“Super cute and adorable place! There aren’t any food pics coz it was gone in 60 seconds!?It was really good. Next time, we decided to order and eat there. So glad it’s closer to our house. It’s a hidden gem and an asset to ‘The Colony’ for sure!Vegetarian options: There are limited yet good Vegetarian options“
“The bowls are tasty and portioned very well. The combinations you can do will please everybody. We've gone to another location in plano and never went back. We decided to try them again since we moved and this location is great. We've eaten in once but lately we've been doing take out. Definitely recommend trying this place.“
“I came with my family for my dad's birthday and the dinner was amazing. We asked our server Esther for recommendations and she recommended the boiled pork belly, seafood pancake, pork backbone hot pot, and mungbean with brisket. Everything tasted so good! We loved the food and the service. Definitely chose a great spot especially for a birthday dinner.“
“This is a Korean bar with some excellent food and drink options. They have 6-7 beers on draft including Blue Moon, Shiner and a couple of local breweries. They also have a variety of Korean beers.Their cocktail selection looked very good but didn’t get a chance to try that. The fried chicken was very good. Many different levels of heat and it was deliciousThe service is a bit slow but it is also very laid back - very good if you want to sit and chatVegetarian options: Very limited options for vegetariansParking: Lot of parking spots close to the restaurant“
“You will know what the true taste of gomtang is. However, it is unfortunate that there are still many people who do not know the difference between seolleongtang and gomtang. There are too many people in Dallas who can't tell the difference between gomtang and seolleongtang, but can't tell the difference between jjajangmyeon and jjamppong. And the foods I personally recommend are shrimp paste and broiler soybean paste soup. Broiler chicken is a true work of art.“
“We come here quite frequently and have turned a lot of people on to Aris. We had a table of eight tonight and even though we had a couple of people who ware having their first experience with Aris, most of the people helping us ware really sweet and tried to help the best they could. We had a few people helping out our table, but the two I need to shout out are Adam and another lovely waitress who was smiling from ear to ear everytime she helped us (I unfortunately did not get her name). I believe she's newer as I have not seen her before and as I said, we frequent this place! Their service was amazing and the food was great! However, I will say that I am disappointed with the LA Galbi as it is nothing but fat and bones now and barely any meat. Also, the pork shoulder portions were a little smaller than usual and not as seasond. For the prices, I do wish the meat portion and quality were more consistent. Overall, everyone was satisfied and because of the beautiful smiling lady and the seriously hilarious Adam, we had an amazing night and we will definitely be back soon!Dietary restrictions: We have someone who is allergic to citrus and they did not have a flare up so that's a win! We also have someone who is Gluten Sensitive and they never have to worry about anything here.“
“I've been a regular at JC since grand opening and I consistently order the Galbi to go. Abundant meat for the price, the quality also shows in the taste. The right amount of char, flavor, and fat, it is some of the best galbi you can get in the area. Sode dishes are nothing crazy- a small portion of rice topped with fried egg and two gyozas. (Would prefer to have kimchi or other pickled vegetables to cut through richness of protein as opposed to more fat). Service is both kind and incredibly quick- never exceeds 10 minutes to prepare.“
“The chicken was good. However, I like mine fried hard but other than that it was seasoned well. If you’re not one who likes your chicken fried hard it’ll be perfect. I tried the lemon pepper wings and Parmesan fries.I got a 10 piece and fries AND PAID $20 and change, no drink. At least wingstop comes with a drink and a dipping sauce. I think the price could be lower but may be due to the current inflation in the world. The location surprised me. It’s inside of the Lewisville mall. However, you would enter through a grocery store that is now attached to the mall. Inside is a small food court.“
“UPDATE: I returned to the Yorienn Korean Fried Chicken and was pleasantly surprised to find out that they have a CHEF on staff who cooks up many other delicious entrees besides Korean fried chicken. Our waitresses, Jiwon and Jiyoung, were fantastic and patiently answered all our questions. The food was mouth-watering and delicious.Did I mention it was also snowing? We tried the Snow Cloud Dr Pepper and the RootBeer, which were good. They offer Snow Cloud with beer or any soft drink of your choice. It's a must-try drink. Please have a look at the pictures and menus below. It's an excellent spot for a date night...or ANY night!NO APRIL FOOLING HERE...JUST SCRUMPTIOUS WINGS!To clarify, I paid my bill at the restaurant at 10:08 PM on March 31st, 2024, and I plan to dine there again tomorrow evening, 4/1/2024, because the food is just DELICIOUS.Specifically, I ordered the Fried Chicken Wings with a thin batter and sauce on the side, choosing the Sweet Korean Soy Garlic flavor, along with French Fries. The wings were hot, crispy on the outside perfectly cooked, juicy, and tasteful on the inside. The fries were the best seasoned and battered fries I have ever tasted.I will return on Monday and try the Sweet Korean, Soy Garlic, Honey Garlic, and Sweet and Spicy sauces on my wings. My server, Myeongseong O, was excellent. He knew the menu, answered all my questions, and checked on me throughout dinner.Kid-friendliness: Families“
