“Despite a terrible experience I had at this restaurant from a very horrible waitress with a nasty attitude, the manager, Charlie Bowie really stepped in and took the correct approach necessary to resolve this issue for me and took it in consideration that something like this would never happen again. Based on my conversation with him, he really values customer service. Which makes me want to go back and eat there again in the near future. This is exactly the kind of mindset every managers and business owners should portray and I comment Topwater Grill to have this kind of management. Thanks so much! Definitely planning on going back there again! 😊“

“Great little spot to sit on the patio and enjoy a breeze. Had some fun live music. Margaritas were strong and overall just a neat place. Gumbo is a very dark and thick roux. Nice assortment of grilled oysters. Oysters Gilhooley are the best IMO - keep it simple.“

“I had a terrific experience Tookie's Seafood restaurant. It's now my go-to place in the Kemah area. The service and food were spectacular. I highly recommend going y to dine here. I was so impressed I just called for Christmas gift cards and spoke to Jared King. He did such a fabulous job on one $50 gift card with adding 10 extra dollars for free that I ordered another one for my nephew. I live out of town so Jared is mailing them in the morning to my friends and family. I couldn't be happier. Haley and Skyler also helped in the process. It was such a wonderful experience. “The food was excellent but don't save space for a dessert. Eat all your great food because desserts are Only $10 which sounds like a deal but you only get 2 or 3 bites. It is really a shame because the food is great so you would think the desserts would be too!!!! I personally felt a little rushed by the wait staff and the waitress even told us she had another table and had to hurry off.“

“My husband and I had Brunch at The Backyard for the second time recently and it once again did not disappoint. We have definitely made it our new spot! The service is sooo kind and friendly. The food is SOOO amazing. The drinks are fresh and well sized. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners Chris & Shelby on our first visit. They are definitely what you look for in an establishment. I highly recommend Sunday funday brunch here! Even if you brunch with the family. Great spot! Great people!“

“The meat was dry and a bit bland. The brisket was a weird square shape as well, usually it's shaped like bacon. The meat tasted like it was cooked in an oven and then finished on the smoker.

They had an all you can eat (AYCE) option as well but the normal 2 meat portion was more then plenty.

The people were super friendly, the portions were good and the atmosphere was nice so overall I would go back if I was nearby but I wouldn't drive out of my way.

One more thing, be prepared to smell like a smokehouse if you eat inside.“

“We were driving by Kemah and decided to stop by for a beer. We walked around the various bars in the area, and most of them were very empty, probably because it was still early (around 630p) on a Saturday night. But when we walked past this place, it was buzzing. There were 3 or 4 small groups in their outdoor terrace, and you could feel the energy. Music was playing but not getting much in the way of conversation, so it was a nice atmosphere. We went inside to grab a beer. The bartender was busy, and when we asked about their IPA beers, she said we should look at the board. The electronic beer menu was flipping fast, so I could not quite go through one page before it got changed. We saw one we wanted to try, but after she walked back to the tap, she returned and let us know they were out. We finally got one we liked after a second try. We then walked out to the patio where the atmosphere was a bit more fun.

Of the places in the three blocks we walked, this seemed the most fun. If it was not for the electronic beer menu changing on me, I would give it 5 stars.“

“What can I say!! This is one of the best restaurants we have eaten at in a while! It is a little hidden gem!! Everything has such great flavor !! The Gumbo is fantastic and the chicken and the pecan praline waffle is out of this world!! You definitely will not be disappointed with anything!! The chicken fried steak? Unreal. Perfectly crispy, super tender, and that gravy on top is just next level. You can tell everything’s made with care, not just thrown together. It’s honestly hard to find places like this these days. If you're into real, solid breakfast food that tastes homemade, you gotta check this place out. Total hidden gem. “Over the past year and a half, my friends and I have gone to Cabo at least a couple of times a month. It's our go-to for holidays, birthdays, and perfect for enjoying a sunny day by the lake! The food has always been amazing, the drinks are tasty, and both the bar service and waitstaff are fantastic! Try the steaks on Thursday nights- they're always cooked just right, and the mac and cheese is sooooo good! 😋 (I'm low key obsessed with mac and cheese, and will totally judge a place by it! 🤣)“
