“This is one of my favorite places to eat. It is hard to find healthy, quality vegan food. Everything on the menu is so delicious and made from scratch. You can’t beat the pricing anywhere for the quality you get. Even my non vegan friends love the food. They are also always so friendly and hospitable too. Highly recommend this place!“
“The ambiance on the patio was amazing and the food was superb. I got an enchilada with spinach and sundried tomatoes that was recommended by the server and my husband got the skirt steak, which she also recommended. Both were excellent. The drinks also did not disappoint. I had never had a Mexican martini (I'm a vodka dirty martini gal) and it was very, very good. My husband said their top shelf margarita was the best he's had in a long time. We're visiting from out of state and came here on a whim on a Friday night with no reservation and though it was very busy we only waited about a half an hour for an outdoor patio spot. Highly recommend!“
“We had the pleasure of meeting Tom and Maria a week ago and they invited to their restaurant. They told us about how original their food was and that customers were invited to make their own combinations. We arrived to find a menu and an off menu menu created by return customers. It was amazing! We had a very hard week and this meal not only fed our bellies but our souls. Everything is homemade and it shows. This charming restaurant is a must go! Do yourself a favor and come to Maria's!“
“Well, we’re over from England celebrating my 70th birthday and the meal here this evening was easily the best by far. It will not and cannot be exceeded for the rest of our three week trip. The rib-eye was so well cooked and the mushrooms were elevated to a flavour level that I didn’t think mushrooms could reach. My wife’s fish tacos were equally as wonderful and have been recorded as having reached legendary status. Edward the chef and joint owner has a superb palate and clearly knows how to put a dish together. We’re leaving first thing tomorrow morning. If we weren’t we’d be back. Too late to change our plans. What a shame.Just go and go again. This has been the highlight of dining out not just of this trip but perhaps of all time.“
“Absolutely wonderful dining experience. the moment we walked in we were greeted by Shana who was so welcoming and friendly. Carla our waitress was extremely attentive and followed up during the meal to make sure everything was to our liking and came back to refill beverages. She explained the menu and made wonderful suggestions. Tania stopped by our table to greet us and to offer dining suggestions as well. She enticed us and made it so much more difficult to make a decision so for a table of 4 we ordered the nachos, tuna totopos , queso, guacamole and then my husband ordered the grilled fish, and 2 of us had the barbacoa tacos and another person had the chicken enchiladas. We also had 3 desserts! EVERYTHING was exquisite! I have never had better barbacoa! It is tender and absolutely perfectly seasoned! The chicken in the enchiladas was also beautifully seasoned. I would have just loved it on a salad ! My husband LOVED the fish and sauce and the white rice and the salad/dressing.We are in town from Dallas and will be going back before we leave! Please open Carriqui in Dallas/Plano ... We had one little hick-up which didn't matter much to me because I did not need the tortillas but the corn tortillas fell apart when we went to pick them up! We ate the tacos with a fork. Suggest that be addressed but other than that everything was perfection! We will be back before we head home!“
“Put on your stretchy pants before you head to Bobbie's- you're going to need them! Our party of 8 all ordered different items on and off their menu and tasted IT ALL. You cannot go wrong with anything you get- it's high end gourmet food with a hometown comfort food feel. It's the best home cooking you've ever had that looks and tastes like it should be in a 5 Star restaraunt. Our server was on point- my coffee was magically refilled, creamer restocked, and we were never without napkins, full drinks, and service with a smile. Hands down- Bobbie's has the most amazing service ever. This is our annual visit to Bobbie's.... I mean San Antonio, and we are always treated like family. The cafe is small, but they make it feel spacious with the way they seat their tables and cater to each party. Head over early- they stay packed... you don't want to miss out. Bobbie's is definitely worth the wait. It's the type of restaurant that you go to, and talk about for months after.“
“Chips and salsa, blah. Salsa was warm and no flavor. First, lunch serving is very small. Chilled Rellano was not traditional, first they brought me chicken instead of picadillo. Then forgot my fork. Did not care for Chille Relleno. Looked like a creamy avacado sauce over the top. I usually judge a Mexican restaurant by its Chille Relleno. They failed.Update, decided try again. I must say, they have the best Cuban I have had in San Antonio. So they now get 4 stars. We will see what's next.“