“It was a cold evening and I wanted something warm. Because I had never been here before, I asked for recommendations, and they recommended either seafood, chicken, or beef soup. I ordered seafood soup and it was amazing. It was the best seafood tofu soup that I have ever eaten. I will recommend this place to anyone.“
“A last minute, impulse date night! We came super last minute so it was kinda dead? But still good lol.Lots of positive! The menu was very simple with stellar favs and classics. I got the cold spicy noodles with beef. My fiancé got katsu. The portions were 10/10, a bit on the pricey end, but for the quality of food it was worth it.The lady at checkout was very nice and explained some of the dishes to us! She was super helpful and gave us her recommendations for first timers.“
“Our first dinner in Dallas! Cho Dang is known for their soft tofu soup and they certainly did not disappoint! My vegetarian daughter ordered the veggie version, my husband ordered the seafood, and I ordered the doenjang version (spicy level 4 out of 5). Both my husband and I love SPICY food so next time will likely order a level 5/5. Reserved a private dining room to accommodate a party of 10 and it was easy. We called ahead (around 1030am) for a 545pm reservation. Being Korean American, I've grown up eating delicious Korean food and this place hits the spot. Highly recommend!“
“You know it's great when you have mom in the back cooking an original recipe!!! Tried other KFC's in the area, and they can't compare to Toridori. I love fried chicken, but not that much until I tried their KFC, and now I'm hooked on going to this place regularly now. Boba, kimichi fries, curly fries, and more. Also, I never tried kimichi fries, but it didn't disappoint! I've had fried chicken from Italians, southern and Mexican, and I don't even miss them. I know my family and friends loved it too! Nice employees, relaxed spaced seating with a tall roof, makes it a decent place to study or hang out with friends. Great family run business!??“
“I’m a super fan of kimbap! Anyone who makes homemade kimbap knows it’s tedious so this semi fast food place comes in clutch. Not to mention that everything I’ve tried there is excellent and very fresh! They need to franchise this place or open up locations all around town!! Love this establishment.“
“Here's a revised version of your review:We had an amazing experience at Wave Bowl in Plano, Texas. The food was exceptional, and the service provided by Dan and Alyssa was outstanding—they were attentive and knowledgeable, addressing all our inquiries. The Asian fusion concept adds a unique flair to the dining experience. Located behind the former Chick-fil-A on Preston and the Tollway, it's definitely worth a visit!“
“I ordered the beef noodles. SOO good, I ordered it to go and it came piping hot with a side of kimchi. The noodles are creamy and silky texture! Love that! The broth is good quality but those noodles steal the show. Their kimchi is also really good. One of the best restaurant kimchi’s.“
“Visited this place from out of town with friends and ordered the smash burger, the honeymelon boba, the mango shake and shared the boneless chicken. Reasonably priced and food was tasty. Highly recommend the mango shake. Only drawback is that the dining hall isn't very big.“
“The chicken katsu sandwich was so good! I didn't know it came with a lot of sauce so I ordered a side of curry which I didn't need.I might try ordering it without the sandwich sauce next time and dipping it in curry instead but the sauce on the sando was really good.“
“The side dishes are so delicious that I go here every time I go to Dallas. I really like the combination of pig’s feet and makkimchi. It’s better than the jokbal restaurant. We live in the countryside, so we buy a lot at once, and they always provide great service and are very kind. The seasoned crab sauce is delicious, so I buy it often.“
“I love this place, the porridge is so good. It's also not a crowded place. I don't live in Dallas, but every time I come visit Dallas, I always make sure to come here during my visit. The porridge is different here than all the porridge I've ever eaten. It always comes out hot and fresh, although the wait is kind of long, it's worth it once your bowl comes out. No complaints, it's a small building only run by a few staff so be patient with them. I recommend coming here during cold season, always hits the spot.“
“The food and drinks were so good! I got the cheesy potato dog! Drinks are super good, I like the Kiwi lemonade and the Thai tea! genuinely the best I’ve ever had. Going back today!!Vegetarian options: They have a cheese and potato, just cheese, or just potato option for “hot dogs” they also have quite a few other vegetarian dishes as well!“
