“Stoped there for a brunch in between business meetings. Food was great. Service was a little less than one would expect, but it was just what my party needed (They left us alone as we worked on their WiFi to catch up on some items…until we asked for service.)“
“Best French toast I've had in SUCH a long time. Holy cow I'm not sure what it is that they're putting in their bread but it's everything you need. I also tried a few of their Pastries but unfortunately don't have pictures of anything besides the Concha. I come from the valley and I'm not used to these types of conchas, so they were a little funky to me if I'm being honest. But other than that, everything was great.“
“Staff was super friendly. Ordered the chicharrón en salsa verde and carne asada quesadillas and they were both very tasty. Not to say those extra sauces were so good. Clean facility, nice ambiance, worth every penny. Will definitely be back.“
“Guys definitely recommend this place. As soon as you come in you see all their cute and artisan tableware. We were greeted by the sweetest server as well. They had big food portions and weren't even able to finish all our food. They make their tortillas and bread at the restaurant. Greatly recommend their tortas they are delicious ? their tacos were huge too! ? they do offer mixed drinks and karaoke after 5 till they close so go on over and show some support to this small bussiness.“
“I found this place on Instagram and am very pleased with our first visit. We came for my husbands birthday and were not disappointed. The food is amazing, the staff was friendly and the drinks were top notch ?. I will definitely be back soon. Try the Aguas Locas.“
“Food is consistently good. Very good flavor and quick service. I enjoy the Baja Fish Tacos the best and get it almost everytime I go. The restaurant is small and nothing special to see but for a quick bite it is a nice stop. The employees have always been very nice and helpful. Highly recommend as a place to go.“
“Had the combo 3 beef enchiladas with alambre taco. Everything was excellent and athey had a good selection of different salsas to try. The dining area is small and the place was busy at lunch time. Ordered to go because there weren’t any tables available.“
“This place was awesome! Glad I made the trip. The line was long but moved pretty fast. The cooks are just whipping Tacos out. I tried 1 of everything… Chorizo, Tripas, Cabeza, Lengua, Bisket, Al Pastor. They were all delicious. The only one I would go back for is Lengua. The service was attentive and the salsa for the tacos were spicy and delicious. It’s pretty wild though! Worth it.“
“Service was amazing the waiter Mo was very attentive and there was also other employees who would ensure we are being taken of. The only downside was the food temperature when being served everything we ordered felt lukewarm. Cocktails were excellent as well.“
“Went here to pick up some food online ordering was super convenient as soon as we arrived we were handed our food in drive thru. Arrived home our food was still hot the quesabirria were amazing!!! I had been looking for a go to place for birria and finally found it hubby got mini tacos and those were also so good! They had all the fixings and were stuffed. Will be going back!! Prices are also very reasonable 10/10“
“As soon as you walk in, they make you feel like family! Small but cozy place . If a big table is available, they will ask you if it's OK to share the extra space with other patrons if they're willing as well before just sitting them down without ask first. Parking is very limited as well, but we have been lucky to get parking! It is a must place to try if you haven't tried it yet!“
“This taco truck was absolutely delicious! My husband and I were visiting San Antonio and found this place. Their tacos are amazing, probably some of the best tacos I’ve had in San Antonio. I have not had tacos that good in a long time. The tortillas that they use for their tacos are the cherry on top for me. We tried the tacos with the queso and our choice of filling. Their lemonade was very good too!“
“Well, we’re over from England celebrating my 70th birthday and the meal here this evening was easily the best by far. It will not and cannot be exceeded for the rest of our three week trip. The rib-eye was so well cooked and the mushrooms were elevated to a flavour level that I didn’t think mushrooms could reach. My wife’s fish tacos were equally as wonderful and have been recorded as having reached legendary status. Edward the chef and joint owner has a superb palate and clearly knows how to put a dish together. We’re leaving first thing tomorrow morning. If we weren’t we’d be back. Too late to change our plans. What a shame.Just go and go again. This has been the highlight of dining out not just of this trip but perhaps of all time.“
