“I ordered the chicken fried steak, and as someone who really loves CFS, I was disappointed. While the portion size was generous, the steak itself seemed to have been fried against the bottom of the pan, or set for a period of time on parchment to seal a thick, flat sheet of crust that was greasy rather than crispy. I had to add a lot of pepper just to get some flavor. The mashed potatoes were also bland. I will not be ordering anything that is fried on their menu. On the positive side, the wedge salad was amazing, and the bread pudding reminded me of New Orleans — absolutely delicious. The bread service was inconsistent: the first round was dry and stale, but the second round was hot and fresh, which made me feel like the initial serving had simply been sitting out. If it hadn’t been for the salad and dessert, I would have spoken up about the meal. I was also disappointed to see cardboard boxes stacked in a way that hid the distillery from my view. That said, the service was truly amazing, and the staff were the highlight of the experience.“

“My son and daughter in law took me here for my birthday today. Service was great. It is a Saturday evening and the wait time was only 25 minutes compared to an hour or more at other places here in Lubbock. Service was great. The waitress was attentive. The atmosphere was chill and relaxed. I will definitely go again.“

There are limited spots available and it can be tricky when there are multiple large trucks in a row. Overall, highly recommend this place as it far exceeds Texas Roadhouse for quality, price, and experience.“

“My significant other and I tried Steak Express tonight for the first time via Pick Up. I put in an order through the app, and was ready on time, and pick up was easy! The staff was very friendly! Food was very hot and fresh even after the drive back to Wolfforth! Steaks were both cooked as requested, and the flavor was amazing! Tender with a bit of chew. Baked potatoes were very soft, and just right. We also tried the grilled onions and got a lot, there was enough for both our steaks as well as putting on our potatoes. This experience was so good I even called and told the lady on the phone that we appreciate their service, and the food was amazing. I know it's not much but I figured getting a call about how good our experience was, is better than hearing complaints or anything. Definitely will be back again in the future!“

“We had to wait 1 hour for a table of ten but I can understand, but we sat down and I over heard 2 waitress taking about our table and one did not want to do it and wanted the other to do it. We ordered our steak medium and with a Jelepeno. It came back cooked well well done and no jalepeno. It was just a little frustrating when we waited so long for a good steak and then had to wait again.“
