“Visiting the island for spring break, like on all trips, we had to get donuts from a local place. Home Cut was close to our Airbnb, and a local joint, so we decided to try them out. It was a great choice. Light, airy raised donuts with a nice snap to them when you take a bite and moist, dense cake donuts. We loved all the different flavors we got. My 8 year old had 3 of them! Great way to start our day.“
“We came in on a Thursday morning for a short and sweet stop. Their donuts are bright, happy and colorful. We love that there are savory as well as sweet options. Normally I have a salt tooth, but my favorite pastries here were the donuts. As someone who doesn't have a sweet tooth: I genuinely couldn't get ENOUGH of these.“
“This is a little local owned place. We decided to go get some donuts to eat on our way to outting that morning. It was 9 am. The place isn't impressive when you first go in. Got a couple in their kolaches some donuts and donut holes. Got to tell you the kolaches were excellent!! The bread was perfect they weren't hard everything was really good in there we went back more than once. Definitely should try“
“100/10 recommend! I was a little worried as this place only had 12 reviews. Do not let that determine if you go or not. You must go! The kolaches were so delicious that we will return tomorrow for more. The service was great and they recommend their best sellers. We can't wait to go back tomorrow!“
“Went for the first time yesterday and let me tell you they did not disappoint. It was after 5 and everything was super fresh. I love pastries and these were by far the best I have had. Let's say I would make a trip from the mainland in the middle of summer to get these delicious treats. 10 out of 10 I highly recommend“
“5 stars across the board. I’m visiting from Austin, TX and stopped by the Walgreens next door for water when I saw Dawns Donuts. I was greeted, my order was taken immediately, everything was sufficient and the donuts are so tasty. I personally like quiet, less crowded spaces so I appreciated the atmosphere. Thanks y’all!“
“Best donuts in Galveston by far and absolutely the best price I mean they're a lot cheaper than most places in town, most donut shops have shrunk their glazed donuts down to no size and Shipley's I think theyve increase the size over the last couple years, best staff in town, The owner coolest dude ever is a big old raiders fan, Love taking my grandkids here“
“Great neighborhood donut shop. The owners are friendly and the freshness and taste of the baked items are exceptional. We were up at 4 am watching movies and gave Happy Donuts a visit. We were not disapppinted...the glazed were still hot....sooooo good!!!“
“Went here for my sugar fix right before closing time, and loved the different variety of drinks hot and cold as well as donut flavors. They gave me some free extra donuts as to not throw them away and was really appreciative, the gentleman and the lady were very nice and I like that their POS was updated so I can simply do tap pay“
“Went in around 4pm because we just wanted donuts. Not going to lie I was really expecting a limited supply since they close in a couple hours but we were pleasantly shocked. They had tons of donuts/pastries left that seemed like they werent too old. The lady working was very sweet and had a smile. Paid $8 for a dozen iced (variety) donuts but a dozen of regular glazed was only $7 so very reasonably priced. Not to mention shipley donuts are the best.“
“What a gem. Stopped in yesterday based on the reviews on yelp. First time having kolaches. The owner was so sweet. Not only did she help us make the perfect selections for our taste but gave us lots of local restaurant reservations. We want to know where the locals go. She is going to be starting cooking classes soon. You should go. It will be fabulous!!“
