“Found this little gem from a simple Google search and I’m already addicted! My friend and I enjoyed breakfast there and we’re already planning a return trip. Who cares that it’s an hour away from home, it’s worth the drive! I had the granola pancake (🤤) and my friend had the strawberry french toast special (equally delicious). We also took home cinnamon and raspberry rolls (to die for). Give this place a try, you’ll be glad you did!“

“I don't do review on Google. But Cafe on 1st is so spectacular that I feel like I just have to spread the Gospel. The coffee is fantastic (the best in Utah in my opinion) and the food (breakfast sandwiches, burritos, etc.) is a hidden gem and delicious. Love Cafe on 1st!!!“

“I absolutely love Cafe Shambala and highly recommend stopping by! Every time we host family or guests visiting, we bring them to eat here. Both the lunch buffet and the dinner menu are delicious. Our favorites are the spiced potatoes, the marinated chicken, the momos, and the traditional rice pudding dessert. My husband and I have never had less than a 5-star experience, especially with the excellent service. My only suggestion for improvement would be to more clearly post a drink menu during lunch, specifically for the refreshing mango lassi and other tasty drinks available. Last time I was there, the only posting of this information was a faded printer paper taped on the outside windows.“

“This place is a gem if you can find it. Small, no frills food counter with outstanding breakfast and coffee. Machaca eggs and chicken fried steak and eggs were off the charts.

Parking: It's located above a trucking parts and service counter so parking is limited.“

“Food: was mislead by the marketing photos. You can tell a coffee place by the pictures. If they can do the latte art and have that crema on top, that's a good coffee shop. You know there may be a legitimate coffee. Unfortunately, this was not it... I ordered a latte and a cortado - they don't have or offer sparkling water for cortados. The size was also wrong for the cortado and both drinks had very little to no crema, and the texture was just like steamed milk. Definitely need to hire an actual coffee barista - Super disappointed 😞. We also ordered the bagel and pepper jack - it was just okay!

Service - the people there are super nice! They were patient, friendly and lovely. They brought your order to you. Cannot complain - super nice!

Atmosphere - it looks legit, super nice atmosphere that you can chill, study, or work there. This probably mislead my food expectations too haha. But the place was clean, bathroom was super clean and can sit outside on a nice day.

“We stumbled across Plated Dreams on our way to Antelope Island and are so glad we did! The food was fantastic and beautifully presented, and, coming from the UK, we were delighted to see a bit of British inspiration in the menu. I also loved their coffee - the banana bread latte was so yummy! The restaurant itself is stunning and has such a lovely atmosphere - the perfect spot for a girly brunch!

But what truly makes this place special is the people behind it. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and a special shout-out to the owners, Angie and Chris, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We were going through a difficult and unexpected time during our travels, and Angie and Chris showed us a level of warmth, generosity and compassion that we will never forget. They turned what could have been just another lunch stop into one of the most memorable highlights of our trip.

It’s clear how much love and hard work they’ve poured into creating such a beautiful space, and it’s a real reflection of the lovely people they are. If you’re in the area, I couldn’t recommend Plated Dreams enough - not just for the delicious food, but for the people who make it such a special place.“

“Im from Canada and everytime i travel, I try to get some BBQ. I've tried many places all around the Country and Salt City BBQ is by far the best BBQ in Utah. We had the lean and fatty brisket, OMG, the fatty had sooooo much flavor and the lean did not disappoint either. The turkey had an amazing smokey flavor and so tender. The BBQ sauce had a very nice sweet flavor but not over bearing on the sweet, just perfect. And the corn bread, OMG the best corn bread I've ever had, so fluffy and melt in your mouth. The owner was amazing and his staff as well. My buddy had the sausage and said it was the perfect blend of spices and cheese. The pork belly was so tender you don't even need teeth it'll just melt in your mouth. Give this place a try...IT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!“

“I live in Colorado and never heard of Alpha Coffee. I visited Salt Lake City, and friend recommended we meet at the downtown location. I ordered an "Aztec" and it was great. Something different, new and tasty for me. I liked the drink, the vibe and the servers ... the whole experience was great! I look forward to my next visit to SLC. I'll stop at Alpha again - to try the Poly! :)“

“Sugar Space is so great! It was 1.5 miles from the Koa where I was staying and I wasn’t sure if it was worth the walk, it’s got a great little coffee shop/ cafe, the food and drinks are nice, Edgar the barista is sooooo sweet and accommodating and the owners are really great. They have good speed internet to get some work done and even a play area for kids. The owners were so kind and welcoming! It was the best part of my visit to Salt Lake!“

My favorites are the mocha and caramel macchiato, but all drinks—hot or iced—are excellent. Great for a quick caffeine boost or a light bite like a pastry or sandwich.“
