“Pollo Regio is conveniently located on the exterior of the Gran Plaza. We dined in on Thursday night with no wait and quick service. The cashier and floor food deliverer were very hospitable. The food was delicious and the kids left very little to no leftovers.The only thing I would critical about would be there were some tables dirty in the dine in area.We ordered the caldo de pollo, barbacoa taco, and the kids ate half a chicken. All very healthy portions and left us very FULL.We usually have it delivered but wanted the experience of getting all the toppings from the salsa bar.“

Tho this time the meat was a bit to salty THIS time usually it is consistent with the flavor so that's why I gave them a 4 star in food I would have preferred to do a 4.5. Atmosphere is not bad very spacious and they don't cram the tables in like someplace so it's quite nice inside. Also another note brought Mt baby and I needed to changer her and realized that they don't have a charging table. I lucy have a bag that can change into one so I was fortunate enough for that.“

“I’m familiar with this place from one of their previous locations in Nashville well over 10 years ago, i was excited to see it here in DFW, it had been over 10 years since i got to taste it again, and it didn’t disappoint. It tasted exactly like I remembered from Nashville, The chicken is uniquely fried, blended with a great mix of spices for great flavors and a little heat. This is a good definition of southern comfort food. Their sweet tea, and Cole slaw are great! Worth a visit, it was a great mom and pop atmosphere, and the service is very friendly.“

“My discrepancy is not their fault, but about a week after Biden took office, gas prices went up, and this caused the prices of their chicken to go up a lot. Also, all of the great deals they used to have stopped. Fortunately, the quality of the food did not change, and this is what forces me to still buy the food. Maybe one day, when gas prices decrease, the cost of chicken will too. They are not the only ones who did this to their customers. Oh well.“

“I didn't get any pics bc we drove from midland and were absolutely starving by the time we got our food! We just left the doctor and used yelp to find something close by. It was such a good suggestion! The menu is on a tablet on the other side of the counter by the restrooms but it's easy to use! The manager was so awesome and helpful! I got the double chicken sandwich and it was fresh and so delicious! The Mac and cheese was amazing and the pickles are soo good! The cucumber jalapeño lemonade was the perfect addition to it. For dessert we got the banana pudding and that was the perfect sweetness to finish the meal! I would definitely recommend coming here again! Fresh food and great service!“

They also have one of the most complete beverage offerings around. You name it they've got it. There usually aren't any tables, strictly takeout, and the size of the chicken pieces are what I call normal, not like the enormous ones at other chains, but you can't bet the price, taste or quantity at Lisa's. Apparently, there was a dinner rush prior to our arrival. All but one person was in the back taking a break. The girl at the counter was nice and helpful. Once we ordered, our experience went downhill. We waited 15 minutes for our food. Nobody else was waiting on an order. There were no small drink lids. We had to ask at the counter for them. All of the tables were dirty. We had to get someone to come clean a table for us. Then it was too wet. We had to get napkins to dry it off so we could sit down. The floor had trash all over it. The trash receptacles were overflowing. The chicken in our tacos was cold. We brought it back for hot chicken. That took another 15 minutes. With nobody else ordering ahead of us, it took 30 minutes to get a hot meal and a clean place to eat. I love the food. I have a sensitive stomach, and El Pollo Loco is one of the very few fast food places that doesn't leave me ill. I'll be back for that reason. Hopefully, this one negative experience will be a one-time thing.“
“I went there for the first time because of the reviews. I ordered shrimp fried rice, a leg, wing and combo meal, and a 3 piece chicken tender meal. I must say food was just as delicious as the reviews said. However, they don’t get 5 stars because they did not include my cheesecake. I got that as a treat because I hardly get desserts, only to get home and it was not in the bag. Plus, why must I pay for something and not get it? Please check your food before you leave.“
