“Wow. Amazing. Tortillas are handmade, and they make them only when you order and you can definitely tell. Birria is done right. A surprise was Carne Asada Fries. I didn't expect to find waffle fries at a Mexican place. Even more surprising was that these are the best waffle fries I've ever had in my life. And it's not even close.

10 stars out of 5. This place needs to be protected at all costs, a historical marker that defines what Mexican food should be, the standard for all culinary establishments.“

“Wonderful, fresh, simple yet flavorful and made with obvious care and pride. I loved their food.

The menu is simple but that means they focus on making fewer items the best they can be. Portions were just right and a great value especially these days.

Excellent Chicken Flautas Plate . Crunchy but not too hard, flavorful chicken and the fresh sour cream, lettuce, and tomato on top just made it a wonderful experience especially on a hot summer day.

The cucumber & lime salad, that came free, was so refreshing and a wonderful pallet cleanser and digestive aid.

The Gordita was delicious. A bit greasy but in a way I loved (I got it with barbacoa).

I have a digestive intolerance for beans and they were careful not putting any on the dishes I was eating from as requested.

My son got his favorite beans, Barbacoa, cheese and sour cream in a Burrito which he loved.

This was our first time there and I wish I had gotten photos. I will next time as we will definitely be ordering again.“

“Absolutely delicious! My wife and I have heard great things about this place and we finally had the opportunity to try it. We absolutely loved it! We tried the Birria Ramen, Birria Fries, and Ribeye Fajita Taco. Everything was fantastic. The food was rich and flavorful. The staff were friendly. The food was cooked quickly. There are outdoor patio seats if you want to eat there. It’s kind of hot outside so we took our food to go and enjoyed it in our home. We’re definitely excited to return here again and try more options on their menu.“

“Nice fresh breakfast tacos! The eggs were cooked perfectly, not hard and dry like many places. The potatoes were also cooked well, not fried in unhealthy oils. Great prices; happy I found this place!“

We stopped in for lunch and were impressed with the quality of the food—everything we ordered was flavorful, well-prepared, and hit the spot. “Excellent 1/2 chicken with excellent onion, usual sides. I missed living in the neighborhood near the #2 North Lamar location. I stopped by at a slow time of day, polite staff and great food. Took to go, but the place was clean and ready for business later on in the day. Grabbed a couple neighborhood newspapers as I left.“
