess to ask about our email. She went to get the manager. We told her what happened and that we canceled our reservation also we were so looking forward to this special dinner for my daughter. Emilee the manager listened checked into a few things and explained everything to us. She then told us to be there Saturday at 6:00pm. She wanted to make this right. We arrived at 97 West at 6:00 pm. We were treated with smiles then lead to a private room. The food atmosphere service were out of this world. Emilee and Patricio went out of their way to accommodate and make this night special. Thanks to both for making her night special. Defiantly if your in the area go there. Emilee even gave her a luggage tag with her initials MU. A guy was branding them outside and a congratulations dessert. Definitely went out of their way for us. We will definitely be back if we get to to the stock yards again. ❤️❤️“

“Outstanding food, waiter service and food station selections and service. Special shout out to the gentleman serving the roast beef. His roast had run out and there was a lengthy delay in delivery to him of a new roast. I was first in line for the new roast and finally decided to go get turkey instead. After about 5-10 minutes he appeared at our table with a plate of roast for me. It's a huge venue and how he knew where I was sitting in beyond me. Outstanding service ... I wish I'd had the presence of mind to get his name. I do have one complaint. When making the reservation I requested a table close to the food lines as I have limited mobility. When we were being escorted to our table (113) we passed a good number of identical and empty tables as we walked further and further from the food lines. I stopped the woman escorting us and told her of my request. She told me that is just a request and they don't have to honor it. I told her that we just passed many tables that would be perfect for our group and to seat us at one of those. She said that they had several hundred more people coming and those tables are reserved for them. I said ... well we're here and would like to be seated at one of those tables, groups that come later can be seated at the tables that are further away. At that point my daughter walked up, figured out what was going on and persuaded the woman to go back up front and change our table. She came back a few minutes later and seated us at table 129 which worked out great. I paid over $600 for our group of 5 ... well worth the price of the meals and experience we received. At that price I figure that the Omni can honor the simple requests made by customers of limited mobility. Also, if the Cast Iron does not honor such requests, make note of that fact on the reservation page.“

“Amazing service! Fast friendly clean and wonderful service. We came in right as they were closing. Y’all have to understand we had been in line at the Fort Worth stock show for nine hours. They kept the registers open. They took a massive order. They got it all right my kids who are exhausted are now going to bed full and happy and mom and dad are blown away by the amazing service. If you’re ever in Fort Worth check this place out you won’t go wrong.“

“We stopped by on a Friday afternoon and had a great time! It was still early, so the bar wasn’t too crowded, but the vibe was perfect — great music, friendly service, and a solid menu with plenty to choose from. There are even pool tables, which added a fun touch. I’d definitely come back again when it’s a little busier, but even in the afternoon it was an awesome spot to relax and grab a drink.“

“Good enough for a bite and will return. Prices are affordable especially at the bar. Getting cocktails here and not breaking the bank is reason enough to come here and often. Was late so staff was winding down but they were not on their A game and we were left on an island for awhile. Must have been busy as well as the floor was noticeably covered in debris and tables were sticky. Food was okay. Nothing amazing but none of it was bad. Just a little bland. Regardless, for the price it was solid. You can always add salt.“

“I've been employed with Nana's since June and it's been nothing but joy. I've been in the service industry since 2011 and I can't think of a better place that has treated me like FAMILY!! The team working here is the FAMILY!! The customers who dine at Nana's Kitchen are the FAMILY!! The atmosphere is energetic (live DJ on weekends) and the food will keep you coming back for more. I am absolutely hooked on the black eye peas, greens, pinto beans and Mac and cheese!! Don't get me started on the fried food items 🙌🙌🔥🔥 Catfish filets are my favorite. The fried pork chops, wings, and juicy tenders are all amazing!! Cakes and pies are delicious. On Sundays Nana's Kitchen serves her special menu of Oxtails over rice, Smothered turkey wings, Beef tips over rice. Chicken spaghetti is also a fan favorite!! When you come to Nana's Kitchen you'll leave with a belly full of food and a heart full of love!! But hey, don't believe me...come see for yourself. We're open Wednesday -Sunday. See ya there!! ❤️“

“My family has eaten at this establishment for years now. We do not eat there frequently since we live about 30-40 minutes away but it's my son's favorite chicken place so we go as often as we can. The food is always great, I cannot think of a single time we've ever had an issue. The staff has always been kind and attentive. However, today was a unique day. My son asked to eat there for his 6th birthday. Some hours have passed so I hope I am not misremembering the name but Caleb greeted us at the door and provided the best service I've ever had at a fast food establishment from beginning to end. As someone who has worked in the food industry and knows the workers typically do not get the recognition they deserve, I felt it was important to notify his manager and write this review. We are very grateful to Caleb and to Slims for a wonderful experience and my son especially enjoyed his birthday brownie!“