“This location..We all went there after our Fiesta day parade. It was The best Nicha's everything was on point.. all six order different. And all were amazed how good every meal was.?Parking: South, San AntonioMission rdYou won't be disappointed ❤️Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Popped in mid morning for 4 tacos, and left like 5 minutes later with some great tacos. Service was quick and order was correct ( I ordered a custom taco). Salsa bar with plenty of options and very clean given how many people were in front of me.Great local option to stop and grab a few tacos. It is small so probably cant stay long but the service is quick so you likely wont have to.“
“Been coming to Plazas since I was 8-10 years old.Best restaurant ever. No other like it!!!Food is absolutely AMAZING. Prices are PERFECT.Service is out of this world!!!Big shout out to the owners and the ones behind the kitchen.Had the best breakfast tacos this morning as well!!“
“Came here to eat Breakfast at 10AM on a Sunday , The place is a little small. But the food is delicious,Eva’s is a real Authentic Mexican restaurant. This isn’t Tex-Mex. Eva’s is an Authentic Mexican restaurant & they don’t play around in the Kitchen. I ordered 3 tacos Of Beef Fajita, 1 Taco de Asada , & 1 of Barbacoa. And they were delicious, and very filled with Meat. I’ve also ordered 3 Small Menudos & they were very tasty. I recommend everyone to come check out Eva’s, it’s also a lot cheaper compared to other Restaurants.“
“First time here. I love Mexican food. This is this little Tex-Mex style, but very good. I enjoyed the Carne Guisada. Tender chunks of beef tips in a deliciously spicy gravy. Everything on point. Service was friendly and efficient. Family friendly restaurant good for parties and kids.“
“Food is always the highest quality and at a reasonable price. Excellent Enchelada special on Wednesday for $6.95. Quesadillas are always good. Have never had a bad meal here and have been a regular since their opening six years ago. Service is always friendly and attentive.“
“My new favorite Mexican restaurant in San Antonio!!! Delicious!!! Tried a couple different chicken enchiladas - ? yum!Dietary restrictions: My friend is allergic to several allergens including dairy and gluten - the server and chef were very careful!!!“
“Solid Pollos Asados. With some of the more famous places in town starting to slip in quality I decided to try this place close to home. The chicken was very good! Charro beans good though very salty. The rice is sadly sad. Just some rice boiled in Knorr. But I will still call this place my new go to for Char Chicken. Good job you guys. Staff was fine. Food came out quickly on a slow Sunday. Whole chicken, rice, beans, good fresh corn tortillas (probably from a local molino) a jalepeno, half a grilled onion (very good!) and two salsas. Ok you owe ma another red salsa! heehee. I got one red and one green but I should have got two reds. That stuff is great! Thanks you guys! all under 23 bucks.Parking: Small lot but still very doable.“
“Omg. Amazing. I showed the guy a picture of someone else’s review, said that’s what I wanted and asked what it was and he told me it was a salad! The Mexican Cobb salad or something. I usually don’t like salads but this was protein PACKED. I got a corn and flour tortilla on the side for .69 each. They also give an active duty military discount. So good, definitely going back and I already have my regular order ready.“
“We had a family gathering at Henry Puffy Taco .We all had a great time. Great food followed. Each person numbering 50 ordered from the menu, placing extra pressure on the cooks and our positive hostess .The restaurant did not panic but then again it's how they handle rush hour .Thank you PUFFYWheelchair accessibility: Some of us had canes and walkers .The first think thought was how do I get up there however it is truly handi helpful.“
“Had a whole trip planned frpm austin that was going wrong in every way. Birthday weekend for my daughter and I felt like i failed in making it right. We found this spot and it started to change my horrible morning into something good. The service was amazing chorizo migas...no greasy chorizo and perfectly crispy tortillas for the midas. It's a older hole in the wall so the building doesn't give much but the people and food make up for it 10fold. Thank you to this staff for helping me feel better.“
“I visited this restaurant about a month ago. To this day, I have not been able to get this restaurant out of my mind. The food service atmosphere was excellent. I will be back soon and will be the first place I will be having some excellent food. See yall soon, Esteban.....“
“My girls and I went to Mi Tierra after a fun night out at Fiesta and it was right on time. We only had to wait 5 min to be seated and we were seated just in time to be able to order a rita (Sunday). They had a live band playing and the murals on the walls were amazing. The food was sooo good! We ordered breakfast items and some off of the regular menu. Our waitress Melissa was amazing and had what we needed without asking. I got a Sangria swirl it was too tasty. I will def visit again when I hit San Antonio. They have a bakery inside the restaurant too. My friend wanted her sweet bread so she did not hesitate to wait in the long (30 min) line....it was definitely worth the wait.“
