“My husband and I recently celebrated our 36th anniversary. We’d celebrated on the weekend but on the actual day, we were headed to the big Barnes and Noble at Southlake and wanted to eat. Both of use hungry for steak we pulled up the restaurants around BN and found Trulucks. We’d never been there before and decided to try it. I’m so glad we did. A truly classy, gorgeous place with great atmosphere. We had a table in the dining room and the one of the best wait help, Germane Cain, the at I believe we’ve ever experienced.
This gentleman was extremely educated in cuisine, and he could share his knowledge without seeming pretentious. In fact, had we met Mr. Cain under other circumstances I think we would have had a great conversation. As it was, he had to take care of his other tables but did so without our ever having to ask for anything. This would be a great place to take family or business people and be sure that you would not be embarrassed.
We had new wines due to the great advice, and new dishes such as broccolini. And at the finish he brought us a big platter with Happy Anniversary written on it in chocolate and a Baked Alaska. I’d seen these on TV but never had one. This absolutely transcended the boundaries of regular or even top-drawer dining, becoming an experience in culinary delight.
The location is fantastic; you can stuff yourself silly and then go walk it off in the bookstore. The food was prepared so well the steaks almost melted in our mouths. The parmesan potatoes were almost as rich as the dessert. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.“

When it was time for our daughter’s complimentary birthday dessert, she was kind enough to give my 6 year old a complimentary dessert for her birthday coming up next Monday! “Fabulous night at the Fort Worth location. Was there for our 24th anniversary. Everything was top notch and perfect. Our server Riley was top notch, pleasant, knowledgeable, and attentive. The wine steward/concierge presented our wine with finesse. The food was great, wine outstanding and oh lord... the espresso martini was delicious!! “Me and my fiancé stopped in to grab a bite to eat before a business meeting we were in town for and let me tell you the food was amazing!!! We got the spinach and crab dib, something crusted salmon lol and the seafood platter, raw oysters (so good and fresh) the passion fruit martini, blood orange mule, pineapple margarita and finished with bread pudding and Crème brûlée! We couldn’t stop ordering because everything was so good!! “I was hesitant about Mexican seafood on a higher scale by experience in the past at other establishments. This place is worth every penny. The food is absolutely delicious, has spice options for those with a spicy 🌶️ level above 4. We had lunch, dinner same week and lunch again the following week. The drinks are top notch and they had the BEST service I have ever experienced at any restaurant. EVER. Our new favorite spot. Highly recommend.“

“FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!!! We came here tonight for my kids birthday party. She's quite shy but we still wanted to have the goofy birthday experience that we had growing up (coming to Joe's Crab shack for birthday celebrations has become a tradition in our family). Well, they sure did it! Our server, Jose, was amazing, friendly, checked on us often, made sure we had what we needed, and answered all our questions with a smile. He made us feel super welcome and well taken care of. I wish we could have tipped him more. Then a whole bunch of crew members came out to do the birthday celebration with our kid, who was thoroughly entertained & embarrassed, as we had wanted, haha. And the food was stellar, which has always been the case in the past when we came here so I expected nothing less. Overall this was a fantastic pending to an important birthday and left our whole family feeling wonderful. 10/10, highly recommend, and thank you so much to Jose and the amazing crew of this Joe's Crab Shack! Sidenote: Every time we go here we always get the Great Balls of Fire, the painted crab dessert and the "Shark Nibble" drink, all of which are 100% worth getting every time. Upon crossing the threshold of this fine establishment, I was greeted not as a mere traveler seeking sustenance, but as honored royalty returning from victorious battle. The hall itself was warm and lively, filled with aromas so magnificent that even the greatest feasts of ancient kings would pale in comparison.

Our most honorable steward for the evening, the noble Sir Cy, conducted himself with grace, wisdom, and hospitality befitting a knight of the highest order. Never once did our goblets run dry, nor were we left waiting in hunger. Sir Cy possessed deep knowledge of the sacred menu scrolls and guided us through the offerings with confidence and courtesy. His demeanor was cheerful, respectful, and steadfast, as though he had sworn an oath before the royal court to ensure all guests departed fully satisfied and in good spirits.

As for the feast itself, I partook in the shrimp tacos, and I say this truthfully before all witnesses: these were not mere tacos, but culinary treasures forged by the hands of master craftsmen. The shrimp were cooked to perfection, seasoned with enchantments unknown to mortal men, bearing flavors so rich and glorious that I nearly rose from my seat to proclaim victory unto the heavens. Each bite delivered balance and harmony worthy of the royal banquet tables of old. The tortillas were soft and fresh as morning bread from the village ovens, while the toppings and sauces complemented the shrimp with precision akin to a blacksmith forging a legendary blade.

Never before have I encountered seafood so fresh and noble in character. One could easily believe the shrimp had been harvested directly from Poseidon’s own waters and delivered by royal carriage straight unto the kitchen. The portions were generous, the presentation magnificent, and the quality remained unwavering throughout the entirety of the feast.

Furthermore, the establishment itself was kept in immaculate order. The tables shone as though polished for a gathering of kings, and the atmosphere carried both comfort and merriment throughout the hall. The staff moved with efficiency and honor, ensuring every patron was treated with dignity and care.

But above all else, it was Sir Cy who elevated this evening from a simple meal unto a legendary tale worthy of song and parchment.
