“Excellent food, reasonable prices, and great service! Only thing to note is that it’s drive through only. There are no tables inside or outside to eat at. They pack up your food very conveniently with disposable cutlery though so it’s easy to eat anywhere.“

“This was my family and I's first time to this location and what a nice experience it was. Maria was so wonderful, I wanted a cup of menudo with no meat just the juice and hominy and that's exactly what I got, other places tell me they can't do it but she went out of her way to deliver what I wanted. The service was excellent, coffees kept getting refilled. My family and I will definitely be returning.“

“Heading back from South Padre we decided to give this place a shot. It's a simple restaurant with a small menu. The food was amazing! I ordered chilaquiles and a picadillo with cheese taco on the side. When the food came out, WOW! The taco was huge! It was at least 12 inches long and nice and full. The chilaquiles and picadillo was so good. I highly recommend giving this place a shot for breakfast.“

“It feels like family when we're there. Never disappointed. Food is awesome; the ladies and Jerry and Elias are super. The owner Willie is present and I love that he goes around greeting everyone. They are always so friendly and kind to all and they have a positive attitude which makes the atmosphere there welcoming. We tell all our friends about this place.

“1000% yes! I'm not really a red meat eater but I do eat carne picada/molida. The first time we went to eat I asked if they could make carne picada tacos and cookie said "yes of course". My family and myself have been going ever since! Cookie and her staff are the BEST and their tacos, frijoles and the agua de melon NEVER disappoint! We always feel welcomed like family! Thank you Cookie! ❤️😊“

“If I’m going to a hole in the wall taqueria all the way in San Benito…you better believe it’s because the food is worth it! While the bistek tacos can have a little bit of pieces of fat here and there, the complimentary charro beans make up for that. The charro bean flavor is delicious and the salsas add on that extra heat without losing flavor. But what you really want to do is go in the morning and get their Leo’s Especial. 10.99 for 4 fat (and yummy) barbacoa tacos made with homemade corn tortillas! and a bowl of - that’s right, BOWL not cup! - yummy menudo. While the menudo is good, I cannot get over the amazing barbacoa tacos! Service is okay and so is atmosphere but honestly you’ll forget about all that once you try the food.“

“This was a by chance looked for a restaurant on Google and glad I came by. This is a little hidden Gem a little ho-jo in the wall great breakfast decent prices, good food, I yet have to try other dishes. Staff was very friendly. My waitress was a elderly lady named Isabel she was an amazing lady she is very hospitable and we enjoyed her company.“

“This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the valley. Everything is taste and the prices are not high. We got an agua de horchata and an agua de melón. We got nichos with cheese and steak as an apetizer. The. We got a torta and a hige chicken taco which name I cannot remember. We were also served charro beans in the beginning. Everything came out to forty something dollars. Everything taste good including the drinks. What I also like is that they close until 10pm and they only close Sundays. When ever I go pick up my sister and brother in lawn at the harlingen airport we go eat st Taqueria Jalisco.“

“I highly recommend this place to eat. The brisket is so flavorful and fresh. We order the botana for 2, it could feed 3-4. We had nothing to take in a to go box! The drinks are also good and they have AWESOME sweet tea. I wish I found this place sooner.“

“The food is always good. The service ALWAYS takes so long. It’s unstructured and you constantly have to wave to get their attention. Although the atmosphere is great, the owner really needs to work on faster customer service and better organization with the staff. Shout out to the cooks!!! :)“