“Tasty meat, but small portions for the price. They had options where you can order meat groups depending on the size of your party. Each dish was a split of 2 to 3 pieces between our party of 3. It didn't really fill us up, so we had to order more.We thought we were going to be able to cook, but the server did it all for us. Which I mean, it could be a good thing or bad. We just felt a little rushed.Atmosphere is not bad, medium size restaurant. Quite enough, where you can hear the person next to you talk. Parking was okay, not plenty, but easy to find one.The food itself was good. Nice quality pork and beef meats. Although the kimchi soup did come out bubbling and hot. I didn't like the kimchi as it was a bit too sour for my taste. I would come back here if I was eating alone, but with a group, the portions sizes are not worth it.“
“I read a bunch of nice reviews of this place so I decided to check it out with my mom today. The complimentary side dishes were so well seasoned and delicious and the original flavor of pork ribs were amazing. The ribs were sweet and spicy with a smoky flavor. Absolutely delicious! We live out of town but we’ll definitely come back here with the rest of our family.“
“ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!I *never* review things but I just had to review this cute little store! This was my first time trying taiyaki, and it did not disappoint.Must try the nutella and custard filled taiyaki! The soft serve was amazing as well.“
“The lady at the counter was super nice and friendly, but the egg garlic toast sandwich I got was amazing! It was fluffy and airy, and was very filling. It’s such a simple sandwich, but it was so good. Definitely recommend this place if you’re at Zion Market or in the area.“
“Insane bang for your buck, especially with the 순대 dishes. We only paid $14 for 순대 볶음 and two people barely made a dent. It really feels like an authentic Korean place because they didn't even ask for tip! We made sure to leave a few dollars at the table.“
“Fast casual place.Good: Atmosphere is cool. Has the car/garage theme. Restroom clean! Food was tasty. Shrimp was delicious with the sauce but can add up as it’s $2 each. Tofu hibachi grill was good and came with two different sauces to try out. Wow bowl chicken was cooked perfectly. All of the dishes tasted good and safe bets but also nothing that would necessarily be a craving or bring me back. Quick service. For improvement: Galbi bowl was tough to eat with the plastic fork. The plastic fork was not strong enough to poke through the meat, not that the meat was tough. Need metal forks to eat the Galbi with. Menus set up high and spread across the full length of the bar so you can’t see the items on the left menu panel or even middle panel when you make it to the register— why do restaurants do this? Have a repeat of the menus— do one set at the front so people waiting in line can start thinking about what they want, then a same set of menus behind the register so we can remember. Tables were sticky- when we arrived and during the middle of our meal, we were the only ones in.Bad: nothing was bad though they need some fine tuningVegetarian options: Tofu“
“I hope this place stays open forever! Where else can you get tummy warming, feel good, comfort food? It's Korean porridge and my favorite is the chicken flavor. It's been so long since I've been I have to go back soon and post pics this time“
“I absolutely loved this place, it was the best. Please bring your friends and all your guest. When we first arrived we were immediately greeted, a great atmosphere and I love how we were treated.I came with my husband, mom, sister, and my niece. The food in this place was the ultimate feast.I can’t remember half of what we ate, but I can tell you the wings were absolutely great! We also indulged in a a happy hour drink, and as a thank you for coming, we were given a shot that was pink. This place is definitely a spot to tryand thank you Aska for the great service we will surely stop back by.One thing I didn’t mention was the kimchee fries, an item on the menu you have to try. My next trip back this will be my app, along with the bulgogi rice, my stomach may be sitting on my lap.But it won’t matter cause I will just go to the gym, and thank God for places like this that I’ll sing in a hymn.“
“I always make a point to stop by Zion food court whenever I'm in Dallas bc they have good quality foods. This dessert place is so cute and has such tasty desserts. The bingsoo's are all so good, I always get the hoteokk and a white grape ade!“
“Great smash burger joint. They get the perfect caramelized crust on the patties.K-Town style is my favorite with kimchi, jalapeño, lettuce, tomato and add cheese and an egg if you like. Bulgogi fries are also off the chain! One of my favorite burgers ever…several locations around Dallas.“
“If you are looking for an authentic spicy Korean style rice cakes, this is it. Only minor side is possible sitting area as it is located in H Mart Carrollton Food Court, which is small and does not provide water as a courtesy service in comparison to other food courts in Korean Markets.“
“This place is underrated! Came here for a party/event and the staff was very friendly and nice, and had everything set up. I didn't have high expectations for the food to be that good since it looked more like a boba cafe (as it was decorated really floral and pretty) and was a bar after all, but the food stood out on its own as well! The kimchi pork, rabokki, fish soup, creamy seafood pasta were SO good-- and I could actually imagine myself coming back here just for the food itself haha. The somek was also good, and as said before, service was friendly and great.“
