“When I travel I like to find local spots to eat rather than the chain places. I picked out the Ballard Street Cafe because it looked like an older place in an old downtown spot. I was not disappointed as it was exactly what I thought with exposed brick, wood floors, and a 50’s style lunch counter. In addition there were several tables and the required set of local characters sharing breakfast and gossip over coffee. The waitstaff was attentive and polite, and made you feel right at home. To complete the experience, I have to talk about the food. I ordered a 2 egg breakfast with chicken fried steak. It also came with choice of hash browns or grits and b&g, toast, or a pancake. I chose the b&g and grits. First off, the chicken fry was obviously hand breaded and cooked perfectly. They gave me a knife but it was fork tender. The grits were hearty and flavorful. The side of b&g came with TWO homemade biscuits and cream gravy. Everything was awesome! I ended up taking half my steak and the b&g home for a second meal. Getting ALL this with coffee for about $15 with tax almost felt criminal. If you’re ever in Wylie, do yourself a favor and check them out!“

“I had my first Culver’s burger yesterday, and whooooly moly!! I feel like I’ve been lied to my entire life about what a good burger tastes like!
I had the fried pickle pub burger and fries.
First - I have never had a burger that was so hot!
Second - how the hell is it so juicy that it’s dripping, and still piping hot?!
Voodoo is the only logical answer.

I got a pint of custard to go because I was so full I couldn’t breathe, but the burger was so good I couldn’t make myself stop eating it. Oreo Cheesecake custard is A+++.

“Went in to watch Sunday football with the family and I was highly impressed! The food was great and the atmosphere was electric. All the games were on massive tvs, and while there was an energy in the room, there is enough spots where you can still be intimate with a group. Our bartender/server was Jessica. She was highly attentive and provided great input on what to order. Great service and friendly! 11 stars, will definitely be going back!“

“March 2025 We chose this place for out 53rd wedding anniversary. We have had excellent meals here in the past for special occasions but tonight was beyond expectations. Tuesday nights are usually low attendance, but the staff at BIN 303 were beyond welcoming and attentive to us. It seems as if the whole staff was waiting for us, all knew about our occasion, and they went out of their way to make this evening a special one for us. The meal was spectacular in every way. Our waitress Seeli was attentive and a joy. The bar hostess was also extremely accommodating, taking good care of us while we waited for a private booth to become available. Everyone made for a perfect evening for us, one that we will never forget. As for the meal. the filets were the best we have ever had, and every side and desert made the meal unforgettable. “We went to Wildwood hoping for a really good chicken fried steak, and boy were we disappointed. First of all it was extremely noisy especially for 2:00 on a Sunday. But hoping for the best we stayed and decided to try to spinach artichoke dip. It comes out looking almost like a French onion soup, the top covered with cheese and looks great! However we would have been better off opening a tub from Sam's Club as the one at this restaurant had no flavor whatsoever, you couldn't even make out what it was. We were hungry so we ate it. Next our meals come out. The chicken fried steak was huge, well plated, and looked amazing! Too bad that was as good as it got. It was tender, yet absolutely no flavor at all. My hubby had to drench it in salt & pepper and tobasco to give it any taste. I tried a piece and was extremely disappointed. My meal, the Atlantic Salmon was cooked to my specifications which was a pleasant surprise. Yet it appears the chef counts on the grill to contribute all flavor instead of any seasoning. The basmati rice was nothing more than what I could have prepared at home in a steamer, and as for the jicama slaw, which I was looking forward to trying was unimpressive. Fortunately a small part of the bowl had a smidgen of tomatilla sauce which I used to give the food a little flavor....not much but something. Overall, we spent $61.00 on food that would have been better almost anywhere else at a fraction of the cost. Not worth it, sorely disappointed and will not return. The one thing that is a positive about the restaurant is the staff. Service was excellent. Not impressed at all.“

“Chicken fried chicken is what I had set my mind on. When we arrived, I ened up getting the catfish and added shrimp. The pieces of catfish were small so they ended up giving me 5 (it's the simple things in life that I love). It seemed like a simple cornmeal batter, which I grew up on and wanted. Not sure the spices they add to the batter but I WILL BE BACK TO ORDER MORE!! Staff was extremely friendly and the patrons all seemed to be regulars. My buddy got a burger and onion rings. Burger looked great and I can say the onion rings were absolutely great!

“it's a small diner but was very comfortable. our waitress was very helpful and nice, attentive without being a bother breakfast was delicious. my husband had a veggie omelette packed full of yummy things. I had a fried pork chop and eggs. we enjoyed every bite it was well worth it. we found this just by looking online. glad we went there. if we ever come back this way we would go again.“

“I love this place! Tonight Kelsey was my server. I've had her numerous times before, and the service as always was superb! I drink unsweetened iced tea, and she brings me a new glass of tea before I have even finished the one I am drinking. Everyone is so friendly! The food is great, and if something is wrong with it they quickly replace it. This has only happened a time or two, one of which was my fault for not ordering correctly. In spite of that they still graciously replaced it. I can't recommend this place enough!“

“First time at a Fish City Grill. Sat at the bar. Had their blackened red fish special. Not only was it priced reasonably, but it was clearly a very high quality, never frozen piece of fish. All sides and ingredients were fresh and fantastic as well. Will be back with friends and family.
