“I experienced their donuts at a Lunar New Year event at Flow Yoga. I’m not usually a donut fan, but gave these a try. They are denser than typical, much closer to the ones my mom used to make. The flavors were so good! I got the tea infused one, the black sesame seed one, the yuzu and the mandarin. They were all delicious! If you need a new donut assortment for your next gathering, get these. “Best donuts that I have had in Austin. This is a simple neighborhood donut shop that hits above its class. The classic glaze and coconut are my favorite. This place still uses butter! You can taste it in their product. Everyone in south east Austin should make this place their go to.“

“We ordered conchas from Abuelita’s Bakery Spot for our wedding, and they were an absolute hit! So many of our guests came up to us throughout the night to tell us how delicious they were. They ended up being one of the most talked-about desserts of the evening.

The team at Abuelita’s Bakery Spot was wonderful to work with from the beginning. Our point of contact even set up a tasting for us months in advance, which gave us the chance to try everything and talk about how we wanted the conchas to look for our wedding. One of the things that really stood out was how they were able to customize the sugar topping colors to match our wedding perfectly. Our colors were lavender and sage green, and they did an amazing job matching them. The conchas looked beautiful and tied in perfectly with our wedding aesthetic.

We ordered 300 conchas, and they were so good that there were barely any left by the end of the night. Guests kept going back for more, and we were even sharing them with our vendors because we wanted everyone to try them!

Pickup was very easy as well. Everything was boxed and organized, making it simple for us to transport them to the venue.

Overall, we had a fantastic experience with Abuelita’s Bakery Spot. The conchas were delicious, beautifully made, and such a fun and unique dessert option for our wedding. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for amazing baked goods for an event!“

“Olga is the best baker in all of Austin! She is endlessly creative in the flavors and designs she creates. We had to reschedule our big wedding for July 2021, but she still made us a cake for our minimony on our original wedding date of June 2020 and we were so grateful for that. We finally got to have our big celebration and she put together a dreamy dessert spread for us -- a modern bride’s cake, a realistic drum groom’s cake (my husband is a band director and he was so excited about his cake), mini cupcakes in four flavors and two kinds of cookies. It looked beautiful and tasted delicious -- guests were telling me how much they enjoyed the sweets and wanted to know where they were from. The cherry on top is that Olga is one of the sweetest people and kindest small business owners in town.