“This store was located in a Korean food court and the place was generally clean and comfortable. There was not much service due to the food court setting, but the owner would serve the food to you on the table of your choice as the buzzer device was not used at all. I was a little surprised by the gamja tang I ordered as it tasted a little sweet and I was not expecting the sweetness in a spicy soup, based on my previous experiences with Korean tofu soup. However, after finishing the gamja tang, I was used to the sweetness and I started to like the soup. The meat from the pork ribs in the soup was very soft and tasty and I enjoyed the ribs very much. This was a great little store and I would certainly return to try other dishes like the raw crab and bossam jungsik.“
“Need some warm soup on a chilly day? Soup that's smooth and filling? This is the place! If you want good Korean Seolleongtang highly recommend this place. Reasonable pricing too. Order at the front counter. Pick up your order when your order number is called. Bowl is soup is placed on a metal tray with kimchi, kimchi radish, and scoop your own rice (pack as much as you want!). There's a little bar at the front counter you can refill on kimchi and scallions. There's other item will have to return and try out!“
“The Best Korean BBQ. Food is the top of the line for Korean BBQ joints. Variety is huge. Everything is fresh and well prep. The service was some the best we've had in a while. THE waiter was always available and anxious to please. Amazing, place an order; it seemed only seconds before it was placed for your use.The atmosphere was fast and loud. Yet it seemed everyone in our huge group could communicate easily without shouting.I have been to three Korean BBQ joints. GEN is the best.“
“Very good food high quality staff is very nice, the music was just a bit too loud. Also a lot of reviews complaining about getting a waiter attention. There is a call button and the waiter came almost immediately. It is not like a regular restaurant most asian restaurants are like that. If you looked at the table you would see it… Service was amazing so idk why people are complaining.“
“Amazing food and service. Our server Yang was very friendly and attentive to our family. Very nice buffet area included with the all you can eat Korean bbq. Lots of choices. Great place. Definitely recommend! Will try the shabu next time. Looked amazing too.“
“I recently returned to Texas from an overseas trip and used that as an excuse to celebrate with my friends over KBBQ! I've wanted to try Saemaeul since they first opened, and I'm so glad I finally stopped by. We came here on a busy Saturday evening when every table was filled and there was a party of 12 ahead of us on the list. Depsite this, we were seated after only ~10 minutes of waiting! We ordered the beef special combo plus an order of samgyeopsal, and boy was it a lot of food. I was really worried we would end up leaving unsatisfied because I'm used to AYCE bbq spots, but I was super wrong. The meat here was so delicious, I much prefer high quality plain meat to dip in sauce or salt myself versus sugary marinated meat, so I was super happy with how fresh everything tasted. The special comes with your choice of soup, we got the kimchi jjigae and it was gone within minutes. They are very generous with the side dishes, and not to worry, they will refill them free of charge despite not being AYCE. We had maybe five plates of lettuce because samgyeopsal and kimchi wrapped in lettuce is just the best thing ever. I enjoyed every single cut of meat we ate despite my typical basic order of bulgogi not being present. The combos are a great way to expand your palette a tiny bit if you're like me and tend to order the same things every time. They had multiple types of soju you can order, which was also appreciated. I got something new (Saero) and ended up really liking it! The servers here grill your meat for you, which was a bit of an adjustment because I'm used to doing it myself, but I ended up really enjoying leaving it up to the server. I felt like I actually got to fully engage in conversation at the table (designated meat grillers of their friend groups get what i mean hehe). I had a really really good time here, and while Samaeul isn't within my regular budget, this is a great place for birthdays and celebrations, though I don't know if I would bring a huge group here since the tables are all for 3-4 people max. This is my new favorite Korean BBQ spot and I will definitely come back!“
“Ppl might think I’m over exaggerating this review but I rarely review places. So, starting off everything here is AMAZING! The staff was welcoming and quick! And OMG the food was cooked to perfection and made fresh. Since it was my 1st time I had a couple of things:•beef stew (meat was so tender it fell apart and melted in my mouth, the broth and noodles was ♾️/10)•fried mandu (chose pork, it was crispy on the outside & rich/juicy on the inside)•boa buns (chose shrimp tempura, the shrimp was battered with literal perfection)•k-pop lemonade (so refreshing and you can tell it was made fresh)•dirty brown sugar with boba (so rich, not overly sweet either and right amount of coffee)I will definitely recommend this to everyone I know and I most definitely will be back!!“
