“Torchy's is a street taco specialist that started up as a food truck in Austin and has now expanded to over 90 restaurants across the States including this place on Whitestone Blvd. in Cedar Park. They have a fair sized indoor seating area as well as outdoor tables. You can do take-away and delivery as well. Menu features a few not-taco and side items along with their signature list soft tacos that are really good. We had dinner here recently amongst friends, tried 6-7 of their different tacos, let's just say that nobody complained and we gladly finished them all. Torchy's is a neat place that is family friendly and a good spot to meet up with friends. Prices are reasonable, range of taco options good and they seem to know what they are doing in the kitchen. Would gladly eat here again and do take-away for meals at home.“

“Decided to try this little spot. The windows were festively painted and it looked interesting. We cam in for breakfast, ordering chips and queso, chorizo migas, been and bacon taco and chorizo and been taco.
The atmosphere felt more like a fast food spot, not a come and relax and enjoy restaurant. Pay at the counter after your meal. The wait staff didn’t check on us, we were good but just sharing.

The chips and queso were good. We asked for sala verde as well and it had great flavor. The salsa tasted roasted and was good. The beans were good, they tasted home made and so were the flour tortillas. The chorizo is a brown recipe vs the red recipe I’m use to. The plate came with potatoes and we asked for them to be cooked to golden which they were and tasted good. The overall flavor of the meal was good.“

“We’ve been searching for a good, authentic Mexican restaurant in West Austin for a while and we think we just found it! First, the basics; good salsa, charro beans, and Mexican rice. Solid margarita. For our entrées, we both loved them. I had the “famous puffy tacos,” which were a thick corn tortilla fried, but soft. unique, and excellent. My wife had the Enchiladas Potosinas, which was relatively new on the menu. Also, excellent! We plan to return.👍“

“I accidentally came across El Bajío Mexican Food Truck after seeing other reviews, and I’m glad I gave it a try.

The food was pretty solid overall, and I was happy with what I got. The consommé had pieces of beef stew in it, which made it extra satisfying and really hit the spot.

This was a nice food truck find and definitely worth checking out if you’re craving solid Mexican food.“

“We’ve eaten here several times since they moved locations in Spicewood. The food has been consistently great; salsa, steak nachos, enchiladas, etc all very tasty. Food comes out at a decent clip. Great location in Spicewood with both indoor and outdoor seating. The service though is often hit or miss. We’ve had a couple of good servers who engage and are friendly, but do feel there is a culture within the restaurant where hospitality is ignored. Some of the staff have come across downright rude, ignoring us, muttering as they walk away, etc. Can’t put our finger on it, but a couple of times we’ve walked away feeling like the staff didn’t want us there and/or didn’t appreciate the business. If they could get that attitude figured out, it would make a tremendous difference.“

Compadres is hands down the best tasting and best value food trailer in Spicewood. The owner and his family are genuine and committed to great service! My pro-tip is to call your order in ahead of time because the space is tight inside when it’s busy. If needed, ask for English, there’s always someone to help!! :) it’s the breakfast tacos and lunch tacos for me“

Got some tacos, esquites (corn in a cup), and a birrierias torta. The service was quick and all the food was delicious, but esquites was a little pricey. I would recommend stopping here for some authentic street food that hit the spot.“

“Been going to the Anderson Lane location in North Central Austin every 2 weeks for many years (even before Covid). It always is good fuel and fits in my budget. Just now sitting down to do a review. Always good, always fresh. The staff and managers are always friendly and helpful and the place is always clean. Also I was telling the manager that I'm glad they now fresh squeeze lemons for real lemonade. We were talking abt clean ingredients and he told me they use rice bran oil to fry fish and avacado oil for their chips. Wow! Awesome! This is one of the few places I will get fried food around town bc other places use dangerous chemicals in their frying oils. Cabo Bobs, keep it up!“