“Hidden gem on the north side of town! May very well be the best tacos I’ve had in town. Had the mini taco plate with a combination of tacos - Pastor, Asada, Chicken, and Chorizo. Pastor was killer.Great friendly service, quality food, and clean restaurant. This is a must try and this will remain on my food rotation for sure.“
“Great food and service, best flan in San Antonio.Dietary restrictions: If you have a food allergy and let them know it will be added to the ticket for cook to seeParking: Decent park lot. Would probably get packed during surgeKid-friendliness: Good environment for kids but more of an adult crowd.“
“A friend and I stopped here while we were taking a walk in the neighborhood. The food was delicious, and the portions were excellent. I had mini tacos ,and my friend had a special .It's moderately priced , the restaurant was clean( restrooms included), and the staff was attentive. It's right in the middle of Hildebrand, so it might be missed. There was a crowd of people eating there, so that's a good thing .“
“?The only thing I would change is the attitude of the guy who was in the window for drinks. He had the ugliest attitude and RBF when I greeted him and then at the end of our purchase …. Gave us prayer hands and said enjoy…. ???… how are you gunna be rude and have an ugly attitude and then throw prayer hands at the end…… anyways, hope he finds another job cuz I would have enjoyed that place so much more without the fake namaste attitude lol?AND THE DRINKS? Overpriced … 2 drinks came out to roughly $35…. For a kombucha and a 10mg THC drink…. -_-✨However, the ladies at the food truck though… THEY WERE ALL COOL AF. And the food was ON POINT! :)✨“
“I visited for the first time last Sunday and took my son and granddaughter. I had birria tacos, my son had street tacos and my granddaughter had bean and cheese tacos. The food was authentic in preparation and presentation. The interior decor is what you’d see in an authentic Mexican restaurant serving on clay pottery. I recommend you give it a try. The birria tacos were huge with delicious tender beef. Goat is available also.Parking: Free parking directly out frontKid-friendliness: Family friendly, lots of families there.“
“So delicious! We have been looking for a new regular place and this place hit the spot. The owners were so nice and welcoming, we had the enchiladas and the carne guisada which were so good. Tortillas were perfect and the chips and salsa were also delicious. Can’t wait to come back!“
“!! Great experience, everyone very friendly!! The kids ate chicken and fajitas and I had a delicious barbecue! Great beans and rice!! If you don't know what to eat, 100% recommended!! (First time we eat here, we came to visit San Antonio!)“
“Best Birria tacos in town hands down! I drove all the way from Harlingen, after I found out about this amazing restaurant! It was the best Birria tacos I've ever had! The atmosphere was very calm and relaxing. The music was even better! The staff is very sweet and attentive! Love love love! Highly reccomend!!!“
“San Taco has some of the best authentic Mexican food and service in San Antonio. A HIDDEN GEM. The restaurant is well kept and clean. Limited indoor seating and parking. I ordered a frijolitos con veneno, chilaquiles san taco, tacos, and a cafe de olla. The food came out fast and fresh. Everything tasted amazing. I also got free churros. The prices are also great. Cant wait to come back and try more!“
“This is the reason I visit San Antonio. I live for the world’s best Al Pastor, it’s here!! I’ve tried all pastor all over the US, nothing compares. Thank you for your amazing recipe. The strawberry horchata was good. Of course, I will visit each time I’m in San Antonio!!!!“
“Being from Chicago we found this place and OMG these were ?. We ordered individual tacos and by the pound. The best one I had was the pork belly taco. All tacos are huge and can easily make 2 or 3 our of 1 taco. Salsas cilantro and cebollas come on the side. I will definitely recommend ?“
“Cuishe Is Not Tex Mex but authentic interior Mexican food by the folks that own Toro in same complex. Amazing flavors and truly hard to find items like guacamole with bugs...yes bugs crispy and toasty bites of pure protein, even my kiddo loves them! Be adventurous and try a taste of something new and authentic...ps great for date night with best tequila happy hour in SA!“
“When we walked in we were greeted by Tay she was nice and answered all the questions we had as it was our first time. Adara was sweet and remade one of our items and brought it out and apologized for the miss hap. Over all it was a great experience and we know next time we can share because it was ALOT of food!!“
