“Omg my son’s boss told him about Kelley’s and we had never ate there. We had just got off our 9-day cruise & wanted some serious comfort food. Kelley’s definitely fit the bill. Homemade hand-battered chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes/gravy, fried okra, salad & fresh rolls! All servings were HUGE and delicious 😋 all for $16. I ate off of my lunch 3 times! We will def be back. Amanda was our server & she was on top of everything & great service. We were only disappointed that they were out of the Texas size homemade biscuits from the breakfast run. If you’ve never ate there before u gotta try it and u will be back.“

Update 11-22-2025 1:00am: Another night without Oscar as our server… the lady failed to make our order right on multiple levels despite telling her what we wanted twice. When she realized part of the order was incorrect due to Oscar checking on us, she tried to shift the blame on the cook and even Oscar despite him being the one to help us out in the first place. Again, Oscar is the only good night shift server. Promote him to night manager.“

“I came to Mariah’s for New Year’s brunch and it was absolutely fantastic. The brunch buffet was executed perfectly, the chicken and waffles were bomb, and the seafood spread was impressive and fresh. Everything was well thought out and beautifully presented.

The service, as always, was excellent. Attentive, professional, and welcoming. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance of classy yet not pretentious, which makes it such an enjoyable place to relax and celebrate.

The location on the bayou just adds to the experience, such a great setting for a special occasion. I truly enjoyed my New Year’s brunch.“

“This is a great little place to eat!! I had grilled shrimp taco's and they were wonderful.! The other dishes that were ordered were just as good! Hamburger steak, pizza, grilled chicken po boy. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the price was just as accommodating as the food was!“

“Went for the first time on Sunday. Upon entering, we approached the check in/ cashier desk. Wait staff were walking back & forth as we stood & no one said a word. No greeting, not we will be right with you. Not a word! One young lady ( Wish I would have gotten her name) she was sitting right there, preparing serving utensils. She did not say a word as we stood there. I've never felt so uncomfortable, unwelcome, & disregarded! Never! Finally, another wait staff that was helping over at the check out computer, walked over & asked the young lady who was sitting there to assist us! Still, not a word to us! The young lady stood up & with the worse attitude, she asked did we want to sit inside or outside. While I was asking my husband his preference, she rolled her eyes & and rudely asked , " Inside or out!? Again, I wish I had asked her name, but she appeared to be the youngest. Between being disregarded as we walked in & stood, and her attitude, I told my husband I was uncomfortable & wanted to leave! He pushed back & said let's give it a chance beyond this! So we stayed & were seated outside as we preferred. Then comes our waitress! What a pleasant surprise & she turned our experience around! We learned that she had not been there but 3 days or 3 weeks. ( I forget) her name is Amanda & she is pregnant. She's such a pleasant & nice person! We felt badly for sitting outside, because she worked so diligently. It was quite a walk in the heat, because we chose to sit outside on the pier that was a bit of a walk. Again, she was so pleasant & professional! The drinks & food are superb! From the oyster 🦪 appetizers, to the platters! Delicious! Some of the best seafood & side orders, ever! Truly! Drinks are flavorful, delicious, and they aren't stingy or scarce with the liquor. 😆 I would absolutely visit again, but truly afraid of the treatment, unless it's Amanda again“

“Our light lunch at cafe in the park was so delicious. The ambiance was incredible and our server Tommie was very attentive! She checked back in frequently, made sure we were enjoying everything, and kept our drinks well filled. We got the lobster bisque and the nachos with shrimp for a light tapas style lunch and we could not have gone wrong, highly highly highly recommend!“

“Nice classic buffet layout? Staff was very inviting and pleasant personalities. Our waitress was very attentive. They had a decent variety of various dishes. Being by the ocean I expected a better seafood variety than what was presented. Battered shrimp and like three styles off fish. The shrimp had the tails left on and battered so be careful when eating the battered shrimp. The steak though was excellent very nice and tender. The other available courses where all very tasty. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.“

“It's a fast food place. Not a free standing building. It is half burger king and half gas station. Difficult to get to. You must pull into the gas station parking lot. If you drive to the Burger King building it will take you 5-10 minutes to circle back around to get back. You can only enter the parking lot from one direction.“

“I have been eating here for so many years. The Best Catfish in the Greater Houston/Galveston area. I have since moved away from Dickinson, but I come to see Ms. Lily once a month and still get the "All You Can Eat Catfish." A MUST when in the area or traveling to Galveston. 5 stars all the way...they treat you like family.“

We told the cashier and she was not receptive, just took our money. There didn't seem to be a manager or owner available for us to talk to. We will not be back and will certainly spread this news!“

Love the different events they have been having. The Singo Bingo was a lot of fun this evening! Fun to meet new people and just have a good time. “My husband and I stopped in for a few drinks and a small bite. Aiden and Taylor were fantastic company and really made our visit enjoyable! We ordered a Philly cheese steak and onion rings to share and the food was absolutely perfect! Definitely 5+ starts to the chef!! Drinks were great too and we will definitely be back during our visit to Galveston! If you've had a bad experience here prior to just a few weeks ago, you should seriously give them another try. During our conversations, we were told that this place had gotten a bad reputation for service and staff and these two specifically (Taylor and Aiden) were working very hard to turn that around. It sounded like both of them truly cared about the customers and the business and they want to make it the best possible place for people to come and visit. Even though they were getting ready to close up when we arrived, we never felt like we were being rushed or that we were a bother. It was a wonderful, relaxing experience and one we really enjoyed!“
