“I’ve been coming to La Laguna for a long time and honestly this was probably the best experience we’ve had there so far. The second we walked in we were greeted by the hostess and seated right away. As soon as we sat down, the bread, chips, side sauces and waters came out immediately, which I always appreciate because nobody wants to sit there forever waiting for the basics.

Within minutes a gentleman named Ethson walked over and introduced himself, checked on me and my girlfriend and asked how everything was going and if we needed anything. He was extremely pleasant and what stood out to me was that he was not just checking on our table. I kept seeing him walking around talking to multiple tables and being very hands on. You can tell there is effort being put into the experience.

I honestly never understood why this place wasn’t packed because the food quality has always been amazing. The portions are huge but not in an over the top tacky way. It feels authentic and like you are actually getting what you paid for.

I had the Monterrey Roll and the Sonoma salad with crab and both were incredible. My girlfriend ordered a few other things and everything that hit the table looked amazing.

The manager checked on us at least three or four times which almost never happens anymore. Customer service these days can be hit or miss, but this felt very personal.

My husband works with Hilton and I could absolutely see this being a great place for corporate dinners or events with the back room setup. We have not had that conversation yet but I am looking forward to it.

We will definitely be bringing more attorneys and law firms here. Great food, great service and one of the best experiences we have had in a long time.“

“I had such a great experience here during my lunch hour. My waiter Aaron was amazing. He was so attentive and made sure that I had everything I needed. I love this place because it’s quiet, the sushi is great, and the staff is so friendly! I hate the lunch rush and was dreading going somewhere loud. It feels like so many places have really loud music that people have to talk over but not here. It’s my favorite go to spot. Shout out to the staff for such a great overall experience.“

The miso soup was hot and tasty and big!! My son asked them to deep fry a California roll off menu and loved it! Highly recommend!! Prices are more than fair! We will be back 100%!! “We pulled up and realized this was a tiny place with a drive-thru?! Drive-thru sushi in San Antonio?! I googled sushi nearby and it was between this and a chain. We love supporting local, so we chose here. Don't let the small parking lot and drive thru fool you! This place smacks... ate... whatever the cool slang is now. Push pop sushi? Also, what in the world?! It peaked my interest and apparently it's viral on social media. So, I tried it. It was definitely a fun way of eating sushi, but I do prefer mine on a plate. However, it's definitely worth a try! The other sushi rolls were super tasty. One had mango and coconut and felt like a luau party in my mouth. The other was just as good. They had ikura, which is cool because not all places that. Service was fantastic. The inside decor was some bright, fun pop art. I'd stop by again.“

“Every time we come, it never disappoints. The spicy edamame and egg rolls are automatic musst- orders. We’ve also never had a sushi roll we didn’t absolutely love; everything is consistently fresh, flavorful, and well‑made.
The service is always quick, friendly, and on point, even when they’re busy. It’s one of those places that makes you feel taken care of every single visit. Highly recommend for anyone who wants great food and a smooth dining experience.“

I personally tend to order the Bento or rolls, and might I add the prices here are super cheap for how good their food is. The Ramen is really good too! I think we were the last table to be sat for the night and a lot of times when that happens in restaurants sometimes you feel like they rush you or don’t give the best service because they want to go home. But not here! Our server Yessi was so incredibly sweet and patient, as we had a big party of 11!! And the best part of it all was our dinner that Chef Chris made for us! The food was amazing, watching him cook was so cool, he had such a fun personality, and he made sure we had a great time! They also sang happy birthday to me and made me feel incredibly special! I definitely recommend this server/chef duo for anyone that wants impeccable service!