“The food was hot and delicious. Everything was fresh including the sweet tea. We had the carne enchiladas and chicken flautas. The enchiladas were tender and cheesy with a great tast and not so strong on the spices. The flautas were crispy and chicken was good. The beans were creamy and flavorful. The rice was great and the tortillas were amazing. What's crazy about this visit is that there were no other customers dining in or walked in during the duration of our entire visit. Service was great.“
“OMG this place is an amazing place to eat. Their specials are very affordable. The food is so delicious the kindness of EVERYONE ? are ALWAYS ? smile's. You NEVER need to get up to get a refill or coffee or tea. They don't have to but they ALWAYS give our Granddaughter cookies on the way out. It's a great place.Kid-friendliness: ALWAYS makes conversation with us and our Granddaughter. Some mornings our youngest daughter calls me and says Mama you wanna do Nadines??? I'm like yeaaaah. So anyone looking for a down to earth place to eat where you don't have to flag down your waitress for refills or extra tortillas or anything at all it's a wonderful restaurant and we all recommend this place to everyone.“
“We'd tried to go here another time but they were closed and I was sad that I didn't get the try it. The building looks like they are closing down but never fret. This time they looked closed but I stuck my head in and asked if they were open and the guy behind the counter said yes so we went in! The guy was also our server and the food was AMAZING!! We will definitely be going back.“
“The food was a little above average it wasn't anything special. We stopped by this place last night after dropping off my wifes family. We were exhausted after a long day at Fiesta Texas and we were hungry. So I went on Google maps to find a Mexican restaurant and this restaurant had a 4.7 review rating. So we decided to give it a try. The nachos we ordered were good the only thing I didn't care for was they turned soggy very quickly. The caldo de pollo I ordered was very delicious. What stood out about this restaurant was the customer service and the attentiveness of the owner. He was very kind and explained everything to us. I would definitely come back to this restaurant just because of the customer service. Thank you Ernesto for feeding me and my family!!!“
“Food was great. They listened and implemented any special requests. The drive-thru option is a good add but it can be a bit slow compared to a dedicated “fast-food” restaurant. I am glad that they have the option though as it can be convenient when I’m on the go.“
“Hadn't been here in years as it is a ways away from where I live. I was wanting some grilled chicken. Had to come here as it is the best!! Had the half grilled chicken with rice and beans. It was delicious! And that green sauce has the best flavor! Stayed away to long.“
“Absolutely amazing restaurant!Got seated right away even though we didn’t have a reservation, the waitress was very attentive and answered all our questions. The food was delicious, great taste and presentation and love that the water is infused with cucumber and lime! The drinks were spot on! Got El Diablo and Aguamala which had their own unique taste, one gave a kick of spice and the other a Smokey flavor. I would recommend this place for a cute date night or even wanting to try something new!The birria flautas were spot on! Very flavorful and mouth watering“
“My family ate at the original La Fonda Oak Hills when I was growing up.My mom and I tried Maria Bonita and were really pleased.First, MB kept most of the MCM décor. The food and the staff are outstanding.MB's is now my go-to restaurant for Tex-Mex.This place is a gem.“
“I went Friday night w/ my 17 year old niece, my 2 year old daughter & my mom. Fod is great especially the Gorditas! I absolutely LOVED them!! The Atmosphere, not so much. Totally not a family/ kid friendly type of place. It’s located within the same spot of an outside bar. There is no restrooms pretty much unless your 21+ or else your going to need to drive down the street. Besides that, GREAT GORDITAS :)!!“
“We were tourists at Texas and this was a recommended place by our shuttle driver.Since the moment we walked in the atmosphere was amazing, live music and great service. Our server Kristina was amazing and very attentive. She always checked up on us and she made sure we had everything we needed. Even the manager Mario came and paid a visit to our table to make sure we were doing okay.Excellent food and customer service. ?“
“Amazing. Loved the mini tacos I ordered. I got 5 minis for $10. One order of chicken and the other of cabeza. I looked at the menu while waiting and the items look appetizing. Wonderful service and a very clean restaurant. Highly recommend. Affordable and delicious.“