“Takes credit card Quick service Parking available in the streets in the neighborhood Lots of seating available for large parties They make their tortillas in house. The tortillas were super soft Machacado and Egg taco- this was so good. Nice combination of meat and egg. Seasoned well Huevos Ranchero- eggs made well Steak and Egg (9.99)- the steak was average, a small piece of meat. The eggs were cooked fine. Taco Loco (2.99)- had chorizo and egg. It was a good size and had potatoes. tasted underseasoned.“
“This is my neighborhood restaurant. Service is always great here and I'm always excited to be back! The food is always delicious and fresh! I honestly think they probably have one of the best bean and cheese tacos in town. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. Don't sleep on this place!!!!!!“
“In town for a few days and Garcia’s was just a few minutes walk from where we stayed. Grabbed 5 breakfast tacos to go and it was only $16. Everything was incredible and they included a ton of good hot sauce and pico. The brisket and machacado tacos were insanely good!“
“Ordered the super nachos (steak, queso, onions and bell peppers) and it was super amazing! I was surprised lol. It came with a side of guac, sour cream and Jalepenos for like $10, and the portion was large. These are definitely the best nachos I've had in San Antonio. The only drawback is that the stack, onions and bell peppers are sliced into long strips, not diced, so it can be a little hectic eating it.“
“The food was really good except the queso needed a little more salsa or something in it. My wife had enchiladas and said that they were really good. Normally she doesn't like restaurant enchiladas. I had the pork guisada and it was really good too.Our server was really bad though and it looked like everyone else was getting good service.“
“Arrive early to get a table, it fills up quick. Coffee refill on point. I ordered the carne guisada taco, crispy chicharron with egg and a chorizo and bean taco. Amazing flavor and portions. The corn tortillas are handmade and taste amazing! Watch out for their salsa ranchera, super hot!“
“We had a great experience here our server was on point The order came out just Not long after a we ordered. The place had an old school feel to it the food was good We also got a bucket of beer They do have a kid's menu for the kids The enchiladas were good“
“Our server was on her ps & qs! She took care of us as fast as possible. They were out of barbacoa when we came so we were all sad to hear that! I resorted to the brisket plate, meat was dry and plate said potatoes not potato salad. I still ate the plate because it was delicious regardless of the things I would have changed. The space is really small so try to keep your party small. The wait was quick and we were seated in less than 15 minutes of arriving!“
“I'm not a huge fan of eating rotting corpses for food but a friend wanted to go eat at Alamo. They didn't have much to accommodate but the Bartendress made me some NChoea with Guac, Rice, Beans and jalapenos. It was a nice ambience, the staff was friendly. Great place to visit“
“We had the carne guisada and the beef quesadillas, which both come with rice, beans and home-made tortillas and Nachos. The tortillas are the best I‘ve ever eaten!! And the carne was soft and muy deliciosO. Drinks are also really big. You get so much good food for amazing prices. Most of the maln dishes are >10$. Would come here anytime I‘m in San Antonio.“
“This is my favorite place to get tacos. I rate based on how well the Bean and Cheese taste. If you can’t make a good bean and cheese are you even a Mexican restaurant. This is the spot to be at. Rosy the cashier is the sweetest lady ever. The Green salsa is the best I dip my taco that sauce. Must try you won’t be disappointed.“
“We have visited this restaurant multiple times and the personal weather they have a full house or a few they always provide good service. The food has good flavor and taste fresh made plus they are fast in serving. Wishing you keep your great service and food!“
“Gilbert was our server he was AMAZING! he took such good care of us and we appreciated him letting us sit and talk after getting the check. The restaurant was EXTREMELY loud, but we were seated behind a wall that helped eliminate the loud noise coming from the huge crowded space. There was so many big parties which also did not help the noise. The food was DELICIOUS! Drinks 10/10! Bartenders did their thing!!!“
“Not bad. Ordered the pancake plate with eggs and bacon. Unfortunately they forgot my bacon but did bring it when I informed them of it. The pancakes were rather thick not fluffy but good. Not bad place to eat, with decent prices.Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp for easy enter and exit.“
“Came in for some awesome green chile chicken enchiladas and a fantastic margarita. The bartender Alex was kind, welcoming, efficient and of course made good margaritas. He cared about everyone that was in today with his positive vibes and smile.“
