“This was a cool little find. We were treated like royalty by our server Rachel for being first-timers. The venue itself is cute with an outdoor patio in addition to indoor booths and tables. The French Onion Soup was very tasty and a bit different - topped with puff pastry rather than cheese, but the cheese was still nice and gooey inside the soup. My wife said her tenderloin salad was good. We both enjoyed her blackberry smash. We live in Garland so we won't get there often, but it will stay in our radar when we're in the area.”

“Had lunch there this afternoon and absolutely loved the food, the service and the ambiance. Their meat was very tender and seasoned perfectly. This was our first visit, but definitely not our last. We considered two other Texas Brazilian Steakhouses before we landed on EG, mostly due to location. But after trying them it, they will probably become my new go to Brazilian Steakhouse. We love to sit at the bar and have cocktails before dinner. The dining room is private and the servers are very attentive, but not intrusive. Our favorite meals are the Seabass and the filet (you must try the sushi as well). Dee Lincoln is our favorite steakhouse in Dalles”

“If you were about to give up on whataburger, don't. This one is easily the best in the area. I've been coming here for months and never had anything come out soft or lukewarm.

Edit: As of recently, been getting orders missing add-ons, food given is still cooked appropriately. Which is more than I can say about other nearby whataburgers.”

“My favourite barbecue place in the local area. My recommendation is brisket sandwich. It’s absolutely delicious.
If you have dogs, you can sit outside with the dogs . Staff bring your dog water and sometimes treats and make you and your fur-baby feel welcome. They also bring you complimentary chips while you’re waiting for your food. Stuff are always friendly. I really love this place.”

“Looks like my review did not post. My son and I went to this location tonight. And even though the food was not the best, we could not have had better service and waitress! Her name is Heather and she is truly amazing. Her concern for the customer, attitude and overall kindness is something you normally will not receive at a restaurant. She really did care amd went over and beyond! She has been with IHOP for about 2 weeks and this company better do whatever needs to be done to keep Heather. She is such a joy and we will definitely be back and ask for her!”

“We came here yesterday for breakfast because one of my friends told me about the great value and how good it was. I was apprehensive about going back because we have eaten here for lunch and dinner before and it’s been hit or miss. The very first time I came here the brisket was moist and almost as good as Hutchins in McKinney. I kept telling my wife and son how great the food was, but when we came, the brisket was on par with Spring Creek BBQ. Very dry.

I will say the service has always been great and the atmosphere is really nice. And I do love that during lunch and dinner they give you kettle chips to snack on while you wait for your food.

So back to breakfast…

I probably will not go back to Starwood Café after eating breakfast at Tenders. You spend about the same money if not less and get way more food (that tastes as good if not better). And to be able to have brisket for breakfast, that’s a win in my book any day of the week.

Thankfully, the brisket we had was incredibly moist and very flavorful. The eggs were perfectly cooked to the way we asked for them to be. The hashbrowns had a great texture and great flavor. My son and I did not care for the potatoes, but my wife liked them and they are good if that’s your thing. Tender’s sausage has always been great so that was enjoyable as usual. The pancake was flat out amazing. It’s a very large and thick pancake, but had crispy edges, soft interior, and the syrup and butter were very flavorful.

I think the one letdown for me was the biscuits and gravy. The gravy had great texture and flavor (although you could get a little bit more for how many biscuits you’re getting) but the problem was the biscuits were overcooked. A great biscuit has just a little bit of crunch on the outside and is tender and soft all the way throughout… but the biscuits that came with our biscuits and gravy were mostly crunchy and a little bit soft in the middle. I’m not sure if that’s the way that they cook them here or if those just happen to be overcooked. Either way we still are most of them, just didn’t eat the hardest parts of the biscuits.

We will definitely be back for breakfast again soon.”

The only minor drawback is that the seating is not the most comfortable if you plan to stay for a long work session. That said, it does not take away from the overall experience or the exceptional coffee. I was a bit overwhelmed by the numerous options available to me (as a vegetarian for 30+ years, usually a fairly limited selection at a burger joint), but Bentley reassured me I could build any combination I’d like. I went with the Vegan Patty (freshly made in house), w/cheddar cheese, crispy onion straws, ketchup, lettuce & jalapeño chutney on the side. It was Effing PERFECTION! I’m so glad we stopped here, huge shout out to Bentley on being exactly what we love in our server: Genuinely friendly, helpful & attentive- you ROCK!”

The best part came after lunch. My three kids wanted to try the new cinnamon sugar pita chips with honey. We ordered a batch, but they tasted a little stale. We didn’t complain; yet another staff member (I remember he had ear loops) came over, apologized, and surprised us with a freshly cooked order. That gesture meant a lot — we hadn’t even said anything out loud!

It’s small moments like these that make me want to keep coming back. The food is great, but the staff is the real reason. Please keep up the good work finding such thoughtful employees!”

Glasses were thrown, and it quickly escalated into a dangerous situation that required a police response and a hostile takedown of those involved. It was alarming and unsettling to witness. What disappointed me most was the lack of response from management. No one came to our table to check on us or offer any kind of acknowledgment of what we had just endured. While I understand that the incident was beyond their control, some form of consideration or gesture—like a discount or even a sincere apology—would have shown respect and appreciation for their patrons' safety and comfort. So many coffee shops make their drinks WAY too sweet, this was perfect. I ordered a teddy graham latte with whole milk and no adjustments to sweetness & it was great!”
