“We dined for Valentine’s Day ($80/person for a 4 course meal) and I’d have to say that as a broke college kid, this was money well spent!! I attached pictures of each dish....Izzy is the best waitress we could ask for! The kitchen was way behind but her amazing attitude made the time fly by!

The bulgogi beef is out of this world, and the bibimbap should not be slept on (esp in the hot clay pot).And as others have mentioned, Daniel is the consummate host!“

“Went to the AMAZING Buddy Holly Museum ("The Day The Music Died"). What a blast from the past! After, our group was HUNGRY and happened to notice the CAST IRON GRILL just across the street. What a WONDERFUL experience! When was the last time you had a DELICIOUS Half Pound Burger, grilled to perfection and served surrounded by fresh made crispy Potato Chips? YES, this place makes their own Potato Chips and they are AMAZING!. So we asked about the Onion Rings - are they frozen??? NO WAY! Big thick rings of sweet onion, freshly breaded and fried crispy just like the Potato Chips. Now I grant you this isn't a Health Food Restaurant (unless you grew up in the 50's and 60;s like we did). This is just GREAT AMERICAN CUISI:NE served PERFECT. AND BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE HOME MADE PIE SELECTION!They are in the big display case right in side the front door. This place is a local hit just because of the PIE! If you are going to Lubbock, Texas or just passing through on your way somewhere, DON"T MISS THE CAST IRON GRILL! It is well worth an overnight stay in this lovely West Texas town.

So, the noise level was very high for awhile. We were the last group to leave, but we never felt rushed and our service was excellent. The food was great, not a large menu, but all well prepared and very satisfying. Margaritas are great, but some of the other mixed drinks are a little stout!! Next time we will try the interesting wine list. Recommend the pork chop and the elk.“

The food was good and quite yummy (although my husband did find his strawberry salad a bit frozen - we joked about having to re-check the menu to see if the salad was described as a crunchy strawberry salad. ?) Last night our server was Landon and I cannot even properly express how fantastic the service was. My whole family was impressed. We thought he was a waiter trained at a large city five star restaurant. We were incorrect. He became a server at a Country Club in Lubbock, left there and started at Abuelo's. The food was excellent as always and Landon is a superstar waiter!“

“I drove from my Airbnb in Albuquerque to my next Airbnb in Lubbock, worrying that I would arrive too late in the evening and have to settle for drive-thru food.I had planned for months to try Chicago style pizza at Woody's, which is in the neighborhood where I would be staying. “I went to Lubbock for a conference and picked up take out from this place. Surprisingly it may be the most authentic Indian food I've eaten. Parking outside is limited so I parked by the curb near the street. The furniture inside is well used, there was one other group eating who were clearly from India. I got the Murg Curry Shah Jahini which came in two Styrofoam coffee cups and was handed to me by an extremely nice Sikh man. It was not fancy but affordable and delicious. I would absolutely go again and eat inside next time, but also wouldn't hesitate to get take out.“

Saffron & Spice brings a charming medley of warm, spicy Indian flavor that melds well with west Texas palates without being overwhelming. From the potato bhaji to her butter chicken, the aromas of her amazing food fill my car and I'm salivating by the time I get home and dig into each dish. I really enjoyed the chowli curry, the depth of flavor was incredible. This is the type of comfort food that I want when I'm getting over a cold - satiating, warm, comforting, and easy to eat. And the beef! Oh, the beef. My husband and I were fighting over the last bite of keema pav. I'm regularly watching the Saffron and Spice page for new foods debuting at Saturday pickup. “I ordered some catering on a relatively short notice (ordered on Tuesday to pick up on Thursday). I wanted to pick up the order at 11:30am yesterday, but the website would only let me set the pick up time for noon. I reached out to the location via phone, and the manager was very accommodating and kept my information written down so he'd know to have my order ready early. I got to Torchy's around 11:20 on Thursday, and the order was already ready! The manager even carried the order to my vehicle, which I can greatly appreciate being heavily pregnant. Not long after, I needed to put in additional orders for vegetarian options (to no fault of Torchy's, I just didn't know we had vegetarians). They were very quick to get the orders made and I was back at the office in no time! The staff was very caring and made sure everything went perfectly. I'll make sure to order more in the future, though; the food was so delicious it went super quickly!

“I was visitng from out of town and decided to stop here for dinner. There are not a lot of restaurants that have vegan options but I knew Pei Wei was one! You can sub tofu and vegetables in for almost all of their menu items! I wish there were a few more vegan options for the appetizers but the vegetable spring rolls were pretty good.

“The menu has literally anything you could want!! I had the spicy penne in the vodka sauce with meatballs. The meatballs were amazing! Everything was actually amazing!! We even made friends with the manager over my shirt and the table next to us. The baby at the table next to was trying cheesecake for the first time!! It was so much fun! Yes this restaurant is family friendly but in all honesty it’s rated E for everyone!! The meatloaf is good too and the table next to me ordered the egg roll sampler thing n it looked amazing!!! I can’t remember my servers name but he was amazing too!! “I love Sprinkles!! I bring my daughter here all the time for a special treat and it has become a tradition for us. Lubbock is so lucky to have this gem of a spot!! Everyone I know is always excited to receive a Sprinkles cupcake! My personal favorites are red velvet, vegan red velvet, salted caramel, cinnamon, carrot cake, strawberry, and coconut (limited time).1. Menu: There are several choices and a constant rotation of new featured flavors. No explanation needed on classic flavors like strawberry and vanilla and a description is provided under the featured flavors.2. Accommodations: You can walk in, order online and pick up in store, order and have the cupcakes delivered, or purchase cupcakes from the 2 vending machines in town.3. Customer service: Excellent customer service! The gentleman working up front, Christian, is always so kind! He is very personable and truly makes our experience wonderful every time we’re walk in to Sprinkles. He is very genuine about his personal favorite flavors and what he recommends.4. Portions: The cupcakes are huge!! Much larger than other cupcakes spots around town. I have tried others and keep coming back to Sprinkles. When a ordering cupcake, you obviously want a large amount of frosting. Otherwise, I would buy a muffin. They do have a monthly mini sampler set with 3 featured flavors.5. Quality: The cupcakes are baked fresh daily in the morning. The cupcakes are rich and full of flavor. There are some flavors like strawberry that are sweeter and vanilla that is milder.6. Cost: These are gourmet cupcakes that are large in size, and that is reflected in the price. The biggest downfall is that there is no bulk discount price. I do wish Sprinkles would offer a bulk discount.If you are thinking about trying this place, I would give it a shot.“
