“The quality of the food was excellent. Vegetables were slightly crisp. Not over cooked. Even the deep-fried eggroll was pretty good. I don't usually care for them. I had cashew chicken. The flavor of every ingredient was very nice.
I gave them 5 stars for having one of the cleanest restrooms I've seen in a Chinese restaurant a long time.“

“I resisted going here due to previous reviews but due to inclimate weather, I didn't want to be traveling to a further location I usually go to. I was pleasantly surprised up on entering. The dining area was fairly large and quite attractive. All areas were clean. The food was freshly made and presented well. The workers did a good job with their service. The food was tasty. No problems at all. We will be going back to this location, again.“

“Kola was great we came in for a day date after picking up our marriage license to celebrate. She was so attentive kept the table clean as she would bring out a new dish never had to wonder where our waitress was very polite and professional. Will absolutely be back for next date night! Its so good, my fave is the sweet n sour chix and babes is the São dude you gotta go if u havent already its a weekly staple and i hate buying food, i usually cook but nothing has been as good as this for lookong forward to the weekend. Kudos restaurant team so delicious!! Always a treat ;)

Had another of the sweet and sour chix and it was the best yet. Its always crispy and the white rice is so awesome. Their egg rolls n sauce that comes with it is also a favorite. Fried basil leaves is a fun one too. Thier wonton soup helped me when I was sick and couldnt eat super solid foods :) glad they are fast and awesome, friendly thank you again team.“

“1st time here. The service was good. I ordered the sweet & spicy shrimp and pork dumplings.And beef noodles. With Strawberry tea. They give you water infused with lemon.on the side. All In all , food was good along with the service. If your in the mood for dumplings this is the spot. They have a huge variety.“

“I can’t believe I slept on Pei Wei for this long.

Stopped in recently and tried the Firecracker Tofu bowl and yeah… it did what it needed to do. The tofu was actually crispy (not that sad, soggy situation some places try to pass off), and the spice level had a nice kick without taking me out. I like heat, but I also like tasting my food — this was balanced.

I was pleasantly surprised by how many plant powered options they had. It didn’t feel like an afterthought. You can tell it’s actually part of the menu, not just “here’s plain vegetables, good luck.” I already have my eye on a couple other tofu bowls for next time.

The place was clean, service was easy and friendly, and everything came out quick. Solid experience all around. Definitely adding this into my rotation when I want something fast but still flavorful.

“It’s our first time eating here and we love the atmosphere and specially the food. Our waitress is very kind, accommodating and she knows the menu well. We celebrated Father’s Day here with our youngest son the foods and the service exceed our expectation. This restaurant is highly recommended and definitely will be back.“

“This does not look like much from the street - but the food is incredible! There are many options, but we focused on the hand-pulled noodles and they did not disappoint. We split oil splashed noodles and the big platter chicken - but also tried some hot and sour soup and some dumplings. It was all very flavorful and had a good spice level. The portions are large. Prices are very reasonable.

We took an extra order of the oil splashed noodles home and fried them up with some eggs the next morning. This is a dish that reheats well. So good!

I'm not Chinese, but I felt this was highly authentic food. Service was great. We will be back.“

“This has been on my list of want to go to Houston restaurants for ages, and after finally going today I’m sad I didn’t go earlier. Food was delicious (soup dumplings and tofu skin wrap) and the staff were really nice. A really rude Karen type customer came in while I was eating and I was impressed by how pleasant the staff were to her. I wouldn’t have had the patience for a customer like that (I guess that’s why I don’t own a restaurant), but they were great. Excited to return and try other dishes!“

“I have really fallen in love with this place! The food is great! Customer service is exceptional. Clean and friendly environment and very cute decor. I have recently been hooked on the sweet and sour chicken because the sauce is great but the chicken is very tasteful and has the perfect crunch. Egg drop soup is one of a kind! Egg rolls and cheese puffs are super scrumptious. Tea is good! Rice may look a little different but is actually really really good. I truely feel like a valued customer when I come.“

“This is my favorite place to eat Chinese for the past year. Unbeatable prices and huge portions. Every time I go, it's full of Hispanics. They know the best deal in town and so do I! I always get their mushroom chicken which comes with plenty of spinach and meat. Huge portions. No need to tip as they usually have tip built in.“

You start with a chicken dish (we got medium spice/size) and it was more than enough for two people to share. The flavor was phenomenal. I particularly liked the onions. After you finish your first dish, they come by and fill your bowl with chicken broth, turning it into a delicious hot pot. All sides you can add on are generous as well. “A couple of years ago, there was restaurant food and there was food truck food. The places on wheels somehow had more boldness to make wacky stuff that didn’t seem like it should go together, but once I’d bite into it, I was like YESS!

Fat Bao is that same formula but with a bathroom and no wheels.

All kinds of weird flavor combos that seem unfitting until you try. I’m convinced that every one of their little baos are fire because I didn’t have a single bite that disappointed. The onion rings were unreal too.

We had the sesame tofu, and we also had the sole fish fillet fried, which was so nice and crispy and flavorful. We also got the general chicken as well and they make it better than most places. It was super crispy and just the right amount of sweet and spicy. I also really like the vibes of the inside reminds me of The Chinese restaurants in the late 90s/early 2000s.“

The eggplant was easily my favorite. It was perfectly cooked and honestly unforgettable. The Cornish hen was also excellent, juicy, well seasoned, and clearly made with care. The hot sauce deserves a special mention too. It had just the right amount of heat and complemented the food perfectly.

* Fried flat noodle with beef was outstanding, with tender slices of beef and noodles perfectly stir-fried with that signature smoky wok aroma.
* Sweet and sour spare ribs were another highlight—crispy, tangy, and just the right touch of sweetness.
* Stir-fried mixed chive flower with dry squid, shrimp, and chicken—so unique, packed with flavor, and everything was cooked just right. It had that amazing balance of textures and freshness you only get at really authentic Cantonese spots.

It’s not a fancy place, but the food here easily beats a lot of the bigger-name restaurants. Definitely one of those spots you’re glad to stumble upon and can’t wait to come back to!“

“Returned to Le Lai after a long absence. Quality of food still amazing. Mainly, proper Cantonese style cuisine. Service is generally fast and reliable. On the off chance, you walk in and you feel that you just walked into a reserved part of six tables.. if you decide to remain patient then you’re in for a wonderful treat of a good dinner that will satisfy your tum tums.

Orders came out takeover fast considering they had a huge part of guests where dishes on each table were pleasing and aromatic just tantalizing your own tastebuds.

We ordered Kung Pao shrimp, black pepper chicken, vegetable egg roll, chicken egg roll, wonton soup. All were really delicious. Shaken beef, teriyaki chicken, and the vegetables were nice also. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable. Nice background music and easy to converse at the table. Highly recommend this place for dine-in or takeout.
