“Had the chance to sneak into Goldee’s BBQ’s private Brisket School — the #1 BBQ joint in all of Texas! Learned the Goldee’s method firsthand and it was one unforgettable experience. I’ve attended several cooking schools and this was one of the very best. Highly recommend.“

“First time eating here after wanting to try it for a few weeks. Broke da mouth is a understatement, More like broke the whole body. I ordered loco moco and mac salad with the corn. My coworker ordered the same thing. She was blown away saying 10 out of 10 stars. Will make this a spot to eat every time I'm in the area. If you read this and don't eat here it your fault.“

“I ate here all the time when the Casstevens family owned it and they were on the Texas Monthly BBQ radar. Had a couple of bad trips after the ownership change, but gave it a try today, and I was really glad I did. The brisket on my sandwich was moist and delicious (no sauce for me). The portion was just right for a normal human, and the lunch special came with a bag of chips and a cold, canned soft drink for only $5.99. I'll definitely be back again.“

Clean, food was super fresh, so much bread. Our bread lady was Audrey and she was the best. She got out to go boxes for us and was super friendly about it. Excellent customer service

MJay’s House of Smoke did not disappoint! I brought my relatives visiting from Arizona, and they absolutely loved it. The food was delicious, flavorful, and fresh — real, good barbecue that hits the spot. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere just felt right from the moment we walked in.

“I ordered takeout for a corporate meeting with clients from overseas. Our guests wanted a real Texas barbecue experience and these guys delivered. Eric went above and beyond. The food was delicious and my clients were impressed. There was plenty left over to feed the guys in the shop as well. Eric is now my best friend and I will get him a card on his birthday“