“We sought out Henry's specifically for the puffy tacos when visiting San Antonio. The food did not disappoint and the service was friendly, helpful, and engaging. Great casual lunch. Our only complaint is that now they're a 14 hour drive away.“
“1st Time Here. Daughter of The lady that owns this Restaurant told me they are from Chicago Illinois?Took my Mom& Dad since they were visiting San Antonio. So I took them to Taco Rey?My mother is EXTREMELY VERY PICKY! I ask my Mom wow you have not made your FACES? She says because this place I really like ?I WILL BE “
“High pice tag. Probably double of Las palapas but one of the best mexican eateries. Tender beef and the chicken was absolutely amazing. I had just a salad this last round and it was quite possibly one of the better if not best salads I've had in a while.Parking: The number of times I've been parking was not a problem. But there is a number of parking slots.“
“Bartender was super busy when we walked in, but I prefer the bar so I was willing to wait. However, the managers (even the kitchen manager) were all involved in the shift and helped the Bartender and took care of us right away. Amazing team, great leadership. The kitchen manager even got us excited telling us different things about the menu and his passions. I'll be back time and time again after an experience like this. Roberts margaritas were 10/10. As a restaurant manager myself it was just awesome to watch. Your kitchen manager was the highlight of my visit. Bar service was excellent“
“Every time I visit San Antonio I try to eat here. It’s always delicious, great customer service and fair prices. The staff is always bubbly and friendly. The food is authentic and delicious. I’m picky about my Menudo and it’s delicious. Also they have their own parking lot and street parking is plentiful. I would recommend this place.“
“My friend told me about this place because his mom owns it. I have to say it was great because I received exceptional service and great food at a great price. I got the chorizo and egg plate which came with fried potatoes beans and tortillas that were homemade. Definitely a spot you need to check out. Also the plate cost less than $8 which is very reasonable.“
“Have visited this location multiple times and my husband and I have always had a great experience. Food is delicious and the drinks are excellent! If you visit, ask for Patrick! Best serve we've had, he had such an amazing attitude and was so attentive. He made our date night even better!“
“Owners were great , staff was very friendly, food is just a hidden gem of a menu.Making everything from scratch, including the black pepper, seems like no easy feet in that teeny tiny kitchen!Vegetarian options: Faux-jita option is literally the best,“
“Me, hubby and my adult child ate here while In SA! I got the Salad with chicken. I don't remember the name but Asian style. The chicken in the salad was so tasty and so was the dressing! I'm very finicky about my dressing and my chicken! The guys got chicken strips with different sauces !! Again- I am very finicky about sauces !! I was shocked that I loved all the sauces they got !!! We ordered fried mushrooms and they came with a ranch-dill type dressing SO freaking yummy!! And I don't like ranch dressing!! Give this place a try !! You're sure to like it !!“
“Rios Barbacoa is a fantastic place to get good authentic Mexican food. The barbacoa is very juicy, the salsa is perfect, the charro beans are literally TO DIE FOR, and the pork tamales will make you want to stuff your face with an endless supply. I can tell they take pride in their food and the customer service is superb. I will always stop here when I'm in San Antonio.“
“Good morning., food is great they have the nopales tacos. Rico. , Service is amigable y amables. ., ambiance is great nice decoration. We here for market day and enjoy the food. You can look for me at YouTube Alicia Harp . With Múltiple Choices selling Farmasi,Scentsy and more.“
“Tacos were great! Staff was great and helpful with recommendations! We had the Trailer park taco trashy, Migas, the beef fajita, chicken fajita and the Crosswords tacos... they were all DELICIOUS!!! Couldn't finish, took to go. I highly recommend!!!“
“Place feels comfortable, very friendly and was suggested different plates with the yumminess behind each one. This is what a chose had I never heard nor tried and let me tell you it was hands down delicious tried with both green and red salsa. Must try it public.. my opinion.. no regrets but truly a good size plate. Bon appetit to the the next“
“Something about ordering at the cash register is always a bit weird, but for Torchy’s, it works. Top notch food and excellent beer pours. Margaritas were mixed well, and the patio for hanging with friends for 3 hours was top notch. I have yet to order a dish there that I don’t like.“
“I'll be back to try more! On the recommendation of a friend, I had the tacos de lengua guisada. Anyone who likes lengua knows that you take a big chance at a new place. Mary Lou's did not disappoint. Lengua is tender and flavorful. Tortillas are are a 10/10. Go see for yourself!“
