“I can NOT brag on this place enough. I started going here when they first opened by Joes Bait (before Matt and Terri bought it) and it’s only gotten better since! I might go there 4-7 days a week but I’m treated as a new customer that they want to keep forever. Matt goes without saying…hands down always trying to please. BUT Alex, she’s amazing. I’ve NEVER caught her without a smile and genuinely pleased to see me…even if it’s 5:45 on a Friday. “We visited Verf's on 9/19/25 and Jose F was our waiter. The food was wonderful, and our waiter Jose did an excellent job checking on us but not becoming annoying by constantly asking if we needed anything. We sat near the bar which was a tad noisy, but the booth we were seated in was uncomfortable and better suited for larger people b/c the table is too far away from the seats. And our table had an uneven wood surface as we cut into our food. Lastly, the $2.50 discount for Police/Fire/Vets should be a little more ... say 15%. Otherwise, it was an outstanding dining experience.“

I made the mistake of asking for the sauce on the side, thinking it would be too spicy. This place is operated by a husband and wife team who said they have been operating the restaurant for 30 years, which explains why their food was so delicious. We live 190 miles away, but definitely plan on going back. The atmosphere in the place was nice and relaxing.“
