“The Greek salad was delicious and fresh. The chicken shawarma was perfectly seasoned and warm. Highly recommend trying the baclava and Turkish coffee together. Tried the chocolate calzone which is filled with hazelnut spread and served fresh. Hits just right! Will definitely be back.“

“Y'all, this is our new go-to in Lubbock! We had a second to chat with Ben, the owner, after we finished our incredible dinner and then we loved it even more! The menu is so varied that everyone can find SOMETHING and the prices and portions are incredible! We had the egg and cheese grilled cheese, the club on a croissant, the chicken and waffles and a 1/2 beef, 1/2 mozzarella cheese Korean corn dog with potato, plus two spiral potatoes, and we could not have loved it more! The restaurant was clean and organized and he said he is even aware of what music he plays so as to be family friendly! This will absolutely be our new must have!“

“😍Lubbock Food Review: 😍 Jay and I went to Savage Tavern today and let me just say it was amazing. This place is said to have the best BRUNCH in Lubbock. There were about 10 things we both wanted to try, but we settled on a Bloody Mary and these two amazing dishes. I had the Avocado Caprese Toast with potatoes and he had the Texas Migas with queso! Yall! It was fantastic! The service was superior and it was a fun atmosphere. We sat inside but they do have a patio and we plan to go back this week for dinner. 🙌 So if you are looking for a great brunch place on the weekend or just a new place, give this a try! “We had on unusual experience in that my dog got sick, diarrhea, and happened immediately when I was ordering. He had just been professionally groomed and was looking great! It was a huge mess and my wife called from the car.
Nick, who couldn't have been over 20 years old, was really professional and helpful at the front and let me borrow some paper towels, and was concerned and considerate. When I had to cancel the order on short order he was willing to do that, but the cleanup turned up to be not too bad (for a 130 lb Pyrenees) and we went ahead and got the pizzas anyway. The bad thing about the store is for some reason they don't think it's important to get the front door fixed and so for three months or so they've been dealing with this door. The location is great but the little mini strip mall is a little tight. I'm sure someone came into excited for their pizza which from the reviews seem to be well received. GET THE DOOR/WINDOW FIXED!! The previous location was more ideal and it's a trip to get across town to where this one is but it is well worth it!!“

I really appreciated the variety of vegetarian options, which felt thoughtfully done rather than like an afterthought. My bowl was flavorful and well-balanced, though worth noting: even after asking for heat, it wasn’t spicy at all, so spice lovers may want to temper expectations.

That said, the experience had a bit of a rough start. We arrived right at the posted opening time (11am) and ended up waiting outside in the freezing cold, unsure if they were actually open. We had to call to confirm, and only then did someone come to unlock the door. Once inside, I asked for hot tea—pretty standard at most Japanese spots—only to be told they were completely out, which was surprising.

All things considered, Yanagi Ramen delivers a dependable bowl with good vegetarian choices and a clean, modern space. A few opening-hour kinks and missing basics kept it from being great, but the food itself was enjoyable, and I’d happily come back—just not for spice, and hopefully next time with hot tea ready to go.“

One of the times I paid for extra portions 3x and only got a partial refund though I didn't receive what I paid for. When it happened on my second order, too....and doordash didn't communicate at all about my feedback, I decided it was time for a google review. I'm trying to be fair here with 5 stars for the food and 4 stars overall...though probably deserve less the fact this wasn't reconciled through the other channels.“