“They do one thing, and they do it well. The al pastor tacos are cooked correct and they are the same size as you would find on a street cart in Mexico. They have Coke in a glass bottle and they found a way to make Flan even more delicious that usual, adding cajeta should be the new standard!! I'll be back every time I'm in town!!“
“This is a food truck. I don't think it is going to move anytime soon. The gorditas are excellent... I had the asada. They have a couple of picnic tables set up with shade. There was no line to wait to order when I was there. Jones Maltzberger near Wurzbach.“
“Great place to go. You can feed one to a family of four. Not much to choose from which makes it easier. There are burgers and fries for the kids but the name of the place is what you go for. My go to is the meal for two people with half a chicken, beef fajitas half a pound, and a sausage. Yum! Along with it is a side of charro beans, rice, and corn tortillas. I’m not a drinker so for those looking for a beer and dinner this is not the place for it. Family friendly. They do have two locations on Culebra, the newer place is less busy. Must check it out. I think the food is moderately priced. The meal for two, I pay $30 before tip.I’ll post a pic if I find one. I forgot to take one when I was there for dinner 7/25/23.Kid-friendliness: High chairs and noise is welcome.Parking: If it’s busy remember there is another location maybe six blocks down the road on Culebra and Colorado.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy accessible parking and entrance.“
“I will definitely go back for more! Two tacos for less than $4 Wow! I usually buy a bacon & egg taco & a bean & cheese taco for breakfast. These were delicious & the bean & cheese taco was a big fat taco. I’m glad to finally see that, because it’s probably one of the cheapest taco to make, but not all places make it this way. The flour tortillas are big n fluffy too! Gotta try more food here! Beautiful pan dulce in the case also. Lots of items to taste.“
“I only come here for the breakfast tacos as it's close to my work. That said, the breakfast tacos are excellent! Tacos are full and loaded - they don't skimp - and the ingredients are quality and fresh. Large cup of red salsa is given also. Good service, reasonable wait time and price. Definitely recommend“
“We were initially looking for a Mexican riverwalk restaurant but I looked on yelp and this restaurant popped as a highly recommended. It was not a disappointment, it was amazing on all levels. Will be back again when we come back to San Antonio.“
“The most delicious quesadillas I have eaten so far in SA, my favorites are the ones with huitlacoche, pumpkin flower and pressed chicharrón.Abi and Berenice are very nice, always friendly and smiling, and the latter cooks deliciously. ?Kid-friendliness: The menu is also suitable for children.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp and enough space.“
“The owner and staff know that food is love . Very friendly and welcoming actually making the good taste better. Love the chicken fried steak and onion rings. My wife loves the Green chicken enchiladas. Parking can be hard but it's worth the trouble. Better is a dinner of bitter herbs where love is then a feast where hatred is.“
“Absolutely amazing food quality and in today's world not only was the food quality amazing, the service was stupendous, but the prices were absolutely affordable, and in today's world it is impossible to find a restaurant that has decent prices, with horrible food and trash as service. I must complement the owner, manager, staff, and kitchen crew, it has quickly become my favorite Hispanic restaurant I have ever eaten at!!! Great job I truly loved the experience!!!“
“So happy that I saw this food truck through the Netflix series and decided that if I was ever in the area I definitely wanted to eat there. Well that took a while, but it was definitely worth the wait! WOW WOW how delicious and especially that brisket ??!!!!“
“Friendly staff who greet you as soon as you walk in. Walk in to go orders are made fresh sonthey take a bit but honestly it's not a super long wait. Classic burger is delicious and a decent size. The pollo asado is to die for! We live close enough to smell it and yes, it's as good as it smells.“
“Came across this taco truck on a late night coming in from Dallas. The tacos were fresh from the grill. The guy who took our order was patient and nice. The food truck does take cards and there was parking. There are also tables for you to eat by the truck. They also had a tv playing Sponge Bob. If you're ever in town come try them out. You won't be disappointed.“
“What the heck, I mean it. Had the chipotle chicken enchiladas. So creamy and flavorful. Never had anything like this up north. We had shrimp nachos and the salsa was unusual (for someone from up north) but super tasty. I hope to go back someday. But for now, I'll always long for this place in San Antonio.“