“I love this place. Excellent service and staff. I’m always welcomed with laugh and hospitality We ordered fried wings (spicy galbi and soy garlic) and rose pasta. The food was sooo good. The chicken wings are piping hot and crunchy with even coat of seasoning. The pasta is creamy and flavorful I tried the kimchi carbonara last time I was there and it was delicious as well Definitely my go to place late at night for quick chicken fix. Much better than bbq chicken“
“This little hole in the wall was GREAT! The best handmade dumplings I've ever had! I watched them make the dumplings while I ate. So, I'm guessing my noodles were handmade as well. Yum! The owner was super nice. Kimchi was good. Since I don't speak Korean, I kept my receipt so I can order again!“
“Went there for dinner today. And they had a Soju special for $6.99 if you order food! It includes all soju too! The honey garlic and cheeseling were our favorite. The servers were attentive and took care or us very well. Will be back next week!“
“Have you watched the Squid Game? The dalgona ice cream at Frankseoul Frisco is to die for! Oh and the Soojungga (수정가) sweet cinnamon iced tea was what was needed to put out the fire after spicy dinner. I might even dare you to try it to see if you like it better than sweet Texas iced tea. ?“
“First it is location in the Zion Market food court. Second it’s… awesome!!!I ordered the chicken curry. It’s a full out meal as the picture attached shows. Curry is not spicy and food is excellent. It’s a definite try again. Also was watching the other orders and the tornado eggs look very cool!“
“Place was clean and cute- simple dining room. Menu is focused, with a nice variety of flavor options. The chicken is clearly cooked to order, so expect to wait about 20 minutes for your food. It was fresh, tender, juicy. The flavors didn’t wow us, but it was an enjoyable experience. Staff was gracious and helpful. Our orders were $14 and $16 for wings and fried chicken, respectively… sides and appetizers ran about $7-12.“
“FOOD handmade Noodles Soup with Kimchi - I came here post sickness so was craving some soup. The kimchi stew isn't super spicy which was good. The noodles were very soft and chewy which made it taste super good. I will say that they do give pretty large portion sizes so it would be good to split with someone if you do not eat that much. Overall the flavor was pretty alright. I will say I got flavor fatigued over time and it started to taste bland but that's just because I was probably eating a lot of it (lol!). They also give kimchi and pickled radish on the side. The kimchi was really good. It wasn't super fermented or sour which is how I like it and there were lots of leaf from the vegetable (which is my favorite part). The pickled radish was also pretty yummy as well. VIBES I came with my friend during the weekday at around noon for lunch. There were lots of people coming in from working places nearby. There is wooden tables with metal chairs and the place does hold quite a few people. It gives very traditional home vibes in that the atmosphere is very cozy and everything is simplistic. Great for a casual lunch or family dinner! SERVICE Service was pretty average. Food came out quickly and not too much interaction with staff other than ordering food. Food comes in sizable portions for a good price! Everyone was nice though!“
“The first time I came here, there was a winter storm, and I had just driven back into Dallas on icy roads. My partner and I were cold and hungry, and even though most restaurants and stores were closed due to the freezing weather, Jang Choong Dong was still open. They were so kind to stay open, and the piping hot soups were amazing and warmed us up. We came back again to try the jokbal, bossam, and sundae. All of it was phenomenal. Admittedly, I am Taiwanese and not Korean so I’m not an expert, but I really enjoyed everything and would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious meaty meals. I think it was a great value. There were enough leftovers for both of us to eat for lunch the next day. The restaurant inside is small but has very nice cozy vibes. They play kpop videos on the screen, but it’s not super loud which I appreciate. I brought my aunt to eat here as well, and she also really liked it and plans on bringing friends here. I hope they stay around for a long time. They’re a great addition to the neighborhood.“
“Food was good! Roasted whole chicken wasn’t so good it was too dry:/ We got chicken feet, pork belly, grilled squid, fried squid and spicy golbangi noodle they were alllllll good. Our favorite was spicy chicken feet!! Service was good atmisphere was good but it was so dark we asked if they could turn on the light more ? and they did.“
“This place is definitely a treat for the price tag; but if you ever get the chance to try it it’s incredible. The portions are small and meant to be shared, which allows you to try a wide variety of the menu. The Ab Tuna Pizza was one of my favorite dishes we tried, along with the Yellowtail Serrano. The service was excellent, as were the sake flights.Would highly recommend for a special event or work dinner!“
